I didn't know there are veteran and noob brackets (so that's what the vet I kept seeing means ). Does this mean that someone who is new to the game should not pay attention to the numbers we see here and jump right in? Do we know what it takes to put someone in a noob bracket instead of a vet? In the Cyclops pve 2 weeks ago I entered the event 2 hours before the end and still managed to get the #10. Does this make me a noob or just lucky? Maybe it's because I had participated in almost 0 events since July.

You were probably placed in the noob bracket if you haven't played since July.

I don't consider myself a shark by any stretch of the imagination. I only have a handful on 3*. I just hate the PvE grind so I tend to enter on the 3rd or 4th day so I play less and still finish top 50-150. With the slices filling so slowly, the number of hungry sharks is probably very high so I'm not sure I'll even place once I enter.

Slice 1 is at 940. I think it's sped up a bit, but not positive. There is reasonable likelihood it'll fill tonight, while I'm asleep. Sub resets in about 13.5 hours, and if the timing is bad, people may be able to get into the next bracket before the end of the current sub before I can post that the bracket is full. I'll try and catch it, but given the timing, I can't promise. I've got to do a fasting blood test first thing tomorrow morning (routine), so I may not be super-functional tomorrow morning if the bracket fills then.

Edit: Checked: it's been about 9 per hour, which is faster. At that rate, about six hours from now, and I'll definitely be asleep then.
