Any chance you're able to say how many will be available? Would be nice to have the full 48 hour slate, but would be more nice just to know and be able to plan for it a little, especially if there aren't going to be many.

LOL. That's why I asked about the number of placement rewards. A 20 person bracket with only 1st place reward is going to be BRUTAL! Most likely will be brutal anyway with Anniversary tokens, but either way.......

Seed teams are pretty well a fact of life in the game as the server has to match you up against *someone* in the time it takes for people to start entering the Tourney. So yes, expect to see Pyromantic, Batt1eAnge1, and WannaBSkrull hanging around.

It's impossible to not have seed teams. Otherwise, the first person to enter would fight... no one.

The current events had 4 total progression tokens that are 'lost.' The lightning rounds, just with Anniversary tokens replacing Standards, will offer considerably more than that.
To interpret this as anything but a win for the player base is ridiculous.

Yes, the big boys are going to get more than the new players, but it's not really wrong to reward those that have been at this since the beginning a little more than the rest of us.

I'm quite happy with this response. Now about fixing my RNG....

It's pretty strange to me that you're making up for the lack of anniversary tokens in pve with a pvp event. I'm at a point where I have a chance at placing ok in LRs but this wasn't the case a couple weeks ago. Anyone in 2* hell is going to miss out on tokens completely.

Yes this is huge. I'm on an emotional roller coaster right now. Was super excited all weekend, depressed Sunday night thinking I had no hope of pulling Devil Dino, to ecstatic again.

Progression rewards. You don't have to place at all.

Depends on the reward structure, in part. However, 20-man brackets means there's going to be a host of 2* players that find themselves competing with equal or below players, if luck is on their side.

Moral

Everyone gets the freebie Goddess. Nobody gets a 4* better than everyone else.

Might not be balanced for the transition guys, but it's more balanced than any event they've played in to date.

Then again, might be more achievable given the insane competition there will be to get into the top 5, there will probably be more high value targets.

So, um, how much will people be spending on shields in these LRs???

Top 5 out of 20 isn't bad though, unless you're stuck with 6 X-Men or the like in your shards.
