would love to see a youtube vid of a 1* team taking down big enchilada. that would be crazy. I can't believe that's very reliable/repeatable.

It would be a 20-30 minute video, longer if I didn't use boosts. (I never said it was a quick strategy.) (Actually, I would use the Critical Boosts if I had them, because working with Hawkeye's purple, they would do a fair amount of damage, especially if you made a Match-5 with a Critical.)
  • I have been able to complete two enchiladas in a row now using my 2* Thor, Storm, Original Black Widow team thanks to the advice here in this thread.

I would have tried with Magneto but I don't have very many covers for him for some reason, despite selling at least a dozen Thor and Ares covers!

OBW is amazing. In this morning's enchilada (with those darn tietsu ninjas) during the second wave, Storm was killed and OBW was down to 5 health. With her control powers, one good team up power, and some good luck, we came back and got our taco. Which was, of course, Ares. *sigh*
  • Okay, I have to admit I just beat it, and I barely took a hit!

Just beat the Enchilada for the first time and a lot of the advice in this thread helped a lot. Thanks all.
  • My OBW isn't a high enough to survive the Big Enchilada.

I've got Wolverine, Daken and Hawkeye championed. Hawkeye and Storm seem to make a powerful combo, but who to use for the third?

How do you do this if there's a character moving the board in wave 1 and 2
  • My go to team is OBW, Classic Storm, and Marvel Now Magneto.

If you want to see an example I have a video (It is not a perfect match but that is good because it shows that you do not have to be perfect to win it).

Every tim I play this, here is a hero in the first wave... Which means, like today, a powers up Luke cage thumps me. Every time I play TBE, there's a hero starting off... Which means my two star team gets destroyed by wave 1 or 2.

Since is seems to be e norm, is this even possible without a much more powerful team? I was using storm, Thor and OBW, each around level 100.

I finally repeatidlly do this now thor, obw, and storm 106, 107, 102 respectivly storm was 77 on my last post but the other 2 were championed 100, 96 but I always have to use 5 of each of the 3 10% boosts except today I needed 5 20% boosts + a red/yellow 10% wth. On my 4th try going after the horror than the other symbiote first as that got me past the first wave out of the first of the 3 tries. Wave 3 and defiantly 4 was easy but i had little ap from 2 and a ton from 3 saved up only had to do 1 turn in round 4 for 3 green to let off the final green from thor since it was closer and on the field.

Recently I have had a lot of good runs, even against those dreaded Symbiotes, with the following championed team:
    2 star.pngicon_thor.png
    2 star.pngicon_wolverine.png
    2 star.pngicon_daken.png

    Here's how it works:
icon_wolverine.png creates strike.png with his greenflag.png power, while dealing damage to the enemy. When I have enough reds, I use his redflag.png to take out heavy hitter enemies.
icon_daken.png uses his blueflag.png to attack the enemy, using the strike.png I created by matching greens and by using the above power
icon_thor.png uses his yellowflag.png to create even more greens. When I have enough greens stocked up, I use his greenflag.png to damage alle enemies.

Basically, Wolverine and Daken are the ones that take most of the damage and keep healing themselves while adding as much Strike tiles as possible. In the mean time Thor adds more greens with his yellow power and from time to time damages the entire enemy team with his green power.

It works surprisingly well and with that team I have virtually all colors covered.

I will give it another try, but having characters in Wave one firing off powers and making matches, I don't see how I can do this with two stars. I made it to wave two today befor Luke cage dropped his protect tile and punched me repeatedly into the next week.

EDIT: beat it for the first time right after posting using the team above. Really, it was a victory based on the dead pool team up that dropped a huge boosted whale bomb on Luke cage... That guy wouldn't have gone down otherwise. Got my first thre star from DDQ. Thanks!

Made my first attempt at the Big Enchilada today using lv. 78 Storm, lv. 50 Magneto, and lv. 40 Hawkeye (all 2*).

Good Lord, that team is no joke. I'm only about 60 days into MPQ, but those three characters - even at relatively low levels - took damage only once during the entire fight, and that was on a countdown tile which I allowed to expire in favor of making a purple match.

Are those three ever referred to as "Team Glass Cannon"? They should be. There was so much synergistic offensive output that the final wave of Nick Fury, IM40, and Grocket didn't stand a chance. Fury placed four trap tiles (even just one of them would have taken out any of my three characters) which were all disarmed by either MN Magneto's red or Storm's green.

I don't anticipate being able to participate in the Big Enchilada most of the time because I don't have a lot of 3* cards to get through the req'd character level before it, but it's hard to imagine a more potent 2* team.

Do you guys have any recommendations to make as far as leveling those three in relation to each other, or should I just keep feeding them equally?

Thanks for tolerating my noobish enthusiasm.

The way it is now with your levels Storm is likely tanking all 3 of her colors which is not good at all since she is such a glass cannon. Unfortunately she will almost always tank yellow and green but you do want to get someone high enough to tank blue for her. Mags is the key to this whole thing but without Storm you lose your most easily spammable offense, and a potent skill with a stun at that. My recommendation is to get Mags as high as he can go so he tanks blue. Another option would be to use Hawkeye as the tank as losing him isn't as crucial as losing one of the other two. By the time he gets knocked out, if he does, you are likely to have enough AP to be firing off skills ad nauseum.

Stochasticism, thank you for the helpful response. I was wondering about this very piece, and you've confirmed my suspicions. I have five unclaimed Storm covers, but will now hold off on getting her to level 94 and using them to make her my first championed character. There will be more of those covers. I'll sell them off and put the ISO into Maggie Neato and Hawk Guy. Thanks again!

Put any green or blue covers on her right away. It's worth getting those skills toward 5 covers as those are the critical skills in this team. Not levelling and selling off any unneeded covers sounds like a perfect plan though.

I just changed her from 4/5/4 to 5/5/3 after remembering that she recoups AP when using her green. Thanks!

Hi - I have posted this in a different topic previously, but its worth reposting:

Just wanted to say the best advice I saw (for a 2* roster like mine) in a separate thread around TBE is the 'thormneto' team - Thor, Magneto & Storm

Since I have used this trio, I havent missed out on the reward once. I did have to retry one time, and then had a nearly flawless second run against the exact same opponents (I think it was the double-level symbiote day recently)

The other advice I saw when using this trio is to get up to 20 greens, then use Storm's green once - from then on I use Thor's green, Magneto's pink to make blue's for Storm. Whenever possible in the earlier rounds try to collect matches instead of use powers, but always good to finish off the last baddy in each round with Thor's red so you get first go with the new round

    cheers

  • Some awesome tips in here. I have finally started winning the Big Enchilada sometimes with the advice here. One question I have though. Does the difficulty of the Big Enchilada scale up as your team levels up or is it the same for everyone? If that makes sense. Thanks.

    It's the same for everyone.
