    Like:
    - overall layout is cleaner and more consistent
    - buttons make more sense

    Dislike:
    - low res assets scaled up are not good. It's a throwback to late 80s EGA/VGA pixel art. Higher res assets would be great.
    - the neon border on pop-ups. It's okay-ish for a pop-up without scrolling, but in PvP event pop ups, where you have to scroll, the neon border is jarring.
    - the changing colour on the top tabs. Keep it consistent, please!
    - too many gradients!! I'm a big fan of relatively flat design, with drop shadows and gradients used subtly for accent.

    Please fix:
    - the PvP Shield Sim icon is incorrectly offset. Season XVII is blodged across about 2/3rds of S.H.I.E.L.D., so you can't even read it properly.
    - Can we get a new battle UI please? The current one is totally inadequate. I (and at least 195 other forumites) want this, please: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=30408

Looks eww on Steam. Looks a thousand times worse on my Galaxy S5 where I can only fit 1 1/2 event icons on the screen anymore, instead of the three or so that used to show up.

Just to be completely clear, we will most definitely be iterating on the UI, including the oft cited low-res Event tiles. We're 100% most definitely listening to and processing all the feedback. Keep it comin', good, bad, and ugly! The Stranger thanks you!

I've already posted an issue regarding the poor contrast on the popup element for Steam (see: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32023).

With all the real problems this game has, some of which have been addressed, but most of which have not, I find it insulting that the developers wasted their time putting out this gosa. Unless of course they were trying to emulate a dos based video game. In which case, they nailed it.

I know this might be difficult to imagine, especially if you're not familiar with the industry, but the people who work on the client/artwork aren't the same people who do balance adjustments or whatever else you think is a bigger priority. What you're doing is like complaining about how long it takes to get your drywall hung when the electricians are busy doing electrical work.

Was this feedback not communicated by your beta testers? Something this universally panned seems like it would have had a hard time making it to a release candidate otherwise.

The new UI on the whole is ugly, angular, and harkens back to the old way the game used to look. And like you said, the images are just bigger versions of the original picture. If you're going to have such big icons, you need to make them HD and more detailed so as not to have a cheap look. But then, cheap looks and the new UI go hand in hand...

what is a scary thought a bigger picture of dakken with no shirt AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Looks terrible, everything is just too damn big/zoomed in.
  • Playing on 5.5'' in 1920x1080...
    Ugly.
    Low res.
    1 picture on display only.

Simple question - if game request to hold display verticaly, why do we have menu with horizontal movement??

    Anyway, pretty **** UI update.
You dont have betatesters or eyes? How you can give us such a ****?
  • Bad, it like switching from a flatscreen tv to an ancient box TV icon_e_confused.gif

Also voting "bad". I play on an iPad Air and a Galaxy S5, and have grown accustomed to the iPad looking a bit worse. The game didn't scale well to 11", I get that, but now my S5 looks worse than the iPad did before.

Deadpool's giant head is pretty unnerving.....

I don't mind it being "boxy", but the size of the events are ridiculously big.

Also, why is the completed Psylocke PVP results in the story section?

It just feels like this was rushed out to release without proper testing or quality control - something that has plagued this game in the past but I thought had gotten better lately.

I do like the buttons on the bottom, and the purple on the highlighted story event would be good to use for all three tabs when highlighted as it makes a nice contrast from the blue (instead of three different colors)...

My biggest issue with this change was why was it necessary in the first place?

Edit: Played on Android 5.0.1 on LG G3

We would also have accepted Hotline: MPQ.

Older Events didn't have the tags to set them in the proper place. Singular artifact.
  • I play the PC version and I have to say that in my opinion the new look is awful.

The background images on PC are terribly blurred and grainy - with the colour combinations and the overscaled images it is painful to look at.

I agree with others, it's ugly looking.

Only good thing I can think of is now the number of people in a bracket is easier to read.

Hate to be critical cause I know lots of time was spent working on it. I play on Ipad and Galaxy S6 phone and while I like the reworked bottom part that now includes quick access to the alliance, I can't stand the event graphics on the main screen, they are HUGE on the ipad and look terrible, and they just look odd on the phone now.
  • Eh, it's fine.
  • I like the old version a lot better- the event pictures are too big now, and it makes the game difficult to navigate. I do like the separate tab for the prologue though.

"Horribly ****" describes the new UI pretty well
