Thanks for the thoughts and tips PeterGibbons316 and morph3us. This was my first time being in a veteran bracket, so it was a new experience. I feel fortunate to have placed top 20 given the competition.

I agree that bracket seeding is definitely based on performance in previous events and not on roster strength. I've taken care to not level any of my characters beyond 94, but I placed in the top 10 in the previous event. I think that was worthwhile though since my The Hood has 12 covers now, did a lot of work this event, and it seems like he can work with many different team compositions.

Knowing that I'm stuck with the veteran bracket now, I'll just join events at the beginning, choosing the slice for end time grinding convenience. Since top 10 is out of reach, I'll aim for top 20 or 50 depending on the event. I'm not sure when it'll be worthwhile to level my roster beyond 94, since I doubt even 3 fully covered 3*s will be competitive in anything. I guess I'm fully in the dreaded "transition" now.

I wasn't available to play the last refresh therefore I wasn't aiming for top 50 but rather top 150. However I found that I finished #52 just below you. Perhaps I should have ground a few more point before leaving

I played Prodigal Son. With hindsight I can say that right now is the best time to join the event.
