I'm not nearly patient enough for that.0 -
Many nice updates, especially the 1300 pts 4* cover.
Will probably lead me to shield hop again, as I had no more excitement about it lately.
It's cool to bring some new stuff before the summer. Last year the Summer season was pretty boring because you probably expected people to play less because they were on vacation. Which is understandable.
Next step guys :
PvE scaling, AND
NO MORE DARK AVENGERS IN THEM !!!
Or, release lazy versions of them, so that at least we get something new...0 -

Changes
-Revamped Shield Sim to include more 3*'s and ISO plus 4* at the end
-Goon tile damage reduced (except on tile damage abilities)
-PVP Loaner will have 1 of each cover
(not sure if it's 1/1/1 or if each node has a different cover like we're recently seeing)
Increased ways to earn a 4*
-2000 pts in Shield Sim
-1300 pts in PVP (1000pts remains)
-T100 for new release
-Possibly from the new Vault
Vault Details
-Released 6/28/15
-New ways to use Tacos: Take item out of vault, can reset vault (1000HP)
-300 rewards to collect
-Rotates every 5-days
-Health pack awards includes
Sounds interesting, can't wait for Sunday. I am glad the devs are starting to address some of our concerns. Thank you!
- Minion tile damage is reduced, but the minions with powers that destroy tiles (and do damage for those destroyed) had those powers raised in damage to compensate, and are roughly equal to the damage done before the change.
- 1/1/1 loaners
- Deadpool Daily Vault is currently at this second seeded with 3 4* covers. That could change (up or down) depending on how people actually use the Vault. The *intent* is to increase 4* output to players through something they regularly use. In this case, Deadpool Daily. But if it turns out that opening this particular spigot does nothing or too much, we'll re-evaluate.
- Deadpool Daily Vault sucked away a bunch of 2* cover odds to add in: 10K Iso, 5K Iso, 1500 Iso, 3x Health Packs. At this very moment, it's 42x 3x Health Packs in the Vault, which are usually more useful to players than that same chance in drawing another Hawkeye (Modern).
Any bulk HP awards in the vault? I've pulled more than my share from the current taco tokens (I think either 1250 or 1500; lost track at some point), and they've been a boon.0 -

Everything sounds great. Seems like the current approach for hoarders like me will not change. We'll hoard this "new" set of tokens until the rotation for the newer 3* come around and then go all in. I really dislike how the 3* Bullseye got slotted into the middle of the rotation. Now he's in a group that we've clearly had fully covered characters.0
-
WOW! - cannot wait to see the rewards in Shield SIM - sounds great!
Really pleased to hear the reward rates for 4 's are being increased.
In all - looking good - can't wait to test.0 -
I appreciate the fact that D3 has decided to keep 4* cover reward at 1,000 points, rather than simply move the chain, so to speak. I wonder if the subsequent 4* at 1300 will be same character or a different one. I guess we'll find out in a few days.
I clear DDQ daily, and open my tacos asap. So hearing that the tokens won't be modified/improved for the vault means no kicking myself for being impatient.0 -

Open up, it's the Hording Police! Put your hands up and keep your Tokens were I can see them.0 -

Lots of good stuff overall. There's only two things that I think should be kept an eye on as they could be improved:
-The quick rate of vault rotation. That means that unless you become a hoarder, you'll only be pulling up to 10 items (or a few more if you buy some) from a vault before it rotates. 10 out of 300 will not increase the percentage of drawing the better stuff significantly, as the odds still overwhelmingly favour a "bad" reward. Hoarding is the only sensible behaviour unless you're a consecrated gambler, but not all of us like hoarding.
-Health packs as a prize suck. They cannot be relied upon or expected, you pop them when you don't need them, then they are spent first whenever you need a single one. They are especially redundant in our 10-pack brave new world. Two suggestions for this: replace the packs in the vault with +1 AP to all boosts, or make it so earned health packs are spent /last/. (i.e. you only dip into them if you have used your 10 free ones.) As they are now, I much, much rather draw a sellable 2*.
Anyway, that's two tiny things among a bunch of awesome, thank you so much!0 -
I agree, 1 week of 300 items rotating is too short. The Vault should rotate every month when the round of covers for each character ends.0

I'd be okay with hoarded health packs being used last rather than first, but as someone who doesn't use boosts, well, ever, I'd rather have health packs than boosts as a reward.0 -

Another suggestion, then: Make those items be a "Try Again!" or re-roll chance. Literally an pool-thinning prize.0 -

Well some of the potential prizes might not be covers.
I am going to guess you can have various prizes of various quantities.
You have ISO prizes.
You have Hero Point Prizes.
You could have a pack of taco tokens to give you even more "spins on the wheel"
You can have boost prizes.
Health pack prizes.
But let's say it is covers. Moonstone has three colors. So you can have a red , a black and purple covers . So since there are over 70 characters with three color covers, that could be 210 of those prizes. Luckily, there are more two star characters than three star characters. Let's be honest though, it will be "SELECTED" characters to be put in the vault. So maybe two potential four star covers and maybe 5 to 10 three star covers to get out of a chance of 300 prizes. Which is better in the past where that number was ZERO.0 -
IceIX wrote:CNash wrote:Does the Vault reset everything every five days, or just the 3* selection?
Let me give you a scenario: say my ten "free" Deadpool Daily Vault Tokens grant me ten 2* covers. My chance of getting a 3* (or some other much nicer reward) is increased accordingly... but only if I spend money to buy another Vault Token right now, because I'm not getting any more freebies from Deadpool Daily and the whole Vault resets tomorrow. Does that sound about right?
How about holding onto Vault Tokens until you've accumulated enough to really boost the odds of getting the good prizes, then splurging them all at once?0 -
I'm guessing someone could potentially just buy 300 tokens worth to get everything guaranteed? And that's why there's an option to refresh the vault? So that the 4* Legendary wallet warriors can get guaranteed covers?0

Yep. It'd only take 5 months of hoarding. That's why they need to make the vault last much longer than 5 days. Keep it around for a couple months so people can actually open their tokens as they get it instead having to hoard them not to waste the vault's potential. And then, by the end of two months when vault is about to reset and people still have a few of the good rewards to get, they may feel the impulse of buying tokens.0 -
Wait.... so are we going to be getting a lot more tokens in a week now?
I saw an example earlier of something being in the vault at a 12/300 rate for 4%. So you're telling me that if that's the thing I want and I pull 10 other things that week instead..... I will now have a 12/290 rate to pull it.... in other words, a 4.1% chance? Oh baby look at those increased odds!
If we still get 10 tokens a week and there are 300 things in the vault, that's a joke, right?0 -

If you hoard 300 tokens, you deserve a few 4*. If you bought 300 tokens to get 3 4*'s, you'd be better off just buying the 4* covers at 2500 a pop.0 -
I just remembered from the last video the devs mentioned that roster slots could be included in the Vault but they made no mention of this or slots at all. Can anyone confirm this?0
