For 230 Hulk, a strategy that might help some people.

Using Punisher, OBW and another damage dealer (Ares, C Mag, Thor). Anger won't trigger unless you hit him for 900+ so try to restrain yourself with strike tiles. Keep attacking and denying green/red until you're ready to unleash all your big damage abilities.

You only need to bring him down to 7200/5400 (40%/30% Retribution) so when youre getting closer to that, use Onslaught/Sunder/Mag Translocation.
Use Retribution and he's down. You'll probably have to deal with only maybe 1 or 2 turns of green cascades this way.
  • I already joined one sub and played it a bunch before scaling came in. Not sure whether to join sub 2, if I play it now, my 8 hour refresh is close to when I tend to sleep.

Even a weak Spiderman can easily lock down The Hulk in the solo fight though, which is why he has a ridiculously high base level.
OBW works as well. Even though it's once again an event where you may need a Spidey with 5 blue in the long run. It's becoming quite old..

Wolverine 2* carried my team back then, but that was when you had triple boosts on every fight and Wolverine was popping out 150 damage strike tiles, so it'd be interesting to see how this event works out now.

I'm so glad that the levels are normal again, only one Hulk at 220 and another at 205, I was worried about lvl 230 Ares, Moonie, Ragnarok, Daken, Bullseye (especially the last two, SO annoying), etc. Now I got my standard token fix (nothing spectacular, but I got the 25 HP reward for the first time) and can leave the ISO farming for tomorrow.
Hope everyone enjoys this event except jozier and AsianInvasion lol.

Before the difficulty ramp up I was thinking "hey, this will be cool. I'll hardly need Spider-Man at all!" finished a match and moved on to the Nevada Hulk fight. BOOM! 230.
I walked away for awhile and now he's down to 200.

Yeah I remember I was building my 2* roster when it first came out and Wolverine became my first lvl 85 champ.
He really carried me through that!

I apologize if this has been stated earlier in the thread and I've missed it but does anyone know how many reps it is per node this time round?
    Is it still 5?

For the solo hulk, use Venom + Spiderman. Stun and devour.

Using Patch, Punisher and OBW for Hulk and it's working out quite nicely.
Deny, heal, steal AP and whittle down Hulk until you can fire of the nuke skills.

^ not all of the players have a developed blue spidey. for them, careful nipping is the only way. and then punisher or adamantium slash or something.

edit: actually pretty sure cStorm + MagnetoMN can do the job, if you get lucky. With Punisher + mStorm + oBW there's literally no way you could lose, except that the fight would be 100500 minutes long and you need to be extra careful so as not to trigger any cascades on mStorm. She can help with stunning from Cold Snap.
  • Levels finally dropped from 230 to the 60-70 range.

I'm guessing what happened was that everyone starting doing missions right away, and since there was community scaling, all that data overloaded their servers. Once the servers caught up, and the scaling algorithm saw everyone doing the missions non-stop at the beginning, it scaled everything to 230. Now that people aren't doing the missions, the scaling is starting to fall back down to what it should be.

Thank you! Lets see what we can do to help those people without 5B Spidey or maxed chars who still have to face the 230(ish as mine is 220) Hulk, etc.

Yep. That was my thought as well. I on the other hand am guaranteed to face 230s throughout. Not that that's a problem.

Maybe their magical fairy died and we just have to clap harder to bring her back. Let's stop making up stuff about what these people are doing and/or thinking. We do not know and they do not care.

The scaling just went full ****... SIGH

230 Hulk... yeah, this is gonna be fun.

    Exactly.

    So dumb.

The hulk I face has like 16000 hp. Got him down to 230 and he went on like a 5 minute cascade to wipe out my whole team.

    Screw this.

Another 3 tries. I have 12 covers down. What is fun about this?

I was really lucky with that fight. He knocked Thor and C.Storm down to about 300 health each while he had about 4000, but that triggered Storm's retalliation ability to knock him down to about 2300. I had a last ditch attempt to use Storm's green to get the last 2 blues I needed and I got them. Stunned him, made a quick yellow match and finished him off with Thor's green. Freakin close.

For 230 hulk just add modern widow to your team.

^ I'm too poor to afford a roster slot for mBW, and many midlevelers are too icon_e_biggrin.gif

sheesh, I regret spending some of my boosts on lvl 230 Ares and co., if I had reset the game earlier, could have saved my goodies.

    2.1 Billion players...
My how MPQ has grown in 3 months.
  • *sigh* not looking forward to the refresh in 8 hours, that'll be late. Oh well, I'll only do a couple missions. It's a long event so I can catch up.

I do like the change they finally made in simulator where the point value updates after each battle instead of requiring a new fight or a client reset.
