  • 3h timers feels like I was allowed out of prison to eat lobster and drink imperial stout and now I came back to prison food.
  • I might as well as post here as well.

Let's all overlook the fact that the developers have gone back to a 3 hour timer for this pve after having the 8 hour timer (they stated that players wanted) for a character that was in less demand than a new character. They obviously expect us to overlook their slight, so I'll be nice and roll with that punch to the gut.

If you are going to release "a lot" of 4*'s, you need to stop treating their PVE release like 4*'s when their release was very rare. If 4* is going to be the new 3*, then the rewards tier (at least for the release) should reflect this. Having an actual humane rewards tier (similar to the other 3* character releases) is not going to break the meta of the game. You are talking about one PVE. If you are going to ask players to grind for a week with a 3 hour refresh timer (oops forgot I was supposed to not notice that), you could at least not further penalize them with a trimmed down rewards tier.

Also, a 4* is supposed to be a great character. Supposedly, this is why Invisible Woman is due for a buff. Elektra and Starlord do not seem to be on the same tier. Simply slapping 4* on a 3* character is farce. You know you had the abilities to be a great 4* character, Luke Cage and Blade. They are great 3* whose powers if scaled to that of a 4* would be worthy of that title. If you are going to sell us on "a lot" of 4*'s, then they need to be genuine 4*'s. Don't slap some lipstick on Beast add another star and tell me that he's suddenly 4* material.

P.S. I lied. I noticed the 3 hour refresh timer.

How the heck do you guys beat the magneto node? The goon never drops tiles for me. How can I entice the AI to do so?

All I get it protect tiles thrown at me (so I deal no damage)

Never get enough blue to use Storms ability to stun magneto in time before he does something degenerate...

    Any advice?

    Assume a 2 - 3 * transitioner please. Current Magneto node level is 110

It nailed me big time, going to try Loki's Trickery to change their shield to my strike...

If a slap in the face was ever an accurate response, this is it
  • Wow... after the last event, where, I might add, I was "rewarded" for all my hard work by receiving five, FIVE 2* Human Torch covers in a ROW from tokens, I thought it couldn't possibly get worse. Then, this event.

What a **** game this has become. Thank you developers. Thanks for ruining what little fun I had in this game. Your obvious moneygrab is disgusting.

I read someone mention (jokingly, I think) about adjusting his alarm at night to hit the refreshes. I was wondering though, do people actually do this? To each their own, but for myself I can't imagine sacrificing a good night's sleep and the benefits that that provides to the rest of my life for a better score in MPQ.

Would it have been a non issue if D3 never considered changing refresh times, completely ignored calls for it, never tried it out, and left us to our own ends to deal with 2.5hr refreshes? Will be business as usual right, no biggie.

They have said upfront it is a trial phase, this event counts as well, as a comparison of statistics for them. I would suppose they are interested in observing how the different refresh rates affects player participation, and perhaps more importantly, player spending patterns. So think, how is the most effective way to send a clear feedback of what is preferred. Ranting is one way though.

refresh rate will have little affect on player participation for a new star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png character. If they wanted accurate data they would test 8 hour refresh for an old AND new character

*They have a years worth of data for short refresh, long duration, star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png releases
  • Super Fabulous star.pngstar.pngstar.png essential(who just happens to be vaulted this season; sorry noobs icon_e_confused.gif ), progs I don't care about, and an iffy(at best) new star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png as the top reward?

This(plus the triumphant<read: terrible> return of 3 hr refreshes), along with RW(questionable work schedule & super Saturday Date Nite in NYC!) events means I'll be lurking over on the Bracket board from Sunday on.

Sniping. Terrible work, but sometime, life only gives you one shot. none.png

Since they settled on 1000 for 4* in PvP events, I see no reason why they can't make a progression reward 4* for PvE as well. Now I know they're probably aiming for something like '500 HP + lots of playing = 4* progression' while PvE it'd be hard to enforce that, so let's not beat around the bush here. Just make it like 'you can buy 1 of this 4* cover for 500 HP if you had at least this many PvE points in this event'.

Interesting with the very limited number of 4* covers they are giving away here.

Top 10 is hit every refresh.

Top 50 means you really have to make an effort.

Reasonably regular play means you should be able to get you the 3*.

You are going to have to work out early on where you are aiming for.

I wonder if the devs think this is PvP where (in theory) the most developed rosters are getting the highest results (in general).

Have to second (or third? ) this one. For an "easy" node this has wiped 3 different teams. Can't get rid of cmags fast enough. So here is my question: how do the skrulls not rule the universe? Seriously. Think I'll just have to pass on that node forevermore.

They must have forgotten to shapeshift into Dons, since that node wouldn't be very hard without him.

    3 hour refresh.
    Top 50.
    New character.

I'm...I'm just too tired to frame an appropriate response to this ****. Help me out, forumites.
I'll refer back to a classic:

This pic needs to be bigger to fully express the immensity of the exasperation we feel.

On a separate note, i do like the new Star Lord abilities and i think it's decent 4* abilities. He increases/decreases AP requirements for enemies/allies and that can make a huge difference in while causing damage at end of CD.

I'd agree to a certain extent save for those times characters are paired with goons serving as AP pumps or "lucky" cascades.
Best example would be Rags being able to spam his powers every 3-4 turns instead of 2-3 depending on how the cascades fell (e.g. last event where I was hit with 6 cycles of Godlike Power/Thunderclap to take out a full health Squirrel Girl & having 3 of her protect tiles deployed when Daken was at full health and nearly down 2* Thor & OBW).

Now let's wait for a Gauntlet node featuring Star Lord and Rags/Daken/ or Venom. Won't that be FUN???

Wouldn't even come close to just being paired up with a standard goon that generates 2 AP of those colors every turn.
  • Can someone confirm that 3* Thor is boosted?
