The Ragnarok - Sniper team up is stupid. Who designs this ****? You're just stuck in an endless Godlike Power cascade loop. Goons that feed villain powers are ridiculous.

I am so glad it wasn't just me being a complete idiot. And yeah, it was the Rags-2xSniper team-up. I thought it was the other one because I never cleared the Rags-Sniper one. So many miniature felines were created last night.

This is clearly cheating. It is very unfair.

Imagine this stage the first time around fighting with a pre-nerfed Ragnarok !!!
Pretty sure people cleared it just fine, with how high it scaled.
Altho that just speaks more about how broken stun is in this game.
I remember doing groups of 230 villans with spiderman and a lvl 1 venom ( at that time hulk the required charc was just lvl 15).
Ah +3all boosts spammage, good times.

During the pre nerf Ragnarok days there was no scaling. Ragnarok is simply level 230 and a lot of people can't beat him.

But back then you also have cheap +AP all boosts. Wolverine was boosted and basically starts the fight with 4X150 damage strike tiles, which makes Ragnarok more manageable. Still, a lot of the time the match ended the turn he made a red match.

Something weird happened in my main Hulk event screen.

The only two nodes that are visible are "Osborne's New Scheme" and "A New Ally". "A New Ally" looks playable but when you try, game says that it cannot connect to the server.

Bolivia & Nevada nodes have disappeared from the main screen but the subevents are still listed on the "Featured" page.

Anyone else have something similar? (I'm playing on iOS, btw.)

    Ha! This.
    Infuriates me.

This is getting freaking ridiculous, I just got destroyed by a lvl 167 jugs w/ snipers, he hits me with unstoppable crash after every turn.
How the hell do you guys defeat this combo, even with my 70 spidey I couldn't do ****,

I feel you guys! I did this fight with maxed Thor & OBW, and a lvl 80 Hulk. By the end my Hulk was the only one left standing and I barely won thanks to his black power generating some much-needed green for me at the last second. Rough fight.
  • I did it with Spidey/IM40/Patch and +3 blue boost (+3 yellow probably would have helped too, but I forgot). MMN in place of Spidey would probably work too, and you can swap Patch out for just about anyone, as he's there just to make sure your phone doesn't run out of battery before the match is over.

I think I failed with this combo at least once, so it's by no means a sure thing, but having a cheap blue battery for Spider Man is pretty important, in case the board doesn't cooperate.

I used the mStorm / Thor infinite loop combo with OBW on the side for occasional assistance. First time I've run it and boy was it cheesy - but effective.
  • #44 at 230661 with an eight hour recharge set to finish about 90 minutes before the subs close.

I am going to wait until then to open my standard and heroic tokens earned during the LR. Like buying a box of trading cards and opening all of the packs on the ride home.
  • Thanks to all who opend my eyes to Thor/storm*/obw combo. I dumped ISO into Thor to get him up to 40ish and with the buff it makes things doable. I hate the long games it makes but at least I got some points out of it
I'm 5500 away from red punisher so hopefully I can manage that in 8 hours after refresh and tomorrow.

It's certainly as cheesy as a stunlock, but it's what makes the higher difficulties manageable (trivial). I will be sad once the desert ends, b/c I believe after this we're done with subs. I think the last day's events all take place on the main map and I seem to recall that they were all city/lab environs. My memory is failing me though. Stupid tiredness. I need to play less MPQ.
  • What happens at the end of this event when we meet the goal (or did we already reach it)?

Everyone gets a free, max-lvl 5/3/5 Hulk, right?
  • Opened one of the standard tokens I got from my one clear of the subs this morning - yellow Spidey. RNG has been kind to me lately. Though I'll probably be selling it for ISO.

Yes, but no red Hulk. Hulk's red cover is just a myth.

Man, Hidden Stash Nevada Node: lvl175 Moonstone, Ragnarok and Juggernaut.
My best team? lvl 80 O. Black Widow, 85 Classic Storm and 85 MN Magneto...
    Seems fair...

Can anyone tell me what factors--if any--influence when PVE boards recharge? If I'm trying to max out points from an event like the Hulk is there an optimum way to do this?

For example, does the point value (and difficulty level) spike X hours after I play the board the first time? Or does it jump up at a certain time whether I've played the board 10 times or not at all?

I think the issue is that while you are probably collecting purple/blue, it is collecting red/green. Do you have any viable characters that use red/green for their abilities? You need to deny those colors from that team.

The board surprisingly lacked red and green, forcing them to match blue and purple and me to steal some with OBW.
Polariy with MN Mag and couple of blue power whatever is called with CStorm to stop Juggernaut and Ragnarok and by then Moon was already dead.
But it could easily go the other way. 6 red ap on their part and im done.

The points refresh 8 hours after you complete a mission stack.

Each node has about 5-6 stacks (I can never remember exactly).

Illustrative example - let's say that the top value is 1000:

    1000
    800
    600
    400
    200
    1

If you do fight at the following times: 8 AM, 830 AM 915 AM, 945 AM, 10 AM, the following occurs:

4 PM: Stack resets to 200
430 PM: Stack resets to 400
515 PM: Stack resets to 600
545 PM: Stack resets to 800
6 PM: Stack resets to 1000.

For a more extreme example: Let's say you fought two battles, one at 8 AM and one at 12 PM:

At 4 PM stack would reset to 800. But it would take until 8 PM for the stack to reset to 1000.

For maximum value, only attempt a stack again 8 hours after you last cleared it, to ensure that it returns to its maximum point value.

Thanks for the information! Sounds like if I'm trying to maximize points I should play a specific level to completion--down to one point or however low I'm willing to go--before moving onto the next one.
