  • Welcome to Bajousai! (is it related to "hittokiri battousai" by any chance? icon_lol.gif )

by the way, i think we have a chance to be in top 50.

one more thing guys, please no need to put a lot of pressure on yourself to grind so much.

i understand we all have real life to attend to icon_e_biggrin.gif

I think not many people are grinding in hard... I was 2nd when I finished the first round before 1pm and now dropped to 9th place. The easy bracket is where the competition is for rewards and easy points. >.<
  • Welcome to the team Bajousai! great to have you onboard.
  • Welcome to our latest 2 members, Wildsleven and syrnory!

Guys, here's a little info about the current simulator.

The event last for 10 days, there are 4 rotating buffed 3* heroes, 4 subs @ 2.5 days each. So the schedule looks something like this:

1st sub ends at Monday 12 noon. (Psylocke)
2nd sub ends at Thursday 27th March, 0:00 (BP/Thor/Doom). good for asia
3rd sub ends at Saturday 29th March, 12 noon (BP/Thor/Doom). good for asia (weekend)
4th sub ends at Tuesday 1st April, 0:00 (BP/Thor/Doom). good for asia

    Cheers!

Hi and welcome to the new team members!

Just wondering if you guys will be joining the new subs as it opens (noon tomorrow) or you guys will play casually depending on your free time?

I joined the current subs only before 10am yesterday and it seems that the current main bracket and subs that I'm in aren't competitive - which means no crazy 230s for everyone.
  • i usually join subs when the points have reached max for simulator 9 (it was 3400 pts for hard mode for 1st sub, usually the points get higher for subsequent sub) and i start clearing from sim 7-9 then 1-4, 5-7, both easy and hard mode. Then i rest until the points reach max again, repeat the process. if i happen to have more time to grind for iso, i grind easy mode first just to get 250 and 500 iso.

i save all my boosts for the last 1 hour of the event.

    OK, got it. Thanks!
  • Are you guys feeling we should add members?

currently at the time of this writing, i have 49k pts, SHIELD avg 48.5k pts, A-Force avg 44k pts. Hypothetically, if we have 20 members, we could be in top 20. but looking at the rewards, it's only marginal increase.

so what do you guys think?

Not too sure about this - cos for the moment I feel that there aren't many people pushing for this PVE's rewards.

At the end of the 1st subs I had roughly 53k - I would say it's not worth the hassle for a few iso/hps. I'm personally in A-Force alliance because I don't want to be obligated to be competitive. At the same time, it's really unfair for you to have paid out so much hp for guild slots and you should try to enforce a joiners pay for their slot policy.

On a side note.. I need everyone to compete in lone star skirmish! I'm exactly 1 yellow, blue and black from a 5/5/3 hood! The trouble with lone star skirmish is lack of healers and everyone is at the same strength :S If I'm not mistaken 1st was in the low 500s in my bracket. You can imagine that it's a real PITA to compete in.

edit: oh cool, just took a peek at normal and hard brackets for the pve sub-event and and opening mobs for normal and hard subs are 48 and 58 respectively. I've been switching up my rosters in the 1st sub and using most of my lvl 50+ characters (lvl 50 1*storm, lvl 6 Bullseye who's buffed to lvl 38 currently, 50+ares have all been really effective) and making the most of rubber banding. Only used spider-man 2-3 times so far. I'm hoping that the mobs don't scale too quickly due to community scaling.

Yes! I was just about to ask if the alliance members can join Lone Star Skirmish as they are giving out Hood covers. Wanna level up my Hood as well. icon_e_smile.gif

As for healing there's always prologue missions to heal the * stars.

Update: BTW now is a good time to join LSS as there are lots of seed teams. I think it'll be easy to get at least the first 3 progression rewards.
  • Well, i don't mind adding new member as long as they are indeed active players and prioritize on alliance rewards.

But the real reason for that is actually the alliance management problem, which i'm pretty sure d3 gonna do something about it in R50.

And yes, you are right, i don't want you guys to put pressure on yourself to be competitive, being in top #20 all the time, all hardcore and isolating yourself just to get ahead in the game.
In the end, it's a game and we should have fun (and sometimes bragging about ourself icon_lol.gif ).

But i'm somewhat surprised at how dedicated our team is icon_e_biggrin.gif considering there are only few of us posting in the forum.

I love lone-star skirmish! while i know some of you don't need hood, please rally together and put some effort to at least nail 1 yellow cover for everyone, lets aim for top 100.
  • Yup, I'll be competing for the hood covers. I don't think we necessarily need to add more slots at this time, personally ended on 48k as well in the 1st round and was not overly committed just tried to optimise the RB

I believe that the 1st time you open up an event you'll see whether you have seed teams queued up. If you do have seed teams, you don't actually have to enter a bracket - they will be saved to your queue. Unless you're planning to tank it's not really worthwhile hitting the seed teams at this time (in my opinion).

edit: just received top 50 and top 100 alliance prizes.
  • My 1 star roster is weak, but i'll try to get as much points as i can. I'm getting hit almost from the start as people sees a deliciously weak 1 star team with 100+ point. I want the yellow Hood too, if I cannot get it I'll compete in the lighting round to get him.

I finished 1st in the hard sub and think 20+ in the easy one for total 55k I think. I'm not competitive in the alliance thing, after all, the rewards are mostly add-ons to the individual rewards.
  • Okay good, at least i know how you guys feel about the alliance rewards.

Then i won't be expanding anymore. Unless if there's a great player who wants to join us.

just out of curiousity who are you guys using for the Lazy Thor + goons fight? He nearly wiped my team of Ares/Punisher/OBW.
