OK feeling a bit lame right now, thought I'd figured out enough numbers to deduce that rwagz was inactive so I checked the alliance score, then booted him and checked it again. We dropped about 10k so I guess he wasn't inactive after all

Trying to stay optimistic, maybe the booting will draw him back to the forums, and then he'll see what's been going on. At the very least we may be able to reinvite him, depending on his response to my PM. Failing that, we do now have our 7th slot open, and given we now know that the R50 update contains nothing to deal with the commander issue, my hands are tied to inviting new members willing to buy the next slot up, by commanderising and then decommanderising them, by way of resignation... that this is the only way to do it is very lame indeed, but dems da breaks. I'll post an update if I hear any more news, and I hope we'll be up to at least the full current 7 members by the end of this event.

Sorry for my late post. I am currently at 18065. Just about to start my rubber banding session. I have a few nodes up around the 800-1100 mark but most still suck. I am finding this PVE to be very chinsy for rewarding points. Its hard to make any ground at all.

I'm sitting at 20455 in the unstable iso tournament right now. I don't think I found the right team or strategy to blow through this like the last PvE. It feels lime much more of a grind.

Anyone been able to get past that Daken/Bullseye Node?
Mine are all sitting at 160+, and all I've been able to do is get my characters downed. Have tried Tanks, Spidey, etc. Would seem Loki would be useful here, but mine is L15 and not very well covered.
Frustrating. Hopefully this means my scaling will be better for the next refresh.

I've had success going after the maggia guy first then bullseye then daken with obw, patch and 2* Thor. I do try to avoid matching purple and green so maybe I could sub patch out for someone else.

I hit it with OBW, and Patches. Lost OBW b4 hitting purple or blue power. I think I got one green the entire match, which is both good and very very bad, especially when patches is buffed. To make a long story short I finished the match with a total health of 17. We will chalk that one up to luck.

I echo you guys, finding this PVE really hard to find traction on. I got up to rank 4 at one point but the points do seem stingy and I have no idea how anyone is supposed to achieve the top end progression rewards. I am managing the scaling quite well though, my bullseye/daken node was around level 80 so quite manageable.

I'm at work with bad phone signal so I can't access all day.
At this event my team is mainly 60 OBW 85 **Thor and 80 CStorm. Generally goes well.
Now I'm 22968 at 38 in PVE... yesterday sometime I climbed to 7 in my band. I think that's the first time I climb so high. My scalling is around 120 so I lost a couple of times but I insist 'till my reserves last, i don't want to loose my position. I don't have Gold Cap so I can't play all matches.
I'm F2P on Android. In daily rewards I'm 162 I play since last october/november but I'm not sure... How's the thing with buying slots? I don't have gold or too much isos saldy. I try to play daily but I have a lot of work and 3 kids so sometimes it gets pretty hard to find free time I don't play too much PVP I try to do 3 or 4 matches for fun but I'm not too interested.
I play Avengers Alliance on FB too.

I would like to apologize in advance to my alliance, as I am not going to be available to play through the end of the best there is tourny. I will do my best to get a high rank before hand, but I don't think I will shield as my HP total is very low and I need to be very frugal with HP at this point in the game. If any of you think I should shield please reply to this post with that information, as I realize there are Lazy Cap covers at stake. The only good news here is that I will be attending the new Captain America movie during this time.

No worries quadiak. Although this is a fun game that consumes a lot of time, I would hope that we can still do "real life" stuff, and not feel like we are letting our alliance down. I'll be out swinging my golf clubs when this event finishes tonight too, and am currently only at around 400 points. We should still finish high enough to get some HP. I don't think I'll be shielding either - partially because my MMR is quite low and I probably won't get hit too much.

Now, if you had said you were off to cheer for the Oilers, then all bets are off.....

Haha. I gave up on the Oilers about 2 seasons after MacTavish was replaced as coach and nothing changed. As far as I'm concerned any franchise as poorly run as the Oilers doesn't deserve my support. I swear they are waiting for the second coming of gretzky. They certainly don't have a clue how important it is to have a a defense that can move the puck forward(even though the one time they tried it they made the stanley cup finals).

So I decided to shield the last three hours, 656 points in 11th place. I was getting hit consistently just trying to reach 700 and I wasn't sure if it would even hold on for top 50 so is spent 75 to gain 100. I finished top 25 and I see our alliance got top 250. Great job guys. Keep on slugging away.

BTW after watching the Captain America Winter Soldier tonight, I just might have a new favorite avenger hero. Great movie, Cap kicks a lot of butt in this one.

I shielded at 691 in Best There Is before going to bed and ended up top 25. I'm going to try to go all out in the next event. I need one more green Grey Suit Black Widow cover for five greens.

The Unstable Iso event is getting tougher and tougher with each node reset. Still plugging away at it.

I just can't understand the mentality of some people, or maybe I should say lack of.

I have a opponent named doublezero in my lazy cap pvp bracket and I am battling this guy back and forth, but here is the thing, he beats me for -2 then I beat him for 39, he retailiates for -7 and I take him for 37. Now he is back again, this time he got me for -9 and next match will give me 32. Is this opponent simply that dense? Or does the system maybe reward him more than it takes from me? I will likely battle one more match before passing him by because I know it starts to level out.

Personally I try to keep an eye on how much opponents take from me to help me decide whether it is worth returning fire. I want to see a 20 point spread to my benefit or I usually pass them by. As for selecting regular, non-retaliation matches the extra 30 iso/match can be nice but I will still usually pass by any matches which are less than 20 points up to the point where it starts costing iso anyway. How do you guys play these situations?

I also thought I would post some current PVE totals. As of 1:00am mountain time I am at 34685 third in my bracket, our alliance is at 18707, 436 position. Good luck guys keep on grinding as this is certainly a tough one.

It really is tough. I'm at around the 35k mark and was first in my bracket last time I grinded. I don't know what the devs were really thinking with this one, the progression rewards are laughable, and the points are so tight that it's really become more about alliance size for victory than anything else.

Also, people really are that dense. As the great george carlin once said, "think about how dumb the average person is, then realise that half of the population are dumber than that". I don't really care for the miniscule iso boost/loss, so I tend to skip battles until I find one worth at least 30 points. Not only does this mean less fights to get a higher score, but you're less likely to be retaliated against, and if you are you can usually fight back at a 'profit'.
