Seems scaling is broken in the 2nd time slice......Simulator hard = level 40 star.pngstar.pngstar.pngicon_e_sad.gif

    Yes. Seeing the same here.
Not that I'm complaining: I'm only in it for the yellow Patch that's listed as the final progression. Placement be damned, I need to be able to grind those points and 'broken' (fixed?) scaling sure helps with that. icon_e_smile.gif
  • "Hard" = trivial, interesting.
Definitely only playing this for the Patch yellowflag.png
  • This seems like a step backwards - the subs ending at lousy times, the old refresh rates, etc. I'll do what I can, but this thing ends during the workweek, so that's going to limit me.

They have done a lot right recently, and I wish they'd have continued along that path. The last event was refreshing, in a lot of ways - it was new, introduced new goons, introduced a new mechanic, did the timing on subs right, etc. There were issues with it, of course, but most of those were technical and easily fixable. The Simulator should have its times changed from 60h/60h/60h to 60h/48h/48h, and it would be a great event.

I"ll also say this - I'd be okay with them running an occasional heroic as long as it met two conditions:
    1) Not for a new character
    2) lasted no longer than 60 h (and ideally 36 h)

Oh heck no, anyone else have zero scaling? I'm not grinding for 7 days without scaling. Sim is supposed to be about variety, not who can play every 2 hours and 25 minutes... Everyone is supposed to hit a brick wall at some point. Makes for a more leisurely 7 days.
  • The shortest PVEs are Deadpool vs MPQ, Heroic Juggs, and Heroic Venom. The last time they released a new character on a short PVE was through Heroic Jugg, if I'm not mistaken, only to be met with much backlash and abuse. And Heroics have not appeared since then, and we even got the new PVE content as promised. Basically we got what we asked for.

With the "norm" of a new character every two PVEs, for two short PVEs that means a new guy every 8 days? For long PVEs it means a new guy every 2 weeks. Personally I'd prefer longer PVEs with several subs, enough time and opportunity to earn the HP for the roster slot for the new guy, than be swarmed with ultra short turnover rates with no HP to keep up.

Is it that hard for them to tweak the sub times for past events? Also, they could still keep a new character coming out every two weeks (if they must) if they wanted to by having roughly three events every two weeks instead of two.

You got your wish; scaling was fixed.
Well, there go my chances of getting my 5th yellow for Patch...

Shame, really. I was enjoying the lack of scaling.
It's more fun that way. If they'd just half scaled it it woulda been great. Level 120s for the normal fights are frustrating.

    ^ This.
    I won't even bother anymore.
This ridiculous scaling is sending me only one clear message: Demiurge doesn't want me to play.

Fine by me, actually. That means a whole week of better games to play now that I'm off the PvE grinding chain and a whole week in which they'll:
    a) miss my business
    b) see my business go to their competitor (I wonder what Marvel Heroes is doing this week...)
    c) run the risk of losing me to another time-sink game (Again: I wonder what Marvel Heroes is doing this week...)

What that does not mean is me buying covers, boosts or health-packs to stay on this insane hamsterwheel of theirs.

Now multiply that times a few thousand and it starts to show just how bad a business decision this kind of panicked knob-turning adjustment is.

I was on my second clear as the scaling kicked in. First of all its nice for a 2* player to get half of his roster blocked on the non essential node 8 (**Daken, GSBW and **Thor). The AI also pulled off two insane cascades followed by a snipershot. That was the end für my stormneto combo. On back to back tries. I love it.

Oops, I was just asking for some scaling, not this...it was more that I didn't want the uber grinders to come out for 4hor/new character. I'm not a huge fan of it being more anyone with the time being able to bulldoze the nodes for placement. Some mix of skill and time seems more fair. I can't speak for everyone but I try not to plan my days around this game except on weekends. icon_e_smile.gif
  • From 40 to 120 seems a high steep for me and this is only the 1st simulator. I don't want to see how high the 3rd will go.

If it's like other recent events, scaling will come and go and never be consistent through out the event.

Can I borrow Patch from someone in my alliance to participate in the essentials?
Unfortunately, no. But the essentials will change with each subevent. The other ones should be Mystique and Sentry, the other boosted 3* characters.

That's fine. I don't really want Luke Cage so ill just skip this one and the next since he will be the next essential. with a 46 man roster im pretty likely to have the essential that will be awarded in the Luke Cage event.

Thanks for the 2 weeks off.
  • Yikes! I started 9 pm last night. At this moment I'm on cusp of not being able to take on most of the nodes in easy.
I'm beginning to transition into 3* team and managed to finish the personal goals for last two events.
Really wanted the yellowflag.png Patch. Seeming less likely to get him if this is the norm for this event.

Essentials are even tough. I have Patch but no greenflag.png cover. Takes so long to generate the red strike.
