  • Lol I did it again, ignored a CD tile and it blew up my Spidey.

Oh well, just two grenadiers and Daredevil + BWGS, can easily take them out.
  • Sadly, I would not be surprised if D3's only takeaway from this event is "SPIDEY STUN LOCK OP NERF SPIDEY"
  • Fired up the game this morning, dropped from 5th to 11th, figured I'd play some missions since it looked like points had refreshed. Played one match got 20 ISO, looked at all the matches I can beat which I pretty much got all the big ISO awards from, noticed I needed to grind out about three hundred points for a Storm cover. Said nope I need more incentive than that to play the game.
  • I don't get it.
I have a great roster of 2 and 3 stars getting pretty high up in level and then this garbage pve event is released. My bracket contains all peeps with really **** 1 and 2 star rosters yet they are going to win 3 star chars because they have it easier. Haven't I earned the right to win more than a new player? They will have some new 3 star chars but they won't even be able to use them...

Isn't the point of slowly building up your team to keep winning higher and higher difficulty pve events? With the rosters I'm seeing they should be dominating the mid tier, gaining more 2 stars to build their roster and move themselves up to the lower upper tier to maybe win a single 3 star char. That is NOT what I'm seeing. I'm seeing a 2 star roster, max 40-50 winning a 4 star card and 3 3*s in a single event because of this stupid scaling.

I can't use a single high level character I have in this event. Utter garbage. An entire event.
Why did I even place first to win 3x daredevil he is terrible for these mobs.
My progression has ended at lvl 65 mobs because of the lack of my roster but apparently my rating is good enough to put me against these high level mobs - yes 230s waiting which I'll never even unlock using my other teammates that are level 20. They will stay level 20 too because they suck. So glad I sold wolverine and Thor and leveled up patch and punisher whom I cannot use.
  • I can't believe people are even focusing on resets in this one.

It would take all 8 or 12 hours or whatever just to finish every mission without wanting to kill yourself.

Heroic Mode is a total fail.
  • Even with a 3/5/5 spidey the matches take forever because nobody does any damage. Then when blues dry up, boom one shot whole team. Game just isn't fun anymore and I really really want it to be fun

Going to "try" the Thor event to try to get some widow covers, but for this event, I'm out
  • BTW...anyone getting anywhere to the 50, 000 progression reward is laughable
  • What i'd most like to see is the devs working weekends or starting week long events on a monday.

Yeah I'm going to join Thor this afternoon. I need two more BWGS green covers, and I'm getting one from Daily Rewards in 2 days so I need a top 5 finish in Thor.
  • Do not go to the Thor event, He is buffed so much that you need an health pack every 2 to 3 match (15k health, red does 2,5k, yellow nearly 2k, green 4k).

Except if you chain stun, (but needs ot be perfect for collecting stunning color or your stunner gets dead due to his relativelly low HP _ my spidey is still useless at one cover each)
  • Daredevil Trap Tiles and the AI
The AI plays differently when trap tiles are in play. It doesn't mean it can see trap tiles. It knows that a certain ability has been played and avoids making the match. Case in point: AI always prioritizes an environmental match-4. If the AI knows Radar Sense is in play, it won't make the environmental match-4. The same is true of Ambush and Equalizer.

    Match Rewards
What are the odds of getting an actual reward after a match? I had thought they were improved. I have a number of battles where I've earned 1/4 rewards. I've been earning a lot of the 20 ISO consolation prize. I'm not sure how I feel about 20 iso after a difficult fight with level 200+ enemies.

    Lack of Countdown Tile Management
There isn't much in the way of available characters with good countdown tile management. Although in an indirect manner, GSBW is very good against countdown tiles, but she needs a lot of AP. Invisible Woman also needs a fair amount of AP, but I can't find a way to make the best use of her abilities.

    Pheremone Rage
It's difficult to defend against the passive strike tiles without resorting to stunning Daken. Early cascading matches in a battle make Daken a very difficult opponent. It's difficult to recover.

  • Interestingly, for me, the levels are pretty average, and since the "fix" they only seem to be going up verrrry slowly as I win. I wonder if it's because of all the tanking I did during Thick as Thieves? Most of the missions are trivial except for a couple of the last ones in chains that are in the 130s and there's one 230.
  • In my experience the AI will still go for the Match 4s. They may just do another Match 4 first.
  • I don't like playing the PVP events but I've loved the PVE events (loved, past tense). I used to get so excited when a new one was posted, no matter what the prizes were because I loved the game and I loved playing the missions and not having to worry about someone taking away my shield points (like in PVP).

But then Thick As Thieves came along and every single one of my enemies was a "Deadly" level 230. I was able to scrape through a few missions, while still winning as much as I lost. But it just continued and started to wear on me. And then came that fateful day of "The Patch". With Thor and Wolverine nerfed (so stupid and unnecessary), I had no chance. I lost the next 11 fights in a row (not tanking, I don't believe in tanking, I just couldn't win) and gave up. If that was the way the game was going to be now, I was done. I didn't play the last few days of the TaT event after the patch and had thought about never playing again.

But then I came on here and there was talk that the Thick of Thieves "scaling" was an error and they were working on it. I had a glimmer of hope. There was even talk on here that they were going to run the event again with proper "scaling". The sun was starting to shine again! This game that I loved, that I've been playing everyday since October, that I had spent hundreds of dollars on, was going to go back to what it was when I loved it.

But then Oscorp Heroic started. And I'm once again faced with "Deadly" level 230 enemies. Only this time, the roster is truncated and I have absolutely NO SHOT of winning a single fight. I tried restarting the app and my tablet as suggested on here by Ice IX. No change.

Please go back to the way it was during the Punisher and Hulk Hunts. That was playable and lots of fun. Having one or two Impossible or Deadly missions at the end of side event was fine. I could try to beat them (and usually fail) or I could skip them and still have fun and get some good prizes. I could go on a long rant about the nerfing of characters after people have spent time and money on them, but honestly, I can deal with that if the PVE are playable. Right now, they are not and it's totally bumming me out.

I'm sure there are other similar threads about this and I'm sure that I'm not alone in feeling this way, but I had to say something. Please bring back the game that I loved.

I don't think it's worth thinking that the balancing is going to be fixed overnight - and I'd kind of be surprised if they sacrifice their weekend to fix it, too.

Just looks like it's time to take a break from MPQ for a week and then come back and see what's happening with it. It seems to be in very much a state of flux right now.
The state it's in rhymes with "flux", yeah.

About the weekend: I've worked through the night over less, never mind weekends. Got a day in lieu for it, mind - woo-hoo. This is, besides a tournament many can't or won't participate in, the only live content in the commercial product these people have staked their livelihoods on. No, grinding the Prologue for 20 ISO does not bleeding count.

I've never fully understood what it is about video games that the consumer-supplier relationship is slanted so much more like they're doing you a favor if they keep their product basically functioning. I guess it's only a video game so it doesn't really matter, doubly so if it's "free"?
  • My experience today is as follows: attempt a mission with a horrible underleveled party that's forced unto me because of event restrictions. Die. Wait 4h. Repeat x3.
I think the only thing I earned from this PvE so far is 6 anti-hammer boosters. It's obvious my roster is not capable of tackling this event at all, but kinda sad that I did have fun from previous events (not so much the last one), while this one I straight up can't play.

So after sleeping on it, some of what Developer Will said kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Basically he said they/HE is making the game they want and how they envision it.

What kind hear is they/HE don't really care what we want as long as they make what they want.

Yes they have made some changes that are OK, not great. Other changes have been horrible.

    Such a shame.

They really do act like they are doing us a favor fixing their game. Making some concessions go long way toward building a loyal player base.

Why do they have trivial, easy, normal, hard, deadly, impossible levels of difficulty if they don't really work.
Some how it works in their normal Pve prologue and chapters.

This is why I think the devs need to play the game for themselves to actually see what's going on.
  • What drives me crazy is how I am capable of doing these missions - it's mind-numbingly slow, however. People with lower levels, on the other hand, are able to do them far faster, simply because the enemy health pools are dramatically less! That's cool. Whatever. I'll just go play something else since being good at the game is being rewarded with less rewards. t(*_*t)
  • I was one of the lucky (maybe?) ones that had all trivial fights yesterday and so was able to get a ton of points. I wake up this morning and everything is super leveled to hell and gone. Oh well.

The thing is, if they wanted scaling difficulty for players they could just have it read roster levels and extrapolate from there. Hell, if they implemented something like that it would almost require you to keep stuff leveled together. I dunno. I know what the devs were trying to do here but making the event basically unplayable isn't good for business. I thought they would've discovered that after TaT but I guess they're slow learners.
