Yeah I was thinking that, was going to see how well this strategy got me and if I can't get the top spots through rubber banding I'll probably have to do a few more reps in the next sub.
But due to scaling I kind of want to play as little as possible to prevent the wall of 230's.

I might try tanking a bit.
It's terribly boring and kind of ridiculous but it's a lot better than the alternative!
  • Hi, can someone tell me if the stacks reset at every 12 or 8 hours?

They disabled PvE tanking though right?

The scaling plus my natural impulse to collect every last reward plus those 20-iso rewards is driving me to frustration. Five battles in a row, 3 rewards left, and all 20-iso rewards. I don't want to drive up the enemy levels but I also want my rewards. So annoying.

Didn't Ice say that the scaling was more individual and less community?
  • These progression bars in subs are interesting, although I don't see how we're ever getting Peru.

On the other hand Nigeria should be done by the time I wake up icon_mrgreen.gif

Hollllly ****, PvE tanking works. well... guess its time to get a bunch of roster slots and yelenas... sigh.

    Yeah they did.
But it's worth a shot. Well tanking does work but on a much more diminished scale. Took my whole roster to take a level down about 10 levels. I'm not really sure any of the other nodes changed by more than 4 though.
At least that probably buys me about half an hour before they hit 230. So maybe if I keep doing it when I've got time I might be able to stem the flow a little or hold back the tide until the later days of event.

Either that or I just got lucky and my tanking coincided with natural games scaling back.

I'm seeing -5 levels per 5 retreats. I'm going to invest in 6 roster slots and get a bunch of 1* storms/yelenas for this I suppose.

Damn it's obviously working a lot better for you than it is for me!
It's a bit tedious but it's a lot better to be able to do it when the scaling is a bit messed...
  • My missions are mostly low 100s range. I think what Bugpop said about beating missions with low level characters may have an effect. I've been using my level 18 Psylocke on the easier missions (especially the all goon ones) because her animation looks cool and Patch kills everything anyway, so this may have been keeping my enemy levels relatively low.

I've been using low level Psylocke/Spidey/Patch, and haven't run into any 230s yet, despite 2-3 runs on each node. There may be something to that. Her black is great for a free piggyback on Patch's strike tiles each turn, and it's much easier to get going than Doom's black. Enjoying this event so far.
  • Hi, I would like to ask if the stacks for the repeatable missions reset every 12 hours? Or is it every 8hrs?

    Anyone knows?

I checked back after ~8 and they hadn't reset yet, but now they have, and it hasn't been 12 yet. Since the subs are only a day long, maybe it's 10 hour resets this time?

Edit: Why did you post the same question 4 times? Are you a child?

Argh, this messes up my rubberband timing... how unfortunate.

    We all notice.
  • But yeah I'd love if someone else could confirm the refresh times, because I'm not entirely sure that I timed mine correctly. I believe the event begun 12 hours ago, which means they're either 8 or 10.

Joined late unfortunately so can't confirm until tomorrow.
