    4 star champing phase is much more fun than 3 star imo. I never noticed a QoL improvement when going through 3s, but 4s are a different matter altogether. Even a middling character like Invisible Woman and Fury are super awesome when champed and boosted.

    Though the iso sink is way too much imo. 250,000 iso feels like a better amount than nearly 400,000.

    My progress since I'm here. Nearly day 600.

    14 champed 4s. Working on champing Jean and then Big Pun currently. Really hoping that I get lucky with Medusa and Carol covers in the future and finishing off my 11 cover peggy.

    Would like to gain the last 3 Thano3 covers that I need. He is just taking forever to finish off.

    Otherwise hoping for 5 star with every LT pull and adding releases whenever they are released.

    March offseason update!

    This season: finally champed Peggy (my last top-tier 4*) just in time to decimate Gauntlet. I also champed 3* Thanos (my last 3) and caught up on my 2* farm, and now have 800k ISO in the till. So it was a good catch-up season.

    The bigger headline, however, was pulling 3 Black Bolt covers, bringing him to 3/4/5. Which leads to the question: how high can I level him without hurting my scaling? All my champed 4*s are sitting in the 270-290 range, BB is still at 255, and I have no other well-covered 5*s, so I'm paranoid of overleveling a single 5* and wrecking my scaling and PvP MMR.

    On the 4* front, I have a bunch of Bl4de and Gwenpool covers clogging up my queue, but I'm not sure I want to champ either (at least not yet). I have C4rol set as my current bonus 4*, and am eyeing Mordo next, so that's probably who I'll be focusing on this season.

    First season without numbers following it - first season in Pax and not in Wrecking Crew (had been there every season since season 2). Did champ Gwen and Falcap, was holding covers end of last season. Also champed Peggy and Ant-Man: this really burned the farm, holding Punisher and SL covers to max/champ but may miss out on both.

Only Wasp, War Machine, and Luke Cage remain that could get that high; Kate, Gwenpool, Medusa, and Venom cannot (which means I'll be losing some upcoming DDQ's....) Duck moved from max possible 168 to max possible 229. 8 at 172 (-3), 7 there with 13 covers (War Machine/PX/Drax/IW/GR/Wasp/MRF...about the order I'd max them in); Blade with 12 covers. Venom, Medusa, Gwenpool could get to around 172. 3@ 300+ (+1), 5@ 290+ (+1), 14@ 280+ (+3).

    Hoarded CP while "only Kate could hurt me"...then drew Kate out of latest, so pulled CP. Will probably hoard again since from Kate champ came 13th War Machine - will max him next and need one more cover of Blade for 13, would be next up.

    Last season:

    WELL - getting 31 champed 4*'s removed suddenly from packs, along with a week-long gauntlet for no ISO will certainly hamper your progress, right? Started hoarding as of previous post here, unloaded at end of season for latest 5* and it worked. 4*'s ignored as OML taken from 300 to 405 in preparation for going to 420 next season (daily drop). Then dropped all the rest of the ISO earned this season into Dr. Strange, 355->450 after a wave of covers.

    3* changes: Old 40: 1 @ 200-209 (-1, only QS), 4 @ 211-220 (-1), 15@ 221-230 (-2), 10@ 231-240 (-3) 10@241-250 (+7)

    4* changes: Mordo/Colston rostered. 31 champed (no change). 11 at 172 (+3 Medusa, Gwenpool, Venom) - now a good spot for the daily 4* use. Captain Marvel could get there.

    Vaulted 4* status: Champed Kate/MK to leave. Champed Peggy/SW/Cage next to leave (Wasp not champed). 13 covers on all but Medusa (need one), Riri, Capt Marvel, and new two.

    5* changes: No added covers in classics. 5/1/1 Widow (+1 when in latest), 3/5/5 Strange (+5! After +2 last season!), 3/2/1 Thanos (+5!), 0/0/3 BP (+3). Moved OML to 405 (from 300), moved Strange to 450 (from 255).

    Next season:
    ....I have no idea. The vaults were TERRIBLE for a vet roster like mine. The reason I was ABLE to speed into 5*'s this season was due to the number of LT's I was pulling from 3*'s and 4*'s.....that number was just circumcised. Zero iso....I'm (already) wasting Wasp/Blade/Venom covers - and soon Medusa. Probably better to waste as few Blade/Medusa/Marvel covers as possible, so I guess I prioritize them.

    Last season plan of maxing War Machine and Drax (as upcoming daily drops, to not waste their covers) seems pointless now. I guess other older 4*'s with 13 covers (War Machine/PX/Drax/IW/GR/Wasp/MRF) linger in obscurity forever, forgotten about and uncared for.

    Granted, I was gone for a long time, too, but I guess that was needed because I kind of burned out at the time I left.

    At this point, I'm just collecting covers, still, and all 3* covers because that's where I left off.

    I don't have any 3* characters fully covered, but I guess that leaves me with plenty to do?

    Right now, I'm trying to figure out how best to earn said covers and how much of this game has changed since I've been gone.

    -Last update (Update since last update)
    -Been playing a lot less PVE, has slowed down ISO intake, but RL takes precedence, and I'm ok with progression being made. (Had some time, so actually finished T2 for Coulson. Try to get green checks now.)
    -2* Start dupe once Champ hits 134. 6th cover in any color gets put to the Champ, and once the dupe hits 13 covers, subsequent covers go to maxing Champ.
    -3* Probably going to level all my 3* dupes for the LL LTs. Probably just start with my 5 3* dupes at 120, and way down the road, sprinkle in some of the 15 3* dupes/triples I have at 40. 2 3DP black since last update so 5/5/2, Strang3 is at 2/5/5 and may buy the 3rd blue with CP, to use the yellow cover I have. (Champed all 5 3* dupes I had at 120. Champed Strang3 and started dupe. Did not buy any covers with CP.)
    -4* Decided to stop selling 4* covers I can't use, due to slow pace of championing 4*. Now going into the Trips/Quads era, instead of the Dupes/Trips era I was in. I've got plenty of 13 cover 4* dupes, so I was selling excess 4* covers. If the 4* is one that is low on the priority list to champion, I'll start a trip/quad, so that I'm not selling the covers. Championing priorities might now be based on who I don't want to start a quad for. (LT updates put an end to the short lived Trips era. I did hate-champ Sam Wilson and The Thing because I got a 6th color on my triples.)
    -5* 10 covers and 405 is going to be my cap for 5*. Do not want to mess up my MMR or make PVE scaling any worse.

    I´ve completed my farm. Besides of Cap Marvel (13 covers), Hawkeye (12), Moonstone (9), Bag-Man (2 - I finally got a few cover for him) and OBW (3 - I´m recycling her now), every 2* character is championed.

    Future plans:
    Champion Red Hulk. Since I´ve numerous enticing 4* characters at 12 covers, I decided to stockpile my LT (10 + 3 HttK token right now) and CP (525) in order to avoid wasting covers.

    My farm is doing well. Every character is championed apart of Storm (10 covers).


    Plans for the next season:
    Champion Gwenpool (I´ve five covers for her in my queue). Due to the introduction of bonus heroes I´ve decided to change my strategy of championing 4*. Now I´ll champion the high tier characters which are currently available in the legendary store (Medusa, Blade and Captain Marvel in the long term). My hoard of LTs goes on (currently 31). Since I had to to buy the final covers for Nova and Red Hulk my amount of CP has dropped down to 385. I´ll start to stockpile them again.

    All championed. Despite having no 2* feeder, Rocket & Groot are holding off the pack and are highest levelled at 236. 23 have made it over the half way point. 40 at 200 or above, Strange and Thanos are both below 183 and favourited to try and help them catch up.

    9 5* covers this season surprisingly, the Phoenix one from shield supply. Still no rush to break into 5-land or any desire to push through with brute force, so I'm happy with them slowly ticking up for now.

    That being said, the vaulting of 4*s changes things dramatically, and I'm in a bit of a quandary of where to go next. I was just spending Cp/LT as they came in, but now, acht, I know what I should do, but I'm really dislike hoarding. If I keep opening them as they come, I'm going to quickly hit a super massive iso black hole, and I'll waste a ton of covers. I have a couple of 2*s in the farm needing iso and Gwenpool will get covers 13 and 14 from EotS progression, so there's, what, 450k iso required, then another 300k before I start pulling any more tokens so I can max whoever comes up first. Gawd, that's a bit disheartening actually.

    Just champed 4Falcon. Now im 12k from champing SGwen and with her new updates ill be interested to see her in action. That makes 32 champed 4.

    Who’s next? I can champ Drax. I’m also close to being able to champ some of the favored dozen after the recent vaulting changes have been favorable for me personally.

    I also need to get my 2 star farm up and running again. I think I will 2 star it until they are all done ( those that can be ) and then drax it.

    As far as where I am, my roster has 28.5M ISO, with 1.5M needed on fully-covered characters (and under 500k to max the cover-limited ones). 32.5k levels. In farming, I've sold 95 2*s and 2 3*s. I do need to restock the 2* farm, though, and some expiring Agent covers are making that difficult. The next week or so should be very tight (those Agent covers, plus a bunch of Witch covers, plus a boatload of 2* ones all expire in the next 6-8 days), especially if Panther isn't released by then, but it should get much easier after that.

    Not sure what I'll do, at that point, but I'll certainly be more relaxed. icon_e_smile.gif

    Since writing that, I've gotten a few more champion levels, and have fully covered Panther. Other than that, nothing going on at the 5* level.

    In 4*s, I've championed Agent Venom, Gwenpool, Danvers, and Riri, so (well, as of yesterday) I've got all 4*s available as bonus heroes championed. Howard and Dino are still waiting for ISO, but will probably not bother with them until the next time covers for one are available. Mordo and Coulson are a few covers short, each.

    3*s? Nothing much going on there. More champion levels on everyone, and one or two more dupes championed (and two more should be done in the next 3-4 days). Three more dupes are waiting for a final cover (all of which have multiple, unusable covers pending. Ugh).

    Overall? Up to 30.8M ISO in current roster, with some turnover in the farm. My ISO needed is down to about 900k needed for fully covered characters (the two trophies and a pair of 3* dupes). I am at a fairly relaxing point, though, which is a nice change. The only pressure is to get ISO for Panther, because I want to play around with him. But there's no pressure from expiring covers there, which is nice.

    Accumulating an army of dupes as my farm cycles and and I cram iso into waiting 4/5*s instead of ploughing them back in.

    Kind of over/underwhelmed at the same time by the token changes and bonus heroes. I was pulling tokens as usual up to the changeover, so I really felt the difference. Went from pulling lots of top-tier 4*s to... a lot of riri/wasp/blade/cage. No more medusa/bobby/peggy/cyc/rhulk. It sucked. Yes I know some of those I listed are still in tokens. I got more of them before the change.

    Felt like I had a poor run, but I see now it's really just that I had a few concentrated good streaks between dry spells and I stopped getting an unfair number of
    Latests with much of my 3* farm having passed the lt popping milestone.

    By any measure I've had insane luck, pulling all usable covers despite having 2 cover maxed unchamped 5*s and 3 colours at 5 among the rest. I'm stuck though, between champing 4*s and needing to replant the 2-3* farms, I have no idea when I will have iso to champ, now 3 5*s.

    Focusing on Peggy at the moment so I can hopefully stop running from her in PVP. After that it will probably be Fury. Being on day 412, I'm getting Fury from Daily Resupply in a couple weeks. I champ 4s about every 7-10 days, assuming I'm not trying to rebuild my 2* farm or the current PVE event isn't starving me of ISO like The Gauntlet.

    I have a good idea of what I want to do roster-wise as I transition into 4* land but want to make sure I'm using my resources right and am open to feedback. Trying to work on old 4's is a pain in the vaulting era. Also, just so you know I'm a healthpack miser and love true heals so I really want Deadpool and X-23.

    He's my sole bonus hero, so praying I can pull anything but black as a bonus in the next 10 days. It is more likely I'm going to have to spend 120 CP (keeping it on hand just in case) to champ him.

    4. Get Deadpool Red or Black and Champ him.

    Have Psylocke set as my sole bonus. So I should have him at 4/3/5 in no time. One cover away! He'll be my sole bonus after Punisher is champed. And again, if I pull purple I'll have to save 120 CP to buy his 13th outright

    5a. Get Jean Grey Blue or Green and champ her (378,396)

    5b. Get X-23 Red and Purple and champ her (378,396)

    Who I work on first depends on Iso who's boosted, where they are at once the people above them are done. I can get Jean to champ faster only needing 1 cover, but I value X-23 more. I might just set both as bonuses and let RNGesus sort it out. Again will have to keep 120 CP on hand in case he is a fickle god and I have to buy the last cover.

    6. Create/replenish two-star farm (968,890)

    I really liked the idea of keeping the fruit until I NEED to sell it but it looks like I'm going to need to sell to replenish it. If I get the covers I want I'll definitely have to sell to replenish. If bonuses continue to be dry then I might be able to just roster new characters from scratch because I won't have to dump my Iso anytime soon.

    7. Get 7 Hawkeye covers and Champ Hawkeye (127,419)

    Stockpiling all standards and elites until I can set him as my sole bonus 3*

    9. Get any War Machine cover and Champ War Machine (378,396)

    He's the upcoming 900 progressional. I have a rough time reaching 900 (especially with X-force as my only boosted) but will try. I can probably wait a long time to champ him if need be as I don't see me getting a 14th cover anytime soon.

    I haven't nearly enough Iso to do everything on my list but we'll see how things fall.

    I have no idea what to do with Peggy and Bobby! Peggy I can still possibly pull as she's "in rotation" but the lack of Yellow is concerning. If I can get 1 Yellow, I could favorite her, pray I pull a Yellow/Blue and afterward I'd be willing to buy TWO covers to champ her. If I pull a Blue making her 5/0/5, I have no idea what to do!

    Bonus heroes ftw. Last time around, Punisher had four covers. When BH started, he was at 5/0/3. Now he's champed and at 169. Only icon_beast.pngicon_sentry.pngicon_quicksilver.pngicon_doctoroctopus.pngicon_hood.png and icon_hawkeye.png left to champ now. The Hood's next up for BH treatment, because I'm about to get an unusable yellowflag.png in SHIELD Sim.

    So, I got bored during the Gauntlet run, and opened a few classics. It turned out that was every bit as difficult to stop as I expected. I got a couple of extra covers for a few characters, but I quickly pulled covers I didn't have so stopped to save HP.

    Then came vaulting. I'm not going to get into that, because my feelings are complex, contradictory, and, frankly, I'm getting bored just thinking about it.

    I was in the happy position of having most of the glorious twelve rostered already, so I went kind of nuts. I really wanted to get to the point of having a useable 4*, and when the pool contained Peggy, Carol and Medusa, there didn't seem to be much point in waiting when I was sitting on 40+ LTs and ~1,200 CP.

    Long story short, I now have a twelve-cover Peggy, Gwenpool and Riri at 11 each, Luke and Carol at 10, Phil and Janet at 9, and Medusa at eight.

    Oh, and the only 4*s I don't have now are icon_devildino.pngicon_quake.pngicon_elektra.png and Agent icon_venom.png (but I have 5 of his covers in my queue waiting for the HP to roster him).

    Ha, we are leading parallel MPQ lives (see my post above). I did the same thing, with similar results, right down to pulling a single OML yellow cover (although I also ended up with Strange, Thanos, Panther and Green Goblin instead).

    It's been a little over three months since I last posted, and I've been making some great strides in my progress. I'm solidly in three star land, and starting to dip my toe into the four star transition. I have all star.pngstar.pngstar.png and star.pngstar.png characters rostered (except Bagman). The twos are all champed and rotating through the farm, and there's only two threes that don't have at least one cover in each color ( icon_ragnarok.png with one blueflag.png , although he'll get a redflag.png from DDQ pretty soon and a greenflag.png when icon_ares.png gets one more cover; and icon_sentry.png, who will get the yellowflag.png cover he's missing on January 9 at the latest from DDQ).

    WHAT'S NEXT?

    icon_squirrelgirl.png , icon_psylocke.png , icon_shehulk.png and icon_loki.png are all on deck to be champed. The first three already have enough covers and I'm just waiting on the ISO to make the champing official. Loki will get the last cover he needs through DDQ at the latest on 12/29. That will leave just 11 star.pngstar.pngstar.png characters left to champ.

    The star.pngstar.png farm is going strong and I plan to keep rotating them through.

    I'm also looking forward (kind of) to continuing the star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png transition. I've got five characters with at least one cover in each color ( icon_x23.png Level 115 3/1/1; icon_thing.png Level 94 1/2/1; icon_blade.png Level 78 1/1/1; icon_carnage.png Level 78 1/1/1; icon_wolverine.png Level 78 1/1/1), with a few more at two covers in each color and a few more with only one cover.

    I bought one Logan's Loonies shortly after the anniversary was over to add a few roster slots and one month of VIP. I've only got two days left, but will probably get another month as I feel it's helped boost my progress.

    HP is mostly going to opening new roster slots, with the occasional shield in PVP here and there. Between VIP and SHIELD intercepts, I'm mostly getting on top of my ISO deficit, but it's definitely still there. I haven't missed champing anyone I've wanted to, but I've also had to delay leveling up several characters to make sure I have enough for champs as they come along. I had well over 800,000 ISO shortly after the anniversary ended, but went on a champing and leveling spree. At one point, I was below 100K, which hadn't happened in quite a while.

    All in all, I really feel like my roster is really starting to broaden out and that I can start relying on a couple of different teams rather than just one or two. It's cool to finally start feeling like I'm a bit of a contender.

    A lot has changed in three months. About a month and a half ago, I cracked the LT and CP hoard I had been working on for awhile. I had been struggling to get enough HP to keep up with new characters being released and the ones I would occasionally pull or win through progression/placement, so I decided until I could reliably get 2000 HP in reserve (enough to roster a new character if I drew/won one or one was released) that I wouldn't draw any LTs. When Black Panther was released, I decided it was a good time to crack that hoard, as I was only three star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png 's shy of a full roster. This definitely get me much more firmly into the four star transition.

    So let's get on with it:

    I've got all the star.pngstar.png characters (except Bagman) rotating through the farm. As soon as one gets champed, I hold on to any of their covers I draw until I get 13 covers, then sell the champ and re-roster and champ them. If I don't have the right mix of covers in a two week span, then I just sell and re-roster with what I have and champ when I get to 13.

    Every single star.pngstar.pngstar.png character is rostered and champed, except for icon_hawkeye.png, who is 1/3/3 and Level 91. Once he's available to be made a bonus hero, I'll add him to hopefully get him champed fairly quickly. Character levels range from icon_thor.png at Level 202 to Thanos_Icon.png and icon_ragnarok.png at Level 169. icon_mystique.png is currently my only bonus hero at this tier, in an effort to get her to at least Level 183 for the icon_iceman.png cover.

    I have every star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png rostered. I only have one champ, medusa_icon.png at Level 273 3/5/5. Everyone else ranges from icon_wolverine.png at Level 229 to icon_iceman.png at Level 70. Most of them are toward that lower end, and with the advent of vaulting/bonus heroes they might stay that way for a bit, unless the devs change the status quo. I'm at least able to play at a level that I can usually get T10 in SCL7, which is good for a cover, plus another through progression. So progress on the older star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png's isn't entirely over, but I am glad I cracked my hoard before vaulting was implemented, as that broadened out my star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png tier quite a bit. I've also been able to complete a few Crashes, which feels good.

    Perhaps one of the biggest changes, I've now got a handful of 5's, thanks to cracking that hoard. I haven't put any ISO in them to try and help keep my scaling in check. However, once they change how scaling is handled, I might level them up. It will all depend on how that change is implemented.

    WHAT'S NEXT?

    I just need a few more Spidey covers for the star.png tier. I doubt I'll add any characters at this tier beyond the three I have, although icon_blackwidow.png is tempting for her stun.

    The star.pngstar.png farm is going strong and I plan to keep rotating them through.

    I pretty much already covered my plans for the star.pngstar.pngstar.png tier above. I think I'll rotate bonus heroes one or two at a time until they get to Level 183 for the star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png cover reward.

    As far as the star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png tier goes, I'm still trying to decide what the best way forward will be in light of vaulting/bonus heroes. I've saved LTs and CP and opened them in mini-bursts since cracking my hoard in February. Part of me feels like hoarding again is the only answer that makes sense, but the only reason I had so many LTs the first time around was from champing my star.pngstar.pngstar.png's. I can win some Crashes, but those are so few and far between that it's not really a reliable source for LTs. I am trying to get to at least 575 in each PvP event for the 10 CP. icon_ironman.png and icon_iceman.png are my only bonus heroes at this tier, but I've only gotten two icon_ironman.png covers so far. I think I might switch to solely icon_iceman.png, as he only has one measly cover.

    I've maintained VIP status since November, which I think has been beneficial to my progress.

    I've finally gotten to the point where HP is in somewhat of an excess. It's allowing me to buy some shields in PvP, which has been helpful to getting to the 800/900 level on occasion. I'm still mostly on top of my ISO deficit, until I decide to level my star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png's.

    All in all, I still feel like my roster is broadening out and that I can relying on even more teams. It's cool to finally start feeling like I'm a bit of a contender.
