Got up to second place in LOT but got greedy and when I finished my match, lost 30 points. Tried a few more matches, won, but got retal and lost 48 points... from 2nd to 8th.
I just need red patch!
Update: Beware of Lazy Daken! viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5454&p=95094#p950940 -
I get that feeling.. feeling close to the 4*
But I'm just gonna hold on 2nd at 704 pts. Saving the energy to push for sim0 -
i think every pvp will have alliance rewards going forward. so i will open up few more slots in the next few days.
i will push harder for unholy outlaw, need those bp cover .
man..... when will we see ms marvel, emma frost, colossus & cyclops0 -
Hei Zhen Zhu wrote:Thanks for the detailed response there Kidicarus, I think I get it now.
Seems though I have got into a pretty decent bracket for the LordofT. Although now I've said that its probably the kiss if death!
My tanking helped greatly in the tournament, didn't get attacked once with my team of 115 Classic Mags, 141 Punisher and 66 (unbuffed) lazy thor during my climb and I won close to 80 pts in defensive victories to finally put up a shield at 780ish my only problem is that I joined a bracket with 2 members of S.H.I.E.L.D alliance and that the no 1 guy has been shielded for more than 24 hours at 904....0 -
guys, human torch is coming and i have a bad feeling that we need to level lazy cap in order to get ahead.
if he comes out as a 4* , then competition will be quite fierce.
i wasted enough iso with 2* cap.
gold daken also coming, which is a perfect match with psylocke, hopefully he has 3rd skill.
but too much gold chars makes me want to throw away all the unnecessary 2* chars.0 -
Haven't looked at the Unholy Outlaw event yet... just back from work. But thanks for pushing in LOT... though I've no need for yellow Patch, I did at least make my Patch 4/4/5 now and can max it first before getting the 5th red.
Update: guys... how do I get lower opposition? My opponents in Unholy Outlaw is their own buffed up Hood, which is lots of levels above me, and 141 with another 110++. Skipped a few times and it still matches me to these levels.0 -
Let's go team!0

Glad to be part of it.0 -
Hi and welcome to new members!
Hulk black is the alliance reward for Fearless Defenders.
Update: How do I lower my MMR rating? I'm getting more 141s in my match ups... or opponents with much more levels than me.0 -

And Hulk covers indeed. Awesome!0 -

You gotta put up tanking or deliberately lose matches.
Lightning rounds are best for tanking:
Go into pvp as soon as it starts, to have the seed teams (low level enemy teams) stored in your queue.
Leave a seed team in your queue and build up your points to a decent amount with other nodes, to make yourself as a juicy target.
Put up a low level tank team to win the stored seed team and leave it as it is.
The more people attack you, the lower your MMR rating goes0 -
OK, finally understood tanking. Thanks!0

Just dropping in to say hello to the new members. Welcome!
I'll start one final push in the Simulator to secure a top 10 spot in my main bracket and also to do my part in keeping our alliance in the top 50--we're at exactly #50 right now. What a grind it has been
Okay, back to lurking now.0 -
Up to you guys. I am out. No more health pack. Reaching ard 2680000

Finished top 2 in the last normal and hard simulators and 1st in Simulator basics. Got the invisible woman that I missed out on in unholy outlaw earlier in the day as well so it was a really good result overall. I did 2 and a half refreshes for the last set of sims (so basically joining the day before) and finishing around the 260k level. Managed to keep my scaling down up till the last sub-events and it was a relatively stress free pve event up to the last 2 hours where I basically grinded the nodes down for as many points as I could get.
We also achieved our goals as an alliance with the simulator we finished top 100/50 in normal-hard respectively but more importantly, we finished top 50 for that extra 25HP
Will take a break from MPQ for today but will join fearless defenders tomorrow after I've tanked my MMR down a bit.
edit: yuck - 450HP roster spot for lazy cap which won't be useful until his next set of covers.0 -
Hey all, great job on persevering in the sim. I assume everyone got their 8000 iso progression reward?
I think all of us need a break before the next pve start.
I'm going to watch Winter Soldier tomorrow night, yay!
Will join FD today after work and make the last push tomorrow after work too.0 -
Hmmm, gonna be smart for next PVP and join late. Had to skip many times cos the matching gave me lots of lower point opponents or 20-30 point opponents with Spidey or couple of 141s.0
-
Darn it... PvE comes sooner than expected.
I will open up the last 3 slots.
I think going forward, pvp and pve will have alliance rewards. But not all of us can really keep up with the pace. So i'm thinking, having 20 members will help us maintain placement.
As a general aim, we should reach top 100 for pvp and top 250 for pve. Please note that i'm not making this a compulsory, but all of you have been doing a great job as we always place in top 50.
Also, please don't be shy to let the team know if any of you need/want the reward from a specific pvp or pve.
Cheers.0 -
Well, this event is trickier to figure out than previous ones. I've still not joined a bracket and I might miss a bracket or 2 as I will be travelling this weekend. Anyway, as far as I know, there are no sub events just nodes on the main map page which reset after a certain point in time? This means optimising your grinding by maximising rubber banding to hit progression rewards so you're not forced to grind nodes down to 1.
I know some members joined as soon as the event started and I'm still convinced that this is probably the worst way to join an event as you're likely to be lumped with hardcore players and hence the greater competitive pressure (and stress). In the last pve event, I joined a day and a half late and the spread between 1-10 was about 90,000 towards the end of the event - 3rd place and 2nd was about 20-30k difference and I still ended up hitting the 250k progression.
Anyway, I'm not telling you guys how to play just advising to read the forums and time your brackets properly to not burn yourself out. It's a marathon not a sprint. I hear the PVE scaling is horrible in this one.0
