Alliance mates spotted a Carnage/Vision team in the wild...
Does the AI take tile ownership into account for things like Vision's Blue and Yellow?
Aside from cheap ability spam, would Vision's blue just add damage to Alien Instincts every turn it was out? The opposite if yellow is out?

There is definitely a bug somewhere. I have not figured out the exact trigger for sure yet, but midway through my battle in the Enter the Dark Avengers node, Alien Instincts started to fire every single turn, even when the goons were not placing countdown tiles. This may very well be a case of passives triggering the power, possibly with Daken's Healing & Heat being the culprit.0

If Vision is in the center spot (and in PvP he isn't) then he owns the attack tiles. During the initial Vision PvP he actually was able to boost IF attack tiles with Density : Heavy virtually guaranteeing 8 hits on it if not more from small cascades, which made Vision pretty ok-ish. In a weird situation. Where it was clearly not intended.
As far as Denisity : Light goes, if Vision is tanking the damage, it should reduce by his ability amount. All attack tiles are added up as a single attack and then you subtract defense, so it wouldn't change 12 attack tiles into 12x1 damage but it would negate 12xstrength-density I guess. KK probably better tho, giving you health every time you also hand out attack tiles.
If it was spotted in PvP I doubt it was working as they wanted it to, but who knows at this point. In PvE I could maybe see it, but why wouldn't you just use Vision/IF/Cage instead?0 -
Happened to me, both teams using black loaner, after the first enemy was defeated it triggered for both teams at the start of every AI turn0

Also seen every turn trigger bug in Carnage pvp. Unfortunatily when I realised i could record the screen, i killed the AI0

Of all of the passives in the game, Carnage's Alien Instincts is the most annoying. In matches with enemies that use countdown tiles, using Carnage makes the match easily take twice as long as it would with any other character. As bad as Quicksilver is, I'd rather have him on my team than Carnage.
No one is going to want to face Carnage in PvP. Not because he is a dangerous enemy, but because matches will take so **** long.0 -
I am also seeing this glitch in PVP. Loaner carnage with only his power is firing his for both my team and defensive team.0

Slight off-topic, but whitecat mentioned something akin to what I noticed; when I was playing Webslinger PvP, I was noticing that the loaner was changing colors between fights. I'm not sure if that is intended or not (but I kind of liked it, conceptually).0

The three PVP nodes have different laoner colors.

I need to verify this again, but I'm pretty sure I saw Carnage's "create attack tiles when an ability fires" ability activate when I used a power to down him (similar to Teisatsu Turn to Smoke). I'm guessing this shouldn't happen.0

I posted details of the bug in this topic ("Carnage Bug: Alien Instincts triggers on AI move w/no target" https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30687).
Basically, Carnage's Alien Instincts is triggering when the AI (and possibly user as well?) attempts to use an ability with no legal targets (e.g. Loki Trickery when there are no Strike or Protect tiles), i.e. the AI has the required AP to use the ability but isn't able to due to lack of targets, but the Carnage trigger is happening anyways.
(Apologies to the mods for creating separate topic. I did read this topic before making my new one, but at that time this current topic seemed to be focused only on Alien Instincts triggering from Goon CD abilities ... which is a separate issue and apparently not a bug, i.e. by design).0 -
If pair carnage with xforce and grocket, there will be 5 powerful active colors (except purple), and the team is immune to carnage red because of true health regeneration by xf and grocket, yet the carnage black is still a problem that hurts carnage himself.0

Was trying Carnage with Devil Dino. Sure you get a lot of attack tiles, but so does the other team. You can add a strike tile generator (Panther works well), but you don't need more than one attack tile to proc an extra attack. Doc Ock's manipulation is decent, but there's a lot of color overlap: no actives on yellow, black. With Hulk, you can trigger Anger once a turn, but his Clap clears both friendly and enemy tiles; I haven't gotten it to work as effectively as Patch/Hulk, but I guess that's just Carnage's chaotic nature? Maybe I don't have enough Carnage covers.0
