Has anyone seen rubber banding yet?

The Hood/yellow feeding goon nodes have to be the most frustrating nodes ever. is this the reason for changing Hood's yellow? So that they could take advantage of another cheap move like getting AP from goons to fuel a 4k to 5k plus damage in 2 to 3moves? All hidden under the pretense of balancing the game. I wont be surprised to see this type of combination in future nodes and events. The last Ares/Muscle node in TaT shld have raised a warning flag in my head about Hood

Most games actually increase the enjoyment factor while increasing difficulty. This game just screws you over the longer you play it from nerfing characters to cheap moves like this. Now i know the meaning of 'ragequit'

Err the rubber band kicked in some 9 hours back.

the only way I have been able to win the hood nodes is by boosting blue and having groot tanking.for CStorm and pray you get.windstorm off ridiculously brutal and.not fun at all I believe they have finally killed this game smh
  • I hope Hood nodes don't scale too bad....the powered up characters for this event are so irrelevant, sentry is nerfed...right now my Hulk is able to show Hood some "Twin Pistols" of his own(if he survives)

It is an interesting choice of characters - thankfully though we're not limited to them à la heroics.

Only in 2* land, so my enemies aren't at mental levels. Mawkeye is my go-to guy at the mo, with MNMags feeding speedshot.

    2* -> 3* transitioning.

Yeah; this is totally unwinnable. **** this event, and **** the sadist 'game designer' that came up with these node pairings.

Hey Demiurge! What's the god-****-damned use of new story content if half your userbase is not going to be able to god-****-damned play it!!!

Tried a few combinations for the Hood(+2 goons) and the Jug (+2 goons) node, but it turns out mnMags and cStorm are still my best option with +3 blue/purple and +3 all boosts. Especially the Jugg node, stunning him on turn 2 is so useful.
  • I think as mentioned above WindStormFest is a good strategy(big dmg to hood, if he doesn't die, stuns him for a while).

I've been having alot of luck with Daken + 2*Wolv/Patch and/or Hulk - Daken/Wolv have enough speed to MAYBE kill hood before twin pistols, hulk (might?) live thru twin pistols and give you daken/patch ammo to finish off Hood. I assume if your CMarv is buff enough, she could perform similarly. Have to use 1-2 health packs, but whatever works, right?

Haven't had too much trouble w/ Jugg - he's fairly low level compared to say, heroic jugg etc.

I'm in a unique position where my 2*Wolv can tank for my falcon, as well - that works out okay(Falcon blue/yellow are great for this stuff)

Yeah haven't had much luck at all with MNMag/cStorm combo as Hood seems to get his pistols off by his turn 2.
    2* Daken or LDaken?

EDIT: Looks like I have to boost in order for MNMag/cStorm to work their magic. Don't really like doing that but if it works - it works.

I dunno, even with ap all boosts getting mnmags/cstorm off on turn 2, i'm not sure you can count on the board to be nice enough to be able to ht it the 3-4 times to kill hood, alone, much less controlling the countdowns

I'm not having all that much trouble with this one - I've lost a character a number of times but overall I'm doing well. I've got just-under-maxxed 3* roster though - my go to have been Daken and Falcon for the essentials, add X-Force (same level at 5/3/2,) for the non-essentials and it cleans up well.

Hood's new TP is definitely nastier in the hands of the computer, though - fortunately they usually try to spam muscle's threaten tiles instead and I can down the Hood before he gets that off.

I have had a little luck with boosting green +6 then making a green match then hitting hood with Ares then him or groot eats the pistols then you cam hopefully finish off hood before he uses it again very tough fight and that's assuming your hood node is around 110 or under like mine is right now maybe I have died enough.that it won't go up before sub ends

Yeah, that doesn't actually slow TP down ab appreciable amount. It costs 6, but they get 4 a turn, do in reality it only costs them 2 ap. And then there's 2k+ match damage every turn
  • Trying again after 2 months off; still getting wrecked by nonsensical scaling. Apparently level 200+ is totally cool for a roster that has 2 characters above 100, neither of them boosted for the event.

Glad to see I was justified in ditching this POS game.

this is going to be a complete bloodbath for 4Thor, less than 700 points separate 1-5 in my main bracket

It depends on when you started the event, starting now with like 2 hours to go in the sub just means you have massive community scaling on all of your nodes. So it's not too unreasonable to expect level 200+ stuff.
