Cap America is best for the 5 wave node, especially if you have 5th covers: stun the board mover while covering a countdown.

Falcon is ok for handling the other countdowns, but isn't as good if you're constantly using blue to stun. I prefer Storm for board destruction, or OBW for AP steal (indirect slowdown of countdowns)

@Avarice13 Probably Cap America + Magneto.
Basically, grab purple to feed Cap's Blue and Red. Then stun the board mover. If you do it right, you'll have 2-3 red shields and 2-3 blue shields on board at any given time. Whether you use 2* Cap or 3*Cap depends on your covers, but am assuming you have a 3/5/5 2* cap.

Hmm, I don't think I would bother with Gamora. Also, note that the person that suggested Captain Marvel with Hulk was using 3 Captain Marvel. She has a stun and builds red and black AP from damage. I don't think 2 Captain Marvel is going to be much use here.

Wave 4 with OBW and Hulk is promising. OBW can heal your damage to keep Hulk going and also helps deal with Goon tiles. I imagine it's pretty tricky to play though. My strategy would be to save AP for the beginning of each wave. Quickly dump your and then to down the active character first. Then farm the goons for AP as slowly as possible. Judiciously tank abilities and CD tiles with Hulk to trigger Anger, and only make and matches when safe. Don't underestimate Ant-Mans abilities, although OBW's and will usually have higher priority. Match priority: (when safe) > (when safe) > > > > . Don't use OBW's Aggressive Recon as soon as able. Use it when it would steal maximal AP, or if a character is about to use an ability, or if you need to steal AP to use an ability to prevent significant damage.

If you're not yet, make sure to save Captain America covers. If you can get enough, I feel that would be a better use of your Iso-8.

I finally finished it off with Patch and Loki. Loki slowed down the other team and stole opponent tiles. Ant Man flooded the board with special tiles and stole the ones Loki missed. Patch wrecked face.

I blew through more than 10 health packs (because I annoyingly got two groups of packs out of the DDQ vault) attempting mission 5 at level 105 scaling. I tried:

2/5/5 Falcon 127 + 3/2/5 Blade 127
4/2/2 Patch 102 + 2/1/4 GRocket 91
3/5/5 MNMagneto 94 + 5/5/3 CStorm 94
2/1/4 SRCap 91 + 3/2/2 Kamala 89

and have only made it to wave 3 once. I'd say 90% of my attempts fail in wave 1 or almost immediately after starting wave 2. I've read the suggestions about using Ant-Man to steal tiles, but almost every board has been strapped for blue AP, so I either eat caltrops trying to kill Daken, or suck up Chemical Reaction trying to down the Kishu. And don't even get me started about the freaking Captain Marvel team-up doing team-wide damage in the middle.

I honestly don't think I'm going to be able to clear this by the time the event's over.

this event is ridiculously hard.... i can't even finish it with patch + loki+ beast at lvl 166.
i wonder what percentage of the players will achieve this.

FINALLY! I have finally beat node 5 to get antman cover. Used captain 3* level 123 and maxed obw. Thanks for the suggestions!

Sooo... has anyone actually managed to squeeze all the rewards from this event? I was so discouraged by my three 20 iso in a row that I stopped trying, but I'm still curious.

I have on the first 2 nodes and 3/4 on big things. the other 2 are stuck at 1/4 and of my last 9 attempts on the last 3 nodes I've only gotten the 2 on big things, one on my last attempt. beating my head against the dolls and inner space for 20 iso is not fun and I might revisit them again but not unless I'm real bored. last night I found myself farming some of the remaining prologue nodes instead of revisiting ant man, which is a bad sign.

I have a hard time believing that this event....which I cleared in 30 minutes over two weeks ago...is still going to be sitting on my story page for another 15 days. Ug, I wish there was a "dismiss" or "hide" button.

Well, she has almost quit, the 30 days of no connection, follow by 0 compensation kinda put her off some.. she plays something called Crazy Kitchen or the like now for her match 3 fix, only doing DDQ for daily rewards and a prologue node for DP points anymore.. i talked her into doing ant-man.

DDQ biggest downfall is required characters.

I'm ready for 3 star transitions and can complete all nodes, so today lucky me because i've never lucked into a deadpool cover (I have literally 18 3 star covers of my small roster slotted right now and have sold off 5 or so because of a lack of covers for too long) I can't get dead pool. Unless within the next 18 hours I get to 1200 in shield sim with the highest person being a shielded 1000.


DDQ worked well when you guys were around for 3 stars being released.
There are so many now that 2 nodes are useless to me on most days.

I actually began to think for a while that Deadpool was an exclusive release, until I saw people getting him in the 10 pack thread.

They're hoping people who saw antman can go into theaters, look for marvel stuff on play store and luck into this game.

Do realize this wouldn't be a 30 minute affair for someone on day 1.

Any chance in seeing these nodes down leveled after I wipe for the 10th time? Shouldn't personal scaling kick in at some point?

Kind of bummed to see some of the trouble folks are having with this one.

I beat it on my first try, not really even paying attention at about 1 in the morning out of boredom.

Never really in any danger, didn't finish waves with powers (it was my first attempt, so I was just going for the lay of the land), and ended up with pretty much full health on all my heroes.

OBW - fully covered (optimal layout) and leveled

SRCA - 8-9 covers, level 94 (5 blues)

Made sure AM was the focal point for all matches and powers, used OBW strictly as a healer, with Steve was on red only duty, with a few very selective blue usages.

My main advice using my team would be to ALWAYS have 30 blue unless you were using ONE skill at a time, and then making sure to rebuild your blue.

Beyond that, realize that AM is EXTREMELY powerful, even at L70. If you succeed without much effort, it's because you realized this fact and learned to use him properly and OFTEN.

I tried a few combinations mainly to see what worked, and eventually tried Kamala Khan, Steve Rogers, and the loaner, and pretty much annihilated it - my strategy was to stun or knock out the tile movers, and use the time spent going after the goons to heal up any damage, and was at essentially permanent full health before too long, thanks to Kamala's heal..
