On an unrelated topic: come on CareBears! I know it's the off-season, but I can't be the only one who badly wants Laken covers (those luscious abs…). In fact I know he is under covered for many. Can't we push just a little bit? A tiny little bit?

I'll see what I can do. Some commander dared me to get up to 1000 points, and being from the South, we take our dares very seriously.

P.S. I'm not from the South.
  • I got lucky with tokens so my Laken is fully covered, but I'll put up as many points as I can tonight
  • Would have posted sooner, but work, home run derby, and all star game (not necessarily in that order of importance) distracted me.

Congrats to everyone on our best season finish yet! Amazing! icon_e_biggrin.gif

My season 10 pack was nothing but 2500 ISO. I pulled SIX straight Hawkeye's - SIX. Disappointing. But yellow fury cover - I finally know what it does! (And it's pretty interesting, could end up being his best power IMO).

Berk/Milkrain and User311 sorry to see you guys go. Have fun hibernating. I understand your sentiments about the game, and I share them. That's why once The Hunt is over I'll be stepping away from the game as well. I've had a great time being a part of CBS and highly doubt I would have kept playing the game this long, through all of the stealth changes, nerfs, and server outages, if it weren't for you guys. Thanks for all fun times and hard fought victories. Luck in battle.

    STARE!

Maybe you're from the south side of your city?

@AgCenturion - Are you quitting "cold-turkey" or just cutting back significantly?

So I propose that if anyone in CBS wants to visit the BearCave for a single event then simply PM DD/Kamu/Tonzil and me on the forum or in your CBS chat and I think it'll be easy enough to swap players.

How does that sound CBS commanders?

If I see anyone I recognise from CBS requesting entry to CareBearCave then I just accept them straight away. As long as we communicate our intentions to DD/Kamu/Tonzil then I don't imagine we'll have any problems.

So ... R U you going back for that 20th spot and the Laken cover? Ive been sporatically doing Hunt nodes for a few ISO. Im in 6th in my PVP. With some luck, I will be able to sneak into 5th place. Thats pretty much going to be it for me for a while though.

I was going to suggest that but in-game it says CBS is 20/20, so all is good.

If there was a scenario whereby DD didn't find any good candidates to fill the last spot then us cave bears would surely step in for an event.

I find myself willing to spend a lot more HP to shield hop from 800pts already as opposed to previously when I'd only shield hop once I was over 900pts.

I AM from the south side... well, near south side (no longer though, I am a suburbanite now). The North/South ball clubs in the city, however, are pretty divisive. I can't mention either team without getting this post downvoted to oblivion.

Your proposal sounds fine, though we may not have the organizational kung-fu of the X-Men or 5DV or another conglomerate alliance... as long as you have some space available.

This PVP isn't for the season, but it's gonna be a character builder kind of event. Some of the scores are pretty low. I hate to have hibernating bears score so much better than "active" bears. We'll see how the chips fall.

Yeah, the Stare is full now, but I'm keeping the thread title open for AgCenturion's imminent departure icon_cry.gif
We transitioned a lot of good bears after season 3, so we'll need to keep the recruitment strong! I possibly need to re-work our recruitment statement. I think we still have a PR problem. Are we not awesome enough for the mightiest of potential bears? Are we TOO awesome? Do we intimidate? Bears, chime in! How do we define ourselves?
  • @DD - are you shielded in Heavy Metal - I need to hit you. I'm on track to make a strong showing in this PvP, ironically enough seeing as I left CBS in order to "take it easy" icon_razz.gif

    Hit me!

edit: 39 points. Nice job. Hope I didn't take too much health.

Quitting cold-turkey. Only way to do it for me. If I try to just cut back I'll inevitably end up grinding some event down the road because I'm interested in the shiny new prize, then another, then another, until I'm right back at playing every event for top prizes. As frustrating as the game can be, it's super addictive. Or maybe I'm too competitive for my own good sometimes. Probably a mixture of both...

Come park yourself in the CareBearCave anyway. That way you'll accumulate some ISO.

Hey everybody. Just joined yesterday, thanks for the opportunity to join. I hope to do well alongside everyone.

So, in a getting to know you guys, fashion... I'll tell you a little bit about myself.

I am 32, live in Iowa, and work as a Server and Automation Engineer in the IT department for a large company. I have a beautiful wife and an adorable 18 month-old son. I am a big fan of Marvel Comics, MLP (yes, I'm a brony), Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons (Pathfinder is best). I have been playing this game for about a month and a half, and am looking forward to competing in a strong capacity towards greater prizes for us all.

Heavy Metal - Doodily Ding Dong Tick Tock
This is what you'd call, a "Purinxa-style finish". We squeaked out rank 95... it was a ugly one, but Centurion in his victory lap helped us drag out a ranking. We saw some pretty insane pushes at the end, and our new guys (Crypto and Enoc) came in solid. We had some serious lag toward the bottom, and we, as always, will be examining.

    Still top100, yo! Stare on!

It was no problem. Even IM40 with high life points isn't too dangerous if you deny him his colours.

    Welcome to Enoc!
You won't be seeing me in chat because I left recently but I'm still active and running the Cave for retired bears CareBearCave.

Lots of new crazyness going on. Fresh new PvP and some nerfs coming in to the Daken family. I'm glad Dakens are seeing a nerf even though they didn't need it that much. I wish the heat damage would be more severe so you could actually deal damage to daken by removing blue.

This Balance of Power PvP is crazy and sadly I don't have any of the insanely scaled 1* like Juggernaut. I tried IM35 cause I thought the defence tiles would be more significant but they scaled very poorly. Only 69pts per defense tile. The storms do well and BP Rage of Panther is still beastly.

I had some fun with M.Storm/BP/Falcon.

I'll swing by The Cave some time after The Hunt. You guys can get the benefit of what little points I got in balance of power earlier while I was playing around. (Using OP Juggy instead of being manhandled by him is kind of fun, lol).

#4. Finished my Lazy Daken. And my 5/5/3 just became the clear choice.
