IceIX said the next PvE will have alliance rewards. And i'm guessing it'll be right after juggie.

Another 10 days of gruesome grinding, with new lazy character, most likely gonna be lazy captain, coincides with the movie release. (this is my speculation )

But i'm still hoping they are going to release completely new 3* cap.

I'm in the same bracket as aeijei. I was #13 this morning, he was #5. Going to wake up like 4am tomorrow to grind for 1 hour, aim for top 10 then go back to sleep.

My level 120 psylocke doesn't do much in this event without spidey

@kenster & heizhenzhu: i guess you two are power-leveling m.thor there.

It's good that alliance-based events are held once a week. We need some rest too, and have more time grinding during the weekend.

I'm holding back in spending hp now just in case we need more members.

I've not joined the current heroic juggernaut - plan to enter lunchtime - it's on 12 hour refresh so I'm just going to focus on unlocking the nodes in the day ( in between doing actual work) and then see how many points I can get after family time with the wife and kid.

The trouble with last minute grinds for heroic PVE is that you never know how much time you need to spend doing Osborne corp healing due to lack of healing characters which is the most limiting factor when grinding pve.

The Thor event was a washout for me. Spent about 11 hours yesterday in airports and on planes so didn't have a chance to compete seriously and joined a bracket 1 hour 8 mins before event ended. I made about 560 points in that time and finished top 25 for a 3/2/3 psylocke but I know I could have made at least top 10 if not for the server outage. Grr.

I never join immediately for PVE so if they're doing alliance pve - that's really going to benefit the real hardcore and the ones that start straight away. All I can say is that I'm not looking forward to that.

BTW new logo looks awesome, now it looks like the A actually means something!

If you joined the bracket at 5-6pm our time (gmt +7-8), you won't have a lot competition from us players.

When an event ending time favours the US players, i always join around 3-6pm, that's when US players are sleeping and some european players playing (morning time for european)

When the ending time favours us (like the last lord of lightning), join a bracket in the morning when US players are playing.

Yup, I've gone all in on Thor, hopefully can hold (number2 at mo) onto top ten for another 3 covers but its gunna mean an early start/late night!

I'm still gutted to lose that yellow x-force last night

May have to give those timing tactics a go next time round!

Buffed 3/3/3 Thor is good for Heroic Juggs at the moment - unfortunately he has to tank for most of the matching due to MBW and MStorm.

I'll see what are the rewards for the next Alliance PVE... If it's Thor most likely I'll buy yellow and green and make it 3/4/4 and hope to get covers from the rewards. At level 85 already. Woot!

@kensster I'm not convinced that spending any HP on Thor is a good idea. Yep He's good dps especially his yellow power (probably the best in the game) which sets up for his green power, but then he's also just another dps.

I've only spent money once on the game, and that was during the steam sale where I got nick fury's doomsday pack which came with bucket loads of iso and HP. I used that to get a 5 blue spider-man who's basically the one character that's essential for taking down lvl 230 mobs and that helped me earn so many 3 star covers in my 2star to 3 star transition. The best part is he's still lvl 55 and perfectly viable for lvl 230 mobs.

I know you don't have a yellow cover for Spider-man but if you do, i'd certainly recommend getting him up to 5 blue. (Even though he's due for a nerf)

grats on pve performance guys! I only managed top 20 due to valuing sleep more. I'm going to time my brackets so that I only have to do 1 clear in the future - the times you have to keep to perform well in events, sigh... Reminds me of my raiding days in World of Warcraft.

Many people will be tanking divine champions - this tourney awards doom covers. From what I understand doom will be one of the buffed characters for the simulator pve event so it'll be worthwhile going for divine champions if you haven't maxed your doom covers.

edit: can't tell from just looking at the level 1 covers but so far the only real improvement for lazy cap is the fact that his blue now leaves behind a protect tile

are you saying that if we win a battle with full hp, the scaling's gonna get worse?

on other note, looks like there are many alliances with 20 members. i will expand our team again probably 2-3 more members. i dont think the lazy cap is well worth it, unless some of you might be a perfectionist.

however it's good opportunity to grind some iso. So i'm not so sure how well we gonna be in this event, but i'll try to grind as much point as i can. lets aim for at least 1 blue lazy cap for everyone. top 250.

i think simulator somehow is less grindy than other pve events. i only join a sub bracket when the points are full and do 1 last round when the points recharged.

just now i got 3400 pts from sim 10 (hard) alone.

the first sub brackets are a breeze for me coz i have psylocke.

if any of you plan to spend hp, then use it on spidey. he can escalate your team to beat the odds .

fyi, rotating 3* big buffed chars are psylocke, doom, Bp and lazy thor.

From what I understand, PVE scaling looks at your overall performance, ICEIX gave some hints here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5081&p=84827#p84827 and he's been dripping information here and there on how the mechanics work.

edit: Pucco, since you've joined the simulator, when does the 1st sub event ends? I feel like doing 2 refreshes max as I want to use the weekend for Dark Souls 2 and Family time
