I don't think those are all from the same slice, they must be the top 10 overall. Johnny1Punch was in my bracket in Slice 4.

I think it's neat, so long as the devs don't think these are "normal" scores and push out the progression.

The max is 75. And it takes a lot to get the full 75 icon_lol.gif

Was trying to go off memory, if it maxes at 75, then i just saw it wrong, either way.. i got what i wanted.

I don't think there is a cap, i have lost more than 75 off 1 hit before, so they may have changed it.

The scoring does not effect my game play as I will play as I always have, but if they are really looking at shield hopping and how to eliminating outside communication why are they promoting these scores?

Man, how come I couldn't have been in this slice! I'm aiming for slices like this because as stated before, the higher the top scores, the higher the next set of scores. Progression rewards are the most important part of PVP for the majority of players in the game, so bring it.

If it makes you feel any better, you can tell by looking at the various names that all those scores didn't come from the same slice.

That means high scorers like that are scattered throughout the different slices, which is great for players like me (and you, from the sounds of it) who play for progression, not necessarily rankings. Most people may not be able to queue them at those high point values, but those points trickle down and make (almost) everyone happy.

Original cap was 50 points max from a match - matches against a player of similar score was 25 points.

They increased everything by 50% so the new cap should be 75 and the new baseline for finding someone with the same score as you is 37/38.

"No effect" because I had no idea this was even a thing until I saw this thread, and facebook, as a general rule sucks...except for birthday reminders...and for that, its awesome.

I'm fine with the devs promoting the game and scores. Marketing is important to any business. And this is a cheap channel for them.

I think this is a bigger issue not being addressed. Would like more discussion on this as well as a comment from D3 to this.

Yes, these are across all timeshards and all brackets. And no, we don't think these are "normal" scores. Normal for high scorers? Sure, Blind Justice was pretty standard for high scores. Normal as in the average higher end player will reach them? No.

Because until we have something to share, there's not much to say on it. We're well aware of how all that affects the game. What's also a hot topic is the affects any changes will make to try and curb that without the numerous knock on effects that just "killing" hopping would have. Promoting these scores promotes the game in its current form, which we believe is good, but could always be better.

What are your thoughts on just limiting the number of shields a player can use to say 5-6in a PVP. You could remove cool downs players could still hit progressions but it would make 2-3K pretty much impossible.

Remove all player and alliance names from PVP's, you never know who you are fighting or have any way of checking their roster or what alliance they are in.

    Then you have true PVP.

As people have mentioned before as a response to this suggestion, this doesn't inhibit the truly organised in the least - they'll just run bagman in the left slot for example in their teams so people know it's them. Or something pretty much unique like that. All it does is hamper the experience of the people who aren't as organised as that.

I'm starting to think based on IceIX's response that the way it is now, is really the most fair after all. Those that spend the most time playing (and spend money) get the biggest rewards and reach the highest scores. Fair is fair.

Yep, or run a 269/loaner 288/268 team so you know from level numbers who that player is. We could remove *that*, but that's pretty vital information to know before hitting an opponent.

True PvP would be no shields. They introduced them before time slices as a way to accommodate people who couldn't play at the end time. Now you can choose your end time, so make it no shields, one just one shield per event to "save" your score.

Not that I would actually want this, if you want true PvP, that's how you get it. (Short of playing actual players live.)

It's not broken - no need to fix it.

Also, I have to laugh at some of those comments on Facebook. Potatoes gonna potate.
