I'm #1 in my bracket and I have the best roster out of the top 10. Victory for the bad guys?

There are two in the top ten with 1 star roster, but the other 7 all have level 85 characters. I am the only guy with characters above level 85 in the top (Spiderman).

Not sure how many times I need to say it, but don't stick around to find out what happens on a big attack from a goon, especially if the damage is more than the total HP you have. One time I did stick around for a 2K flamethrower because I was on the verge of establishing a stun lock so I decided to tough it out, but if that happened early on, I just retreat immediately and then do a all goons missions to heal back up. And if you're trying to fight the 3 level 230 villians with the available roster, you got some serious guts. I beat Imposters Assemble once, but that was probably luck, and haven't come close to beating the one after that (Ares is a considerable step up in difficulty compared to Moonstone).

i beat all the missions at least 1x, but i did have to use boosts on the villains (usually just 20% DA damage boost, and purple/blue +3).

I don't want to go through the villains missions again, since I already got the 500 ISO rewards from them on the first play through and the resulting rewards will be a net loss if i'm using boosts.

Goons are very simple, just need to be patient and make right moves.

    My team right now:

    125 GSBW
    125 C Spidey
38 Daredevil (nice boosted stats/hits for red)

would be nice if the rewards reset at all during this event....otherwise I"ll just keep grinding out the goons and hoping that the noobs don't completely obliterate me.

I tried a few times on the mission after Imposters Assemble and just didn't seem to be worth it, since I don't have time to do all the missions anyway I don't see the need to risk dying and use boosts when I can plug away at some goons.

I assume by villians you mean the triple villian mission? The one villian + 2 henchman mission might as well be all henchman (just stun the 1 villian with Spiderman) and is actually pretty easy points.

I think the winning rewards should reset daily since that's roughly the timeframe a normal sub event would've lasted.

yeah that's what i meant. unfortunately those are the ones worth the most!
  • So are the levels in the heroic mode ever going to reset?

The top 10 of my bracket hasn't moved in 24 hours. I'm going to win it without playing for 5 straight days. I feel so funbalanced right now.

I have more than twice the points of #10 in my bracket right now. Remember, what sucks for you also sucks for everyone else. It looks like plenty of people are giving up on this event too, which means those who didn't give up don't have to work as hard to place well. Now, trying to get the 50K progression reward, you might have to kill yourself to do that, but I never seriously contemplated going for them. Heck, right now my goal is to hit 10K before the event ends.

Right now I have no idea how anyone can possibly come close to the 50K rewards. I'm leading my bracket with 3300 and it's about 1/4 of the way through. I might be able to get the Daredevil cover at 10K at this rate.
I think the 50k was meant to be about as attainable as the 1000HP and triple Spidey'n'Widow in SHIELD Training. And I don't mean during the brief window after they introduced shields but before they dealt with what they'd somehow managed not to anticipate people using them for. Progression > placement for PvE is good, but I'd much prefer they don't do this. If making it attainable by remotely functioning humans means giving away more 4*s (or SETS OF THREE 4*s, come on) than they're ok with, introducing a 3* or better Superheroic Token or some such as the top award would be so much less sleazy. I used to fill up those penny falls machines (am I giving away how aged I am here?), and I can assure you, you're not winning the fiver.

Current runaway leader of my bracket's a rounded stack of maxed 2*s, just to add to the anecdote pile. Not much to speak of on the 3* front, but certainly not the nasty little scrubling making off into the night with their one red Daredevil that seems to be offending many so deeply. I have ten points, and am treasuring them all.

Edit: one possibility I'd discounted is that they did mean for people to be able to complete the progression. No point making Darker and Edgier Wolverine the new Ragnarok unless everyone has at least one of each color.
  • Amazing how people at the top have 5k points. Every fight for me gives me like 12 pts. Even if i get 500 pts a day, i don't know how in 2 days people have reached 5000 pts.

I'm one of them and it's blind luck; it glitched for a while and all battles were 20th level or lower. After they reset I haven't done anything other than the 4 lowest missions.

I opened the app today to collect my daily reward. I cannot beat any of the available missions in the heroic event. The ones I have completed are worth pittance. All of my opponents are level 200's and are pretty much unbeatable. I'm not playing a 30-45 minute match just to earn 80 points.

5K is quite doable. I currently cut back on my playing because I'm in no danger of being caught up by my competition and I have no illusion about hitting 50K, but if competition was harder I certainly can be pushing for 5K now.

That is exactly what happened to me...I feel a little dirty, but considering there is not a big range of prizes , it is not a huge deal.

I'm almost on 5k, but the high end missions keep scaling up.
The last mission atm is lvl 210's and has been since the start. They dropped to 190 at one point but after I did a few missions they scaled back up again. Most of my other missions haven't scaled down and just keep going up.
The only ones that have gone down are the first two missions which are lvls 12 and 17.
I'm honestly scared to play though as I know the more points I get the harder the levels will get and as they've said they've actively disabled tanking the levels are only going to get harder... and for what? A handful of points and a whole lot of frustration :/

Don't, even for a second. If nothing else we know with your track record that you would do well anyway.

Yeah, I'm at 5K and I don't think I'm doing THAT many missions. Maybe around 10-12 per refresh (except for the first time playing). I haven't done a mission for less than 100 points since my first run through, though...that just sounds cumbersome, since the difficulty is pretty similar throughout all of the missions when they are at 230ish.

yeah i couldn't have as much playtime as i would've liked this weekend (damned 'girlfriends') but if i focus the next couple of days 5k should be very doable. I'm currently at 3.1k.

Plenty of people aren't giving up, they couldn't do it if they wanted to. I'm not sure you're accounting for that, but otherwise, yeah, just skimming points from what's doable if you have incredible patience for entirely unentertaining grind should place you high. People were reporting whole brackets in TaT died until the last refresh, but I believe you were in the headcase bracket, and there were at least a couple others in mine I had to skim everything 500+ to stay up with. But I can't imagine many care about the difference high placement makes in this, and if they don't see themselves hitting 10k or don't want another Daredevil enough to suffer that much, there's no incentive to do anything past possibly 500 ISOs. Of course, you could grind the first repeatable Prologue mission 25 times faster. Which would be a viler experience is probably a matter of taste.

I am in 43rd place and have 630 points...The only way I'm getting to 10k is with a serious difficulty glitch. I wish I had the level 77 Daredevil for the Daredevil required missions, that alone would make them more feasible.
  • Yeah, level 77 daken vs level 30 daredevil? What the hell. I can't use my red power because daken overwrites it. Other powers are similarly useless EVEN with level 77 daredevil. Funny how a 2 star cover beats a 4 star cover.
  • I still have over powered lvl 230's includng half hammer boards. I died for real not tanking and despite several, loading events,(Restarting device, and loads on screen on opening app and accellarating) I assumed hose were bug fixes. even using boosts Yalena at 230ish gets 19 pink AP everytyme I try, 1 of 4 or so I get lucky.Even early Hammers are 170ish and above with a dead board that means i either spend 20 mins each try or lose 3 lives. Also drop rates are dramaticlly lower for prizes.I got hammer points earning 1 point with half prizes still unclaimed.Boss's seem maxed on difficulty and boards are so slow.
  • I can do these missions. Just absolutely 100% no desire to. I just log in to reclaim first.

Waiting for Thor tournament to wind down so I can scrap for a BWGS green cover.
  • Don't know how people beat these without a 2ap stun spidey. I have him and it's still a pain in the **** and not worth the grind.

I don't have one & without OBW, it is impossible.
