I believe mob levels are adjusted by what lvls you use, but it's by % rather than raw lvl, so a lvl80 2-star Wolvie increases it more than a lvl80 3-star Patch.

I got 1st and never had to fight a lvl 230 mob even once the entire event.

Mid-level players clinging to their max 2-stars prolly suffered the most this event.

Right, I misspoke earlier. You could have played that very first mission on the first day of the tournament and still ended up in the top 10 if you walked away from the game and only came back this morning, because, counting the sub-events, you could make up at least 50k points if you started that far behind.

I think it's more your ranking. Being below 10th place is when the multiplier goes down from 10 i noticed. Seemed simple. So if you could edge as close as possible to 11th and then do the big 2k mission, far max effect.

I've got a 5/3/5 and a 3/5/4 (need 1 final yellow for alt). Creating lots of strike tiles for both teams is fun to do + has to be done carefully most of the time or you can take a real pounding if they get a cascade.

Did you finish 1st Fangel? Noticed you jumped into the lead in the last 10 minutes.

Felt like I was cruising, then the rubberbanding kicked in and I had to scramble for points at the death. Was good enough for top 2 finish in the end, thought I might have been pipped at the post. Sleep deprivation, suppose it is worth it lol. Not sure I'm keen on beating 500 odd Lv230 missions (rough estimate) over the space of 6 days again in a hurry...

Yep, that's how I feel too. I went with 5/3/5. Just make sure you either have no Pinks on the board or can get Pink combos right after using Beserker Rage. It actually adds a little more thought to using the character than the 2* Wolverine, which is nice.

Did he get added to your roster immediately? I completely forgot this and looked at the 2 DD covers in my cache and was surprised. But yeah, he was added to my roster lol.

Yea, I was confused. I did get all three. I can't think straight from playing all night. Wish they would run some lame tournament I don't care about this weekend instead of another cool PvE event. I need a break!

@gobstopper: that can be risky in large bracket events. You might join at the tail end of people entering the night prior, and so could do 3 refreshes.

I was hanging around 15-30 going through the last refresh cycle. Watched the last few hours, did a mission here and there to stay in the teens. Then paced the easiest NPC fights in the last hour and hit the 1500 bullseye/Maggiq one at the end. The first time bounced me from 15 to 5th, the second one registered as points, think I finished it within 10 seconds of the deadline. Don't know where I finished but got the top 10. Was playing in Jozier's bracket.

On a different note, finished playing while out at the pub. Have a buddy I talked into playing the game a week ago. He has a very low level team and hasn't played events. Told him he needs to hop into the event, at least do the subs for a chance at heroic tokens. So he gets 25th and two heroic tokens. He's showing me his phone on his first heroic token pull and it's a yellow Wolvie ****

You can actually get 4*'s on heroic tokens? I thought it was a myth.

Edit: wanted to note I didn't get the full 1500 for that battle, was down around 769 and 430 for my two fights.

I was keeping track of mission points and the scaling is always proportional. For example if one mission is base 100 and another is base 200, at max modifier you'd have 1000/2000. Now say you gained some points and the modifier becomes less, if you see the 100 base mission worth 570, then the 200 base mission is going to be worth 1140. Any discrepency is rounding issue or server lag. Since it's all proportional I'm pretty sure this implies the order does not matter. So, now that I have more time to think, this means you need to do the most time-consuming/difficult mission first when choosing which one to do at the 10X modifier. That is, say you noticed all your missions are worth 10X with 6 hours to go. You know they won't refresh again so you might as well use some of those points up. In this event, assuming you're not stuck with 'everyone is level 230', the most difficult main mission is likely Magneto + The Hood, followed by The Hood. So in retrospect I should have depleted the stacks for Business Partners first (this one almost caused a wipeout toward the end when I tried to do it in a hurry). Since Patch pretty much eats goons for breakfirst (they can't take advantage of Berserker Rage), you probably want to focus on all the villian battles first. In retrospect I also should've done the mandatory Storm team up battles earlier too, since she's definitely not as strong as your normal 3rd person and she's not even boosted.

Check your roster. . It appeared that way for me but purple was sitting in my open roster slot.

Meh, no DD for me. Although my patch is at 2/2/2 now so at least that improved from this event. Well I just hope that the numbers are tuned better next time so I actually have some desire to play more than the first 2 days of the event.

5/3/5 worked beautifully during this event. I like him so much I deleted the covers for the second one I was building . Strategy was just like you said. I used up pink or set up easy pink matches for right after I used the skill. Also tried to have the opponent stun locked. That is likely a short term strategy but will enjoy it while it is there.

EDIT - the alt build I wanted would have been 5/5/3. Them team him up with support chars to feed him tiles. I will say the yellow saved me when the rest of the team wiped and he had to finish on his own but most of the time he did not take much damage since he was not one of my higher levels.

Thought i had a shot at top 2, but in the last hours everyone came out of the wood work and i was lucky to finish in 8th. I'm burnt out after a million 230 matches. However now all the PvP fights seem a lot easier now. On another note, somebody seriously miscalculated the progression rewards. Guess they should have left them the way they were from the start, or added more over 20k points.

Yeah I was just following behind the leaders using main event missions. Only started the sub event in the final 10 minutes and cleared the final 5 missions once for close to 2k.

I'm surprised you went for the green xforce.

It was in my roster. It did not show when I went in through the hero screen though. The red one did. Odd.
