    An XF Yellow would be insanely useful if there was some new gameplay feature where I could somehow advance a fully covered character by feeding it additional covers.

    Oh well, I guess that's not a feature currently in the game. A pity.

    Perfect time to take a break from this game. XF Yellow sim reward, mediocre new releases, and no "Awesome new features" till January at the soonest. Plenty of other games that actually want your time and money.

    I am always quick to defend the devs...but honestly i cant see the reason for putting one of your oldest 4*s as a 2k sim prize. Not even his black ability. Especially after the iso H8 surprise for ..."not peter parker" spiderman. I am flabbergasted by this. ..WOW....just wow

    Since his nerf I'd been aiming to get XF to a 3/5/5 spec, and only just recently received that 5th yellow cover to get there. Considering how many of my legendary tokens were XF dupes, that also kinda flabberghasts me that none were the yellow I actually wanted.

    Par for the course in MPQ, I'll see yellow XF covers all the time now...

    Agreed, with the cranking out of new 4's all they could give us was an X-force here. I was expecting a Ghost Rider cover.

    If they buff X-Force Wolverine again without first fixing 3* Spidey that may turn out to be the final nail in the coffin for me. I've been resisting my best friend's call to reactivate my Contest of Champions account because I prefer the chill game mechanics of MPQ but CoC not only has an offensively viable Spider-Man but also a black suit version! As much as I appreciate them bringing Miles and Eddie into the game, Peter Parker is the Spider-Man I grew up with and so he is the Spider-Man I want to use (and not just as some niche specialist for ninja wave nodes). I remember once having Spider-man as the last man standing on my team fighting Venom at almost full, buffed health. What should have been an epic battle was the longest, most drawn out and frankly boring match in my MPQ career, the sting of which I still feel to this day. icon_mad.gif

    Sorry, I realize this is totally off tangent so please feel free to ignore or start a new thread if you want to discuss the great injustice that has been done to Spidey.

    And as for the topic at hand, yeah that really is a bad choice for top Sim prize even without the recent problems plaguing the image of the game. I agree that it should have been Ghost Rider or a relatively new character. I'm sure there are a handful of people out there that can reach 2K and actually use the cover but for the most part this comes across as careless planning since most vets won't need the cover and the majority of players that probably do need it can't reach 2K. Bad move dudes, bad move.

    Considering how his yellow was the first 4* ability I ever fully covered over a year ago (and subsiquently managed to pull another 3-4 covers for since) I'm overjoyed at the opportunity to earn yet another 1000 ISO.

    Seriously, my X-Force Wolvie, until the last 6 months, had been stuck on 1/2/5 for over a year. Only recently have I lucked into or won three black covers.

    Also, it seemed that over 50% of last season's pvp have been older 4*s

    It's clear that they want people to last longer in this game. I wonder how many new players they're getting.

    Hmm. Well, it's my policy to neither confirm nor deny any knowledge of upcoming features, but I will have to update my sig wishlist (again!) now that Miles and Venom are being added to the game.

    Come on, even if the upcoming feature was already active, who would've been excited over this cover? But like others have said, I'm glad to have one less thing to do during the upcoming season; which really doesn't speak well for the health of this game.

    It seems to me that the shield 2k reward is geared towards the newcomers, who wouldn't necessarily have had opportunities to get xfw yel via events/rewards. So again, it's another sign that the publisher is moving forward by catering to the new players.

    As for me personally, I actually had to juggle fitting shield last season into my daily mpq playing time, and I managed to reach 2k on like the next to last day. This upcoming season, assuming I stick around mpq that long, I could dial back and relax. So I view the situation as a win-win. icon_cool.gif

    I realize this forum seems to be filled with veterans of the game, but it also seems that a lot of you forget that there are newer players in this game as well. I'm sure there are plenty of players who are just breaking into the 4* tier of play and/or just being able to break into the 2K level award that can make use of this cover. Maybe there's also plenty of players whom the yellow XFW has been that elusive cover they need.

    They can't please everybody with every prize they offer. For every one that thinks this is a worthless prize I'm sure there are an equal number that think it's decent or great.

    My 3/5/3 xfw needs this. Not everyone has a fully covered xfw and I've been playing for over a year. 4pool has made him usable again.
    I do get why a lot of people will be unhappy about this but I for one of many am grateful.
    It's better than getting 1 cover for a 4* that I've only just started covering.
