Yes take out Kingpin first as his yellow along with his AP drain ability can be nasty while denying whatever AP the AI is focusing on. After Kingpin focus on Fury. Rulk isn't that good in my opinion so leave him to last. Hopefully your QS is decent enough to be useful. I think I beat it second try and was lucky enough to have QS blue fire which is always a bonus. My QS was decently covered but I still relied on either DP/Switch to carve them down with DP red and then whale them (not supercharged with DP points though) or I used Blade/Cyclops using Cyclops yellow to populate red and then blades passive fire while collecting purple for blade ability. Can't remember which one I used on this node but those two combos worked the best for me in Global Domination.0 -

I have/had XF/GT maxed for about a year and that is it for 4*so this scaling is absolutely atrocious. There are challenging nodes and then there is insanity - all for one ProfX cover? Ugh.
Use Loki to counter Patchs green, that is what I did and it worked great. Hood should be easy to kill fast with a number of combinations. You could always use Doom or IF to rush black AP if you need it faster for Loki. Well if you have enough characters that are boosted it pushes your averages up and for me, the toughest nodes were somewhere between 80-100 levels higher than my highest five average was. Some of yours could be due to personal scaling as well I guess and 5* covers could factor in there as well.0 -

I used a standard OBW, Ares, 1 cover quicksilver. I basically focused down Rulk first and the rest is simple.
Main things to note:
- Gotta watch their AP reserves every turn and make as many blue, purple, black matches with OBW as you can
- Espionage matches with OBW help keep down (lowest to highest priority) KP poke/purple, NF demolition, and most importantly Rulk purple
- Use OBW purple to keep the other ap reserves down while fueling your own.
- use OBW blue to keep your team's health topped up
- Ares tanks R/Y/G in case OBW needs a break and provides high dmg abilities, however, don't use any of his abilities until you can take down Rulk in a single turn so his red cd tiles dissolve
- since OBW is so important, a blue/purple boost helps to start the match
- while making OBW matches is important, look for good chances to make good 4,5-matches to deny them from building lots of ap
Hopes this helps0 -
I believe the individual subs do not impact each other.
HOWEVER, the main nodes can impact the level of Essential nodes. My Essential #16 was around the 320s and jumped to 395 by the time I completed 41 & 42 (both already 395). I would suggest cutting over to Essentials if the main path is already 395, since the main nodes cannot get any tougher.
EDIT: I apparently missed an hour's worth of posts.0 -

Use LCap and Loki. Like someone else mentioned, take out kingpin first. His powers are cheap and they hurt. I kept Rulk stunned for most of the match once I got Cap's shields going. Loki helps shake the board when you need it, and his AP steal is huge for this. By the end I had 3 red and 2 blue shields going. Do not let Fury get enough blue for Demolition, and be careful on purple/green for Rulk.0 -

I was at 370 before that node, and I don't even have any 4*s above 130! So, yeah, you've got really low scaling, ironically.0 -
I used Scarlet, prof x and GSBW at global domination and worked a lot. I used a prox x lvl 150 with 421, gsbw level 125 535 and scarlet 150 535, my sim 42 was level 395. Finished with no whales .0

My XFD is 1/3/1 so his out of bullets and countdown for what don't do crazy damage...I've been "resorting" to boosted characters but have had no success with 2 of Beast/DD/CMarv...thoughts?
Tried LDaken (w/ Beast and CMarv) and Patch/Loki too...
Blade and 3* Cyclops if you have them.
This combo didn't last long at all, but I went back to the lab and pulled out Beast/DD to go with XFD...DD's ambush tiles were wreaking havoc all over the d@mn place, and billy blub saved the day late since Reed had an Imaginaut tile out. I just realized (after I won and got my daily reward) that I've been stuck on this node all day...lol.

For those of us with a really undercovered/underleveled XFool, any suggestions on how to tackle the last essential node?
Would be a shame to get this far and lose because of this.0 -
Tips for Cyclops, xforce, jean grey node? It's my last one to get prof x!
Thanks for the excellent advice so far!0 -

Please ignore my pm. I misread your message.
Yes, the tip here that worked for me was IF/LC and keep stunning them.
Took me at least six tries.0 -

If you have prof x 4 blue abilitie, and 535 gsbw will be easy with blue purple boost. Dpxf will not be important with any lvl. Did it first try with prof x 150 gsbw 125. Faced a 395 lvl node.0 -

After reading all these posts have realised I need to win any level once a day with DP and save up the whales. Learning so much through the gauntlet!!
Yes getting your DP points daily is huge, you will average around 2800-3200 per day (at least I do). I use him with Cage and Switch to do Big Enchilada every day to get my DP points along with getting iso and covers from DP daily. I have only been using DP in the past few months, if I had used him since starting I would have tons of points banked!
Indeed so would have I 280 days at 2900 points *SOB*0 -

i know the 4* progression reward is out of reach, but is the patch cover reward possible?
Main line is done, as is the dp essential. Now I'm just cleaning up the rest of the essentials. Only 6 fights against 395s, and the last node only took one try.
It's been an enjoyable Gauntlet. I liked pulling out Squirrel Girl for the fights against mohawk.0 -
So I've got only the 6 essential nodes left, if I'm so included I can use the Whales jackpot on 5 of them (which I may just to get it over with).
However, there's the matter of a Level 395 team of Hulkuster, Starlord, & Mr. Fantastic
I didn't see tactics for this particular fight.
My first guess would be to go in with the forced Xpool (thankfully mine is somewhat usable at 3 0 1 ) Luke Cage & Hood. need some type of AP steal to slow them down.
I've used a Cage, Hood, Lazy Cap team for many fights in here.
What are people's thoughts?0 -
The Deadpool Xforce node actually isn't that bad- only Hulkbuster does any real damage. Star-Lord can only hurt you if you let his red countdown tile fire, and Mr. Fantastic can only hurt you if he has his countdown tile down AND he's making red/yellow/green matches.
In short- kill Hulkbuster ASAP, then whittle down the rest. The one cover I have for Deadpool is the one that heals him (red), and I paired him with boosted Daken and boosted Beast, killed Hulkbuster fast, and slowly whittled down the rest.
I did use one Sniper Rifle GSBW team up to clear the damage countdown of Star-Lord, because if it actually does fire it'll almost certainly one shot you.
I'm actually having a lot more trouble with the Hulk/Black Panther/Devil Dinosaur node. Haven't found a team yet that can take them all out before being overwhelmed by strike tiles from Panther, or from Hulk's green.0 -
Jean, HB and Gamora beat me again and again on node 39...
Some advice regarding my roster, please?0 -

GSBW/BP/SW was my team. Try to force SW's tile into an edge so that it doesn't drop match 5s, and use GSBW's purple to only make match 4s. Once JG goes down, unload everything. If it doesn't work the first time, try boosting pink AP to get it started faster.0 -

Finally did it with Hulk, Patch and Loki.0
