  • I think Heroic Jugg/Venom/Unstable Isotope is a way for D3 to remind us how bad things used to be and we should be thankful of what we have. That said I already know this and could really do without the reminder.

What if you get the Blob to stand in the way. Then sneak in The Simulator.

Normally, I'd be really pissed off about this too, but after reading up on her ability set, I'm having a hard time shifting out of apathy. I can't think of any scenario that would make me excited to get those abilities into play. She'll probably just eventually become another fully-covered level 40 3*

I couldn't agree more. She seems not much different than Blade or any of the other recent add-ons who sit at the bottom of my bench collecting covers (Colossus, Doc Ock, Blade, Beast, She Hulk.. etc... etc) But I'm sure I'll end up opening up a spot for her and for Lady Thor soon.. I haven't really figured out why I keep all these max covered level 40 3*'s but one day maybe I'll figure it out..

P.S. WE ALL HATE HEROICS, ESPECIALLY JUGGERNAUT AND VENOM. PLEASE DO SOME OTHER PVE OPTION!!!!!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think Colossus is a great investment of ISO, a far better thank than most. Sure you're not going to run him instead of Sentry bombing, or Xforce or the LThor, or whatever your favorite go to is, but I think he's useful and some original thought went into his abilities, plus it's fun to toss other charecters at people, and if you roll teh dice, you get a free COTS or Whales, ect, ect without using the AP for one, so you cast it twice.

Echoing everyone else. Heroic:Venom and Heroic: Juggernaut suck. They suck rocks. They suck rocks so big that the Rocky Mountains are just plain not big enough for them to suck.

Seriously. Rubberbanding off the wall. Can't play in the last half-hour? Too bad.

    Scrap 'em or add subs.

    Good point above.

While people may have issue with Heroics in general (personally, I don't love them, but I don't hate them as much as other seem to - they obviously exist for some gameplay reason, I think, I mean, really, I have no clue), we come back to the much broader issue, again, of PvE as a whole - structure, rubberbanding, if you start too early you HAVE to play ALL the time to keep up, the STUPID if you miss the last X hours well that was a week of your life you wasted, and so on.

What a shame I suspect the time event ending trial thing will only be for PvP. FAR more useful thing to happen for PvE.

I don't hate Heroic Venom/Juggernaut per se. But as events that introduce the new character? They are just horrible.

I also suspect this request has come too late (even if in the theoretically tiny chance that they would do it anyway).

It's late on the 5th now in the US, probably already loaded onto their servers ready to trigger sometime the following morning (or however it works) and will tie in to the end of the season / season break. It's unlikely that they would also have a suitable planned replacement in time, ready to go. They'll want something up rather than nothing and this is something. One PvP (that is a freaking tired format) isn't going to keep people around.

Actually.......... I reckon we might get the PvP timed trial in the season break.

If that's so, it's set and forget PvE.

But as a statement, the original post is a powerful one.

Yeah it's definitely way too late to plan a new event, but hopefully the message would be sent. It would be great if we could all boycott the event but with a new character on the line, no one would want to.

Now I think of it, it's likely that it's not the new character that comes first and then they choose the method of delivery, but rather, that they wanted to run the heroic Juggs and giving out a new character is the only way of making people play it. Guess heroics give record levels of HP purchases for some reason?

    This is an interesting point.

Expanding on it... I would imagine they plan at least a season of events ahead at a time, so it's likely Heroic Juggs has been on the burner for well over a month now, maybe closer to two.

From what I recall about their character development, it's a bit more all over the place and it's done when it's done. At the end of the day, it probably doesn't make a huge amount of difference to them which character they give out (though obviously a brand new one will attract everyone).

Their budgeting must rely decently on new characters and PvE is how they push them out.

So maybe.... Mystique was ready to go and Heroic Juggs was the next PvE and there you have it. Maybe there is nothing more to it than that.

As Colognoisseur noted earlier, in a recent interview, D3 completely misnamed the PVE that debuted Ms. Marvel.

So, no, deciding the event first, then fitting a new character reward to the event, is not likely at all.

One ray of hope is in the version of this article which announced 2* Ms. Marvel it was supposed to be The Hunt and it turned out to be Venom Heroic. Maybe this time it will go the other way and we The Simulator instead.
It has been a while since we had a simulator

Just read how Mystique would be attained. Oh goody...a new character first unlocked in a Heroic mode. That's a first.

Can we not...you know...play a new story? I know these events must be tricky to put together but when was the last time they actually updated the story? Does Deadpool count for that? It felt like a side story, kinda. Sentry, then?
Since then, characters are simply introduced in Heroic mode, and most of them are such a painful, annoying grind to get through and I quickly just groan, sigh and give up when the levels go up and up and up and it becomes a massive chore to just beat *one* node, never mind dedicate an hour to do a complete run, then run away and lick my wounds for 3 hours before coming back to do it all over again.

If they can't change the PvP, make all characters usable
That's all I ask at least. Still hate heroic juggernaut with a burning passion.

Just adding my voice to the ignored chorus. The heroics without sub events are not fun. Not even a little.
