Special pre-anniversary edition of the roster report today because I hit my goal of 720 CP. My plan was to whale some green covers for Black-Suit Spidey but I changed my mind. Don't get me wrong, Spidey is a phenomenal character and the answer to the OML/PHX meta right now. But I can already easily reach 1200 in every PvP with my OML/level 420 Spidey, so why waste all of the CP on 1 cover? So I opened up my entire hoard of CP. After all of the champ rewards and extra CP were collected, I opened 39 Classic/Latest Legendary tokens. I ended up with 2 Surfer, 1 Green Goblin, 1 IM46 and 2 5Cap for 6/39 5*s - right on par with what I should get. As far as 4*s were concerned, I sold the ones where I only had 1 cover and no chance of champing them anytime soon - Star Lord, FalCap, PX, Spider Gwen. With the re-work of Cho and the amount of him covers floating around, I decided to champ him. Good choice! I don't care for him as a character, but I ended up with 9 extra covers for him in this last 2 weeks. That's a lot of nice rewards. So left in my queue are 4 Elektra covers and 3 Invisible Woman covers. I'm well on my way on champing Elektra, she's level 262 already. But I opened up an anniversary 10-pack and got 2 Dino covers. He's already max covered, so I may have to champ him too before getting to IW. I don't know if that's possible, even with double ISO week coming up, but we'll see. So to recap, my last/next 4* champ targets are Cho, Elektra, Devil Dino and Invisible Woman. Am I crazy? Those are all bad characters! Yes, that's true, but at this point in my development, non-top-10 4*s are pretty much irrelevant except for champion rewards. If I have the extra covers for them, then why waste them? The only 4*s that are somewhat relevant that I don't have champed right now is Punisher Max and Peggy, but my Peggy only has 7 covers.

I champed 5 4*s since the last update. In about half the time I normally take to champ 2. Down to 11 fully covered 4*s at 155 and 3 left undercovered - Wasp, Spider Woman and Luke Cage. IF just kept going... still leading the pack at 242. Rags and Storm following at 235 - I need a new milestone. Total 12 3*s have hit 223 and given up their 2nd 4* cover. Scarlet witch got some lucky pulls but still in last place at 201. Trying to maintain the minimum needed for ddq and pve. Desperately need more iso. Bagman count: ZERO.

With a stash like that you should have waited for Strange to go into Latest, then pull all your Latest and use the CP also for Latest. A few random 5* covers from classics won't make much of a difference for your roster since you have no 5* anywhere near useable. Your chances to get a useable Black Bolt, Black Widow or Strange are a lot better than drawing from the ever more diluted pool of classics. Yes, they're 5 CP more expensive, but chances for 5s are much better, which is what you want from LTs.

Random covers is still giving me wierd distributions. Nova and War Machine are at 11 covers, Drax and Quake are at 10 covers and somehow Xforce Deadpool is at 2 covers. I think for now I'm going to try to level Iceman while seeing what other 4* covers show up. I'm going to try to build up a reserve that I can use to champion a 4* if I wind up with a 14th cover for a good character going to waste. If I'm in a good spot I may champion some more 3*'s or I may just level more of my useful 4*'s. Quake at 3/4/3 and level 120 is already good enough to shut down Caltrops so I may keep leveling her to the limit as well.

Where are the covers that actually matter?Short Term Plans I have no real urgency for 4* levels given how most of the characters that actually matter are unusable in their current state, therefore the plan is to max out every single one of my 3*s before moving on to 4*s, so that no DDQ reward goes to waste. I'm still considering whether it's worthwhile to max that 2* and solely for the champion rewards, but as it stands, it's highly unlikely that I'll be touching them unless I run out of usable 4*s to level. In fact, is going to be a greater priority than those 2, if only for the bragging rights for having the only champed bagman in my entire alliance lol.Long Term Plans Since maxing all those 3*s is going to take a bit of time, 4*s belong in my long term plan. Leveling priority goes to in this order unless i can get more covers for the better 4*s. and gets no love despite being maxed covered since I can't justify maxing 4*s I rarely use considering the cost and time it takes to max them out. Once those 4 are maxed (which won't be anytime soon) ISO will be saved until I can get a good 4* with at least 3 covers in the powers that matter. 5*s is probably going to take a backseat unless I accumulate a boatload of ISO while waiting for 4* covers to drop.

Considering just half a year ago I'm at 102 covers only, the growth has been immense. It's been a long journey, 1000 days is no joke considering every other game I play never last me more than a month.
