Just collecting ISO with the LRs and not really doing Heroic Juggs at the moment, it ends at 5am for me
If you see me in Divine Champions or any of the LRs, have at me. I'm sitting on around 200 points in Divine Champions but it's been quiet but LRs have been alright.
BOOM HEADSHOT me likey0 -
So looks the new PvE event starts tomorrow. It looks like its going to be a LOOOONG one too.
I think they said this event will have some alliance stuff in it, so curious to see what that is....
I think we'll do well, PvE seems to be fairly easy now they have tuned the scaling quite a bit, just remember to eat, sleep and all that good stuff and we'll be golden.
So don't stress over this event, just have fun.0 -
Especially if the reward is Lazy Cap... hopefully it's a brand new 3 that has well scaling abilities instead of just one, terribly expensive damaging ability + 2 other expensive things0
-
SO glad heroic Juggs over to get 2/3/3 L.Thor and now we get L.Capt. Awesome...
Hope it's really PVE alliance so there's a little more encouragement to play.0 -
Just heads up for those doing Divine Tourny. I am tanking it and am currently sitting at 250 points. If you see em feel free to attack.
God I hope my PVE MMR is still reasonable. I do not want to suffer another round of all 230s and this last week of events has been trickier than usual without Lazy Thor.0 -
Hey Gentlemen,
Just found our thread. MY IGN is Mad Thanos in the game and Im from PHX AZ. Great finish in the first alliance tourney.
Not to sure about this 9 day event for a lazy Cap but will will see. Any word on when our next alliance tourney will be?0 -

Tomorrow. The Lazy Cap event will have alliance rewards.0 -
Alright team! Lets win a Lazy Cap!
Alliance Prizes for Simulator:
Rank 1-2 Blue Lazy Cap, 5k Iso, 500 HP
Rank 3-10 Blue Lazy Cap, 2.5k Iso, 100 HP
Rank 11-25 Blue Lazy Cap, 2k Iso, 50 HP
No need to list any more because clearly we will make at least top 25 amirite!
Also as discussed on GD and learned from my own previous experiences with such a LONG event keep Spidey/Widow healing to a minimum otherwise by the end of the event you will be suffering major scaling. Based on the Juggernaut and initial fights it looks like my scaling is back under control so I will be able to grind and help.
Now to figure out who to use... With Hood buffed it might be time to level him past 50. He is 3/5/3 atm.
Options:
141 Punisher 3/5/5 (Even unbuffed he is higher level than buffed 85s)
85 (125) Ares 4/4/5
85 (125) Wolverine 5/4/4 (Maybe I will finally get a red one to respec him 5/5/3)
120 IM40 5/4/4
115 Spidey 3/4/5 (Even without healing his stuns could help)
105 Magneto 5/3/5 (Unbuffed but still OP)
50 (80) The Hood 3/5/3
50 (80) Daredevil 3/2/5
Round Specific:
104 (192!) Dr. Doom 5/5
80 (169) Psylocke 3/2/4
51 (141) Black Panther 3/3/3 (Thanks again team!)
6 (105) Lazy Thor 0/1/2
For the first round with Psylocke I am leaning towards Punisher, Psylocke, Hood.
Thoughts on using Hood versus Magneto? I have 7.8k Iso I can dump into someone.0 -
phew. got the 2500 iso before scaling went crazy. bedtime over here. gonna do more tmr.
just need to play sparingly and retreat/suicide before taking a break. it's annoying having to wait for timers if you don't heal.0 -
What's everyones plans for the new PvE? The first subs are 2.5 days long .. I think I'm going to wait until Sunday morning before I join in.
That should give me enough time to grind up points all day and still get some rubberband effect.0 -
I believe that scaling takes into account which roster you use during the event, I have been constantly using at least 1 star people and it has kept my opponents very manageable. Im already top 3 in the hard cat and all of my opponents have not gone above 55 level. Hope this works for everyone else.
Good hunting0 -
I might try a new approach in this PvE.. It may not work but I've always wondered. I just joined and finished the first event in each sub. Now, I'm going to wait. The nodes aren't near their full value yet. My thought is that if I wait, I can get more points through my first rotation through. I figured if I can get the 100% value on the first run, that will do better than if I can't wait for a reset on my 4th time through when the nodes are only worth 40% of their value. I'll let you know if this works, but I'm hoping it results in minimal grinding (relatively speaking) with maximum results.
As you pointed out Toxicadam that you are waiting before entering a sub. I'm hoping that this approach will outscore my subgroup as I'm assuming they're going ahead and completing the first pass while I'll wait and let the rubberbanding slingshot me past all of them. I'll let you know if it pans out that way. Also, if any of you have tried this, I'd like to know your feedback on how it works!0 -

I believe akboyce or LordWill had an issue with the last PvE and he actually wrote IceIX about it. His response said that the PvE scaling takes into account how damaged your roster is when finishing battles. Since he was healing and leaving most matches unscathed, his scaling got extremely difficult. I like you haven't experienced too crazy of PvE scaling. I've wondered if my tanking has something to do with it. When I tank for PvP, I'll go in with trash rosters and resign. It takes four surrenders to kill off the team, so I'll go through 2 or 3 lineups of tanking before I start a PvP event. I wonder if this goes into the system as my team getting crushed and intern effectively tanks for PvE. I have no way to confirm, but it's an interesting thought.0 -
This is from IceIX from General Discussion:
'The game doesn't do scaling like that. When you win, it doesn't look at which characters were used or what levels those characters were. It sees that you won, looks at the performance in the match itself, and scales accordingly while passing some of that info over to the community scaling portion. A level 105 Thor most definitely enables lower tiered players to compete in this PVE Event though as scaling was tuned down to a larger extent in order to dial things in better. What that means though is that they don't hit scaling as much as someone with a fully built out roster since as you say, they're doing most of their damage through matches as opposed to abilities and the like from a team of 85s or so. As a result, the newbie tends to have worse performance match per match and won't scale as quickly/as hard as someone that's been playing for longer. They'll still start running into matches where match threes aren't that great to win with, like Imposter or Guilty By Association in this round.'0 -
I'm not sure if there is a lot of benefit waiting to get into PvE events. For me, I just like to play so I join and play and not worry too much about it.
I'm finding the more I over think things, the worse I do. So I just roll with it. Besides I want to get as many points as I can in case I miss a node or something, it doesn't cripple me later on. They have said that even with rubberbanding, if the leader stays on top of it, you will never catch them if you wait too long because once you hit that 10x multiplier, you can't catch up.
Also it looks like we get alliance rewards per sub event too, so could be a nice iso boost if we do well.
That being said, play how you want and do what you think is right for you. I'm not super crazy about lazy cap but IceIX has said he is pretty beasty when fully leveled. I have so many other characters to level up, this one isn't going to be leveled anytime soon. I still want him, of course.
I'm loving all the iso though, been badly needed.
It will be interesting how this event pans out for us.0 -
Don't see why we can't hit top 10.
Personally I haven't seen much diff starting late or early in terms of placing. Playing the final 2 hours is critical.0 -
I agree. Its so early in the tourney.0
-
Because of the time difference for me, I joined the event....about 6 hours in and had what looks like max rubberbanding. One of the required fights with Psylocke was worth 3k points
In terms of a team, buffed Psylocke is pretty damn good (L64, 3/4/4), been running her with OBW (L85 3/5/5) and Hood (L120 5/5/2) and it's been pretty good so far. Keep raking the AP in and with Psylocke's cheap red and black, the damage adds up.
Of course, my fights were still with low level goons so will probably have to change that team once scaling kicks in.
Interesting note about the healing affecting your scaling, I might have to stop using OBW to heal at the end everytime.
Anyhoo, sitting at #2 on my main bracket with 21k points. I'm not too excited about LazyCap but will still contribute to our alliance rank, and hey, free covers are free covers.0 -
I'm currently 3rd in my main with 27K pts, some opponents in hard mode already at lv130+. I think I'll see lv230s in 2 to 3 days time, sigh.0
