AsianInvasion wrote:I like how this event is running. Rewarding grinders who put the time in. Have hit top placement in all but one sub and am cruising in my main bracket. If this is the future of PVE, Sign me up.
I've been cruising to 1st on hard and top 10 on normal, but dropped to 3rd overall after this round, so some brackets can still be quite competitive.
I think this system is a good balance between grinding and 'must have XYZ'. I can cruise to a top 10 finish but the top 5 spots can still be very competitive depending on the bracket you're in.0 -
Sorry if the question has been asked and answered before... I do not understand how this event works: previously the level of enemies went up after each win. Now it seems that the level goes up based on time.
1) Am I right?
2) If I am right, could someone tell me what is the time span during which the level of enemies will remain the same?
3) If I join the event late (say 12 hours before the end for instance), will I get the maxed enemies, or will they start at their lowest level?
Thanks!0 -
I'm finding the normal bracket to be quite the nuisance to maintain top ranking...takes so many more fights to move back up the ladder vs hard, where one or two fights can really improve your standing.0

Enjoyed Valentine's Day, which has kept me out of the Top 10.
Grinded for a while on this set of sims. Reward? Two Caps.
Not feeling the love at the moment.0 -

It takes a while to reach #1, but once you're there at the 2nd to last refresh, it seems like you just need to grind the top point missions 3 times to secure your #1 spot. Personally, I just treat my grinding as going for those 500iso progression rewards, and time it such that I'm always grinding max rubberbanding points while farming iso.0 -
Wow. Just looked at hard mode.

We currently think that the levels of the enemies increase based on how many times a particular level has been beaten by everyone in the entire community. The earlier you join, the lower the levels will be, so do all the hard fights today before they become impossible. Joining late will have enemies at a higher level because the community has already beaten them a lot by that time.0 -
I stole a Trap on a board full of CD tile, and figure it's going to suck since I only control that one tile, but apparently the ownership of the tiles does not change. It's just pointed in the wrong direction when you steal it, so my Trap did 15K damage to The Don because he had plenty of CD tiles out there to satisfy the 'down if at least 5 CDs' requirement.0

Look on the bright side, at least the Hulk isn't buffed =D.0 -
If its a squishy one i'll go for first again, otherwise doing one lap for FTW bonuses and focuses my efforts on hard/main bracket.
Must get Psylocke --- failure is not an option...0 -

Right now the difficulty is already way up there it's probably not going to matter on the missions with the biggest reward (2500/1000 iso). The rest of the missions may change, though it was always a longshot trying to get the 500 iso reward on all the nodes and that'd be the only reason to try to do a mission early while it's still easier (and they're really not that easy anymore). My placement so far is #1, #1, and 2 top 10s in the sub bracket and I don't think I have all the iso8 500 rewards on any single bracket.
Although the missions are harder if you do them later, they're also worth more points due to rubberband, so it kind of balances out, if you can do the mission at all anyway.0 -

Thanks a lot NorthernPolarity & Phantron! Still a bit confused though: should not everyone face the same level of enemy in this case? As we all know, some people with very low roster seem to be successfull and reach top 10, but it seems impossible if they have to face 230ish ennemy. Thanks again for the quick answer!0 -
Did anyone already got to last fight and can tell what are rewards and what is the fight ?0

No, you got it! I tried an 800 mission at the end, but with no Patch and Devil Dino at 16K health I couldn't finish it in time. Enjoy the extra Captain America!
The 3rd pull actually was a cap. So was the 1st 1 too. Haha!!!
Any1 else only get rewards from 1 sub?
same here, probably your last ditch efforts mucking up our payouts!0 -

So scaling is based off a ton of random stuff that we aren't entirely sure of. Given the current information, it seems like the scaling has 2 main factors: one is based off of how many time the community has beaten a node as i said, and another one seems to somehow take into account how strong your roster is. We don't know if it's either based off of the total levels you have or how often you win in PvP or whatever, but this second factor is why lowbies are able to face sub 230s. I don't think the devs would tell us because they don't want us to game the system or complain about how silly their algorithm is.0 -

People with weak rosters face weaker opponents.
However the people with weaker roster tends to have a big advantage over a mid range guy because they will actually use all the boosted characters instead of sticking to their usual team (due to having a weak team). My level 15 Dr. Doom has 5400 HP in this round. Even a level 6 Captain America has 2400 HP. A low level minor boosted character is still easily better than any nonboosted 2* character in raw stats, and a level 85 minor boosted character can put up a good fight against a level 230 3*.0 -
Ugh, I just fought my little **** off in this, managed to struggle to a 15th place finish, and was super excited to get a reward token. Except, no reward token. At all. I was hoping to be able to use it to possibly field a better team but guess not. Support ticket is already in for it, but likely won't be resolved in time to affect the results.0

It can take a while to get your token depending on when you entered. I haven't received mine either, and believe I got mine maybe 45 minutes after last time.0 -
