    Seriously, this has gone on long enough. If it's not a cheat then they won't mind when everyone figures out a way to do it, right!?

    Put Yama into everyone's nodes and we'll call it even.

    I have seen this, or a Yama in the game twice over the past 2 weeks and beat him/her both times. Not sure if its the same one, but names like yama82 cant be that common. However, my MMR is not as high most veteran players. I use a certain strategy that keeps it low, and NO, it is NOT tanking. I do tank every now and again, but not often. I call it the "Lazy mans tank" strategy icon_lol.gif . Anyone that's been playing for a while will probably know about it. But anywhoooo, back to the topic, could be that (s)he has a low enough MMR, that the only ones that can see him/her are players with rosters too weak to take him/her on.

    On the other hand, the "unable to retaliate " is a bit odd. icon_e_confused.gif And beating low value opponents would take a long time to reach 1k+ scores.

    If yama82 could see someone like ZenMonkey, he would be visible to other people in the same MMR range. I have seen ZenMonkey numerous times, but never yama82.

    something has to be done about this guy I had him in my shard last night and no shield no.que nothing friggin ridiculous!!

    Working to get my screenshots uploaded ... but this guy was first in my bracket. While everyone else struggled to maintain around 900, this guy was at 1009 for over 6 hours unshielded. I was able to queue up every single person in the top 10 except for him. I think everyone in the bracket should have their reward level moved up one rank.

    It absolute baffles me that they have not put out a response to this. Its game breaking. But I guess we should be resigned to that given that the Hood/Sentry change was rolled out and no post indicating when it would happen (Ok, they did say around Thanksgiving.......). And they were doing so well with communication recently.

    Devs answered to this thread before which means they are aware of this person and probably aware of how he is doing what he is doing. If they are not doing anything about it, there is no cheating. I don't know why people keep posting in this thread. There is no reason to post unless that person replies to you or explains his methods. Does anyone remember a certain person making a thread about certain people cheating and how it turned out in the end? Yeah, Sentry and Hood got nerfed.

    We have been talking about this guy in alliance chat for a few weeks. I doubt that this is the cause, but it is in the realm of possibility that he is shielding but the shield does not appear to everyone else???? However, does not explain not showing for retaliations. One person (or two as i think someone else was noticed like this) is not going to break the system, but if the method of not appearing in nodes becomes wide spread it would be a problem.

    Doesn't matter if it's just one person - it's a matter of principle. In a competitive game where people spend vast amounts of time, money, and effort, people want fairness. And the "claim" that he isn't shielding or appearing in others' nodes is based on the simple fact that his score never goes down. If he is actually appearing in nodes as you suggest, his scores would actually decrease from time to time.

    Maybe you (not directed to only you) should do something else instead of stalking yama all the time. Go out, read a book, watch a movie, play some guitar. I dunno. You have a point though. I'm not a competitive player, so I'm not the one to talk on this.

    2nd place in my season bracket, JBK, only has one character, a Lvl15 Daken, and has over 10k points. I hope that it's just a fluke that I can't see their full roster

    Is that yama82..shielded???

    Don't know if this means he's stopped cheating, only cheat intermittently, or found a new way to cheat, but it is interesting to see.

    JBK was a top scorer but he decided to stop playing the game so that's why his roster is funky.

    I seem to "suffer" from the same bug as yama because I am not being attacked or appear as a retaliation target (unless every player in MPQ during the last weeks skips retaliation targets against a weaker team worth 25+ points)
    No I am not yama and no this is not my MPQ username.

    The situation developed like that:
    I think it started about the same time as this thread in the week 10/20-10/26. I was attacked normally in the beginning of that week but not in the end.
    It took me a while to realise it because I tanked hard during the lightning rounds. I let about 20 of my heroes be beaten twice in lightning round (even once or twice to seed teams). I also usually stay between 400 and 700 points to remain invisible from players north of the wall.

    Here are some things I figured out about the bug:
    - it happens in all PvP events without exceptions
    - shielding and breaking the shield does not fix the bug
    - shielding at the end of a PvP and letting the shield run out does not fix the bug
    - different seasons do not fix it

    My best theory how it happened is the following:
    I run the MPQ steam client in offline mode meaning updates get installed once I log in to steam. Usually I get an error that I can not log in to MPQ as a sign that there is a new update.
    During that week the R63 update was released. My guess is that I still had an R62 client when shielding in that mid week PvP which caused the problem.

    I'm sure there are other threads that I should post these videos to but this is the most recent thread discussing Yama82 so I wanted to add some further proof that there is something nefarious about Yama's gameplay.

    I was attacked multiple times by Yama82 during the Most Wanted PvP and not once was he/she on any of my nodes for retaliation. I skipped through thousands of ISO to find him/her but I wasn't able to queue up Yama82's team. I decided to remain unshielded at a high enough score so that I would be an appealing target.

    So with the bait set I just sat back and cleared the PVE sub. Occasionally I would jump back into PvP to fend off the late climbing vultures as seen in this video, but that was expected since I was sitting unshielded. Now, the points are pretty low because I was in the #2 end time.... this shard-bracket-experiment-disaster could be something that's great for the game (only saying that because I want to believe steps are being made to improve gameplay) but I think it needs a lot of work to get there.

    Eventually I was attacked again by Yama82's team but this time I managed to document it. In the first video I show the notification that Yama82 attacked me and also another player named Telliot. As soon as I closed that window I was notified of another attack by a player named Nipp. So I retaliated to get my points back and I was attacked again by Yama82 and I don't think Telliott was happy with my retaliation because he/she decided to attack me again.

    So, NRG521 is doing the same thing in my bracket, again. Currently, he's in the #1 spot, but appears unsheilded at 1622.

    Interesting that NRG521 and Yama82 are both in the Lost Legion Alliance. So clearly, these two are sharing information about how to cheat. What more proof do you need?

    I sent in a ticket, but I doubt it will matter. Crazy that this continues.

    I wish in the video you had done some random skips as well, just to preclude the possibility that Yama82 was in your retal list somewhere. I've on occasion had to skip 4-5 times on a white node after a retal notice before I saw the retal.

    It's a fair statement, but he got notice of another retaliation with Yama - that one showed up. He was notified of another retaliation after Yama - that one showed up. Those two facts rule out server lag in my mind.
