my roster has improved some since the last running of this event, so i figure i have a chance to go further than the last time.

Stuck on sim 28. uh, yeah. i'll just play pvp until that new pve event starts...

I went for slow and steady, LDaken (since he's superboosted), hood, loki. Set up match 4s (use loki when none avaiable) and grind them down slowly. They only fired up like 2 abilitys. Also had a nightstalker teamup and with hood it drains their red fast.

Is it even worth trying to beat Jean buster at node 39 without a whale? I have 3 to use, with 5 nodes left. Any coming up that are more beatable?

EDIT: realised it was 4 nodes left so gave in and whaled. Thing in the next fight means Loki beat him easily, so can whale the last 2 then hope I can luck through the essentials

Node 36 with blade, IF and cage is just unfair. My highest level character is 189 (boosted daken) but my next highest characters are 166 with blade and cage being my main go to characters. They are all level 225, just can't compete with that. I understand a challenge but this is just lame. Have attempted to Hulkbomb it but to no avail.

I'm at the final node for alpine tactics and I think I'm screwed. The only decent AP stealer I have is OBW and she isn't boosted. My hood has only 1 blue, sw is 3/0/1 and Loki is 4/2/2

Is there any other strategy that might work?

Yes.

Whaled 2. One was unplanned... as the whales tu just happened to load in and was about to lose when i noticed it locked and loaded.

Winfinate, fistbuster, canagebuster rotation based on team i was facing.

iF/Hood/Cyclops3* or Mag2*/Hood/SteveRogers3*. I do not remember what the other character. Jean Grey is easy to be defeated because it is slow.

I do not remember the node, but it should be IMHB/Hood or Steve rogers3* and Hood. I went easy on the first try.

Yeah I wish I had my Steve Rogers covered and leveled up but missing 5th red cover and 3rd yellow still. I did take your advice and completely sold out Hulkbomb with 3Thor (who is not optimally covered and still under leveled and KK). Beat it using this team on my second try (8th try overall).

For the JG/wolvXF/Cyclops node in the QS essential, I used QS(had to of course) with Deadpool and Switch. Beat it easily second time I played. Would have first time but accidentally made a match 5 on cascade which turned match in AI favor with JG. Strategy is simple waste JG early which is easy to do with DP red ability and then gather purple for whales (helped by Switch) and deny black to Wolverine. Cyclops can hit hard but with blue or red but you can take those you can't affored Xforce black ability to fire. My DP and Switch are max level but Switch is not optimal for me with only 3 blue covers right now but she still works fine. QS was covered ok and I think around level 180 for me and his blue and black/green abilities were marginally useful to me during the fight.

It may be difficult with that roster as I bet Surfer cover may be screwing somewhat with your scaling. Daredevil seems like your best overall bet since he is boosted along with perhaps Captain Marvel 3* but you could really benefit from more yellow on her. Your GSBW is nice with 5 green but you don't have many ways to ramp quickly with her since you can Hulkbust this one since Hulk is an enemy. Maybe Daredevil/Captain Marvel 3*/Classic Daken or Colossus?

Consider Patch/Loki/Daredevil too. Rush green and black to use Patch's green and then convert AI tiles using Loki's black? Daredevil's purple could alternatively be used to destroy AI tiles too?

80% of the nodes I used IF/PX and Quicksilver. Even though he is normally not that good, without him I wouldn't have been able to complete the Gauntlet...
The DPXF essential has been done with Cage and IF. It only took two tries and I got my yellow PX

Thanks, the dd/Loki/patch combo got me further than I've gotten so far. Still not downing them - once the abilities start rolling I'm sol. I'm going to try a few more times though, a lucky board might get me there.

You can use Loki/ Patch +1. I generally use Deadpool or Gamora, but for your roster should be Punisher or Torch the third member.

Also: Hulk / GSBW / Punisher

If the first team you need black / green booster because of the automatic black iron fist.
