76th,doesnt look good to stay in top 200. These matches are prohibitively hard. I can get some done but it's going to be very costly.

And the game has taken on the mind frame to screw me. The last five matches I have attempted the computer gets an insane cascade and instantly one shots one of my characters within the first several turns.

Thanks for that so I got just over 30K points in hand. Should be able to to hit the nodes once for first time bonus and maybe do the big value ones twice if needed and stay well within the top 200.

I don't know what goes on in those cases if it's just bad luck or the game has decided you've won too many times in a row but, last night and this morning I've watched as a miracle cascade basically 1 shot Punisher who's got near 6k HP buffed on turn 2 like 5 or 6 times. How is this supposed to be even remotely fun? My favorite was that horrible fight where Rag had the 2 snipers feeding him green. I made 2 matches. Ragnarok gets off his Godlike Power move... creates a huge cascade Punisher dead. Ok, I'm thinking that can't happen again can it. 2 more times in a row within the first 3 turns one of my characters was dead from that exact scenario playing out. After that I just shut the game off and said this is obviously not my night. Now it's continued on this morning... yay!?!??
  • Couldn't play yesterday so finished terribly in the subs. Managed to pull a blue IW with my heroic though! I needed that cover.

Anyone knows what points place 6000 needs atm? o.o

Im wondering if I even have chance to push for one single thor cover or if the subs dont give enough points anyway ^^

I use 2x +R/Y AP and make 1 Red match on my first turn. Optimally, they never get a second turn, though usually it's turn 3 or 4 before I can consistently go infinite. Modern Storm + Thor isn't the most exciting match to play, but it makes Nevada (and Sahara) entirely trivial. Admittedly, Punisher is my third as well, and I have had to sac him once or twice to ensure the survival of the other two. But he's only around for his black anyway (a little AOE boost with black).

Looks like they've disabled tanking for the last subs?
I can't lower levels at all.

IceIX said they've dampened the effectiveness of PvE tanking in general, but I think in this case it's probably just the effect of the community scaling counteracting your efforts. Everyone that played the last Hulk knows that the last day will probably be static one-and-done nodes like before, making these subs the last chance to make up ground. That means people are hitting them hard, doing as many refreshes as they can, and probably using boosts to up their win rate. That will keep the levels high for everyone through the end, I'm sure.
  • Managed to shake the cascade curse, got some matches done. 55th. 50 is 227.5k.

Just in a holding pattern, hopefully the event proceeds as indicated previously and ends with the 6 nodes on the main map as I've been told. And I hope they can only be completed once and are at max banding so I can wash my hands of this.

If I wasn't in the green for prizes I'd quit the event, matches too hard too often. Not fun.

I'm just playing once for each refresh... taking too much time.

BTW... has most people stopped playing for top 200 or are they just gonna make a push on the last day?

I only fell 20ish places overnight from 5x to 75, back up to 55 as indicated . But I believe the bulk of the tight 200 pack is at the 150 range so letting up would be suicide. Should clear 3 Thors easily.

    Anyone in the #1000 rank?

Fights are more difficult now, I had to use Spidey with Magneto MN yersterday for the first time in the event :S. But right now I am #49 with 227k points so I think I have finally secured my three Thor covers. I will play a little bit more before the end of this sub-event and I will probably secure the XWolvie cover too.
  • Level 230 Daken is ridiculous especially when paired with Rag/Ares/Jugg. Currently top 15 but slowing down because I don't want to use a bunch of ISO on boosts just to beat these nodes.

Level 230 Daken needs to be nerfed!!!! lol.

I'm with you 100% on this. There was a brief moment, mid event, when I actually cracked the top 10. I'm now about to slip out of the top 200, and we'll have to see how my afternoon and evening shape up, but I may be past caring. If the game were to tell me, "Hey, your 3 Goldilocks covers are guaranteed," I might stop playing the event altogether.

The top end seems to have slowed down I had to do a lot less nodes at non optimal times -
Not getting up at 2/3 am to do the nodes at the end of the subs - i.e. I finish 3 or 4 hours before the subs end and it will be 5 hours tonight. I have still been able to hop into the top ten by playing for an hour in the morning doing 7 nodes before work - the 1000 node twice 500 node once in main and the Black Panther nodes twice in the subs. Since I am not doing them at the end of the subs there is no hope of a top 4 placement so make little odds if I am 5th or 99th. just tring to do the minimum amount of nodes now to maintain a top 200 spot.
  • I think a lot of people have slowed down now. Over the past few nights I would go to bed around 6-700th place, and wake up outside the top 1000. Last night I went to bed around 750th, and woke up 850th or so. Hopefully that bodes well for holding on to a top 1000 place. I've been there all event long except when asleep, I'd hate to miss out on all 3 Thor covers now.

There is a slowdown but the table is very dense there. Lately I barely play, overnight dropped 800->1200 and got back with just 2 BP plays (~3000 pts). As anyone can do it, the position is shaky.

I hope they take note of the number of comments about how long these events tend to drag on and how at about the 3 days left go mark when the fights all hit their max level everyone is just kind of punching in for work, putting in their minimum amount of effort and looking forward to the end. The last three days I've done nothing but clear each node 1 time per sub twice and that's it and I've been hovering around 300. I think that's a pretty good indication at how little grinding everyone is actually doing. They need to either make the PvE events shorter or figure out a way to make the missions feel like less of a chore once they hit the 230 mark. I personally would prefer everything hit a max of like 150 for the most part. In that range you feel like you've got to pay attention and be careful but a miracle cascade by the AI or an attack from Moonstone/Jugg/Ares/Venom isn't going to completely one shot you. I'm not saying they need to do away with these harder fights altogether I'm just suggesting their needs to be far fewer of them. Maybe their special nodes that require the featured character could give the most points and hit those levels where the rest of the map hits a lower ceiling. Then people could at least grind the lower point nodes for the rewards and a decent amount of points without it taking forever or costing you a ton of iso in boosts or having to use up all your health packs etc. While you've got a few of these "boss" levels on a map to beat us all up and take our lunch money so to speak.

    This!!!!!
Do you remember which one were those static ones? I remember barely making it in the top 300 due to that on the 1st Hulk event, I was around 100 and hit the last ones too early not knowing they were static ones, I watched my ranking dropped all day long in agony, unable to do a thing about it, lucky me I finished around the 280's and got my 1st xforce wolvie from it.

I don't have that much time to grind these past days so i'm always around the 1100's , push a little to the 800's but by the next morning i'm already out of the top 1000's again, I need to hit the last missions at the last moment so I can get the most points possible and luckily get in the top 1k
