jozier wrote:*sigh* not looking forward to the refresh in 8 hours, that'll be late. Oh well, I'll only do a couple missions. It's a long event so I can catch up.
I do like the change they finally made in simulator where the point value updates after each battle instead of requiring a new fight or a client reset.
There's an extra stack since last time so you might be able to just deplete the BP stack and save the Pun or something0 -

Yeah I already ground down that sub when it first started and the levels were at 14. Rubberband has boosted the points a bit but I'm at stack 3-4 on most of the missions. That one will reset for me at about 9-10 EST. The other sub resets fully at 11:37 EST (I'm not playing it further until it resets).0 -
The levels I see are 85-105 with the exception of Hulk who sits at 230. I 'll just do what I did last time and go for a 1 pass strategy since it will be too costly to do these subs 3 times and I would hate for the game to think I'm too good and make everyone 230. Hopefully rubberbanding will help, but even if it doesn't, I'm in this mostly for the tokens from the subs.0

Can someone tell me if this is an 8 hour reset from the start the event or after you finish your last node?0
-
In every event mate it's always been from when you finish the last node. No reason for that to change surely.0
-
I thought each battle was independent? IE If you finish Punisher battle 1 at 1pm and Punisher battle 2 at 115pm and Black Panther battle 1 at 130 PM, those three battles will refresh at 9pm, 915pm, and 930pm respectively. Am I wrong?0

So the first mission to start the whole event is listed as "Deadly" for me (enemy level = 171). So I assume that means community scaling is in full effect.
Do I even want to bother trying today? It sounds like it's turned into a grindfest already. I could just join on the last day and finish much higher with much less effort.0 -
Poor scaling, rubberbanding benefiting those that join late, lackluster rewards from the overall...
Yeah, i'll be taking it easy on this one. Oh well - those overall progression rewards are pretty nice though. Could use another red and green Punisher0 -

Same here
Will they go down again? O.o
Btw, when does the first subquest end?0 -

Same boat as you and I'm wondering what I ought to do.
I managed to finish the first node to unlock and lost one of my characters.
Tried one of the other nodes to simply clear it and the guys with the flamethrowers went batshit insane on me (somehow, with a board of less than 10 green scattered/unmatchable tiles at any given time, they were able to collect 30+ greens and unleash flanethrower repeatedly.
I did okay in the previous event; scaling was overall okay-ish but even the basic nodes are all Deadly and yeap, I lost a few people.
What is the strategy in this case?0 -

Is it desert? Modern Storm's red ->> oasis will floods the board with greens to let you match away the green countdowns, then use her green to get rid of the rest0 -
So no more 500 hp rewards? Iso creepin ma ballz off here.
Seriously, looking at the rewards all I want from this are iso. I have green xforce, lazy thor (that is what I shall call the gold foil version henceforth) doesn't really appeal to me (not to say he will be bad, he will be a top 5 character right off the bat if just for his hp and green damage)...or at least I don't mind missing a color as he will be in later events over time, and all I can get from tokens is the 2 black hulls I have been needing.
It's not bracketed, so there is no reason to NOT compete today. I am going to take this event pretty easy though.0 -

OBW and Magneto are great for fighting goons. Anti Gravity ups the countdown tiles and Mags can overwrite them with his Magnetic Shield. You can also spam his red to shake up the board to help clear the countdowns.0 -

One strategy is to analyze each individual node and use appropriate counters. For example Storm on Desert, OBW vs mobs, Stunners vs Hulk. Ideally, the Devs want PvE to force you to diversify your roster (this worked relatively well during Simulator). But when everything gets to 230, even with the best counter it boils down to rng luck.0 -

Think I'm going to try semi-hard to win the subs in this event, as I really want some more BP covers. Don't care about the x-force green as I have 5 already, so I can coast my way to the 3 Thor covers.0 -
What the hell is going on in the hulk event?
12:30pm est - I did half of the HULK-Nevada and Canada missions against low level villains and bad guys
5:30pm est. - now, 5 hours later, I'm seeing with level 100+ bad guys??
Missions that I saw earlier jumped up 100 levels.0 -
Thanks much for the advice!
If I don't have built out versions of those characters but have built out versions of their other selves (MBW vs OBW and MStorm vs CStorm for example), will that still be effective?0
