This event has shown me one thing.

    Modern Hawkeye is awesome.
(in heroics when the 3*s are garbage.)

Yeah, I was thinking how, whenever they do a Lazy Hawkeye, he's going to be a monster.

    I concur.
Especially if the RNG gifts you with a match 5 or two at the board opening.

you can test him out in Balance of Power, he'll be buffed to 270.

At least I can't find any crazies who are grinding the Daken nodes. I haven't touched anything past The New Face of War (which I have cleared exactly once and will not attempt again) and I'm still competing for first.
  • I'm just here to say that I regret selling off most of the characters in this Heroic. I've learned my lesson and I'll be trying to rebuild them as they come.

Holy rubberbanding batman... My top 10 is all fairly close with only 1k between people. People must have caught up when rbing started being massive earlier today. Shame this ends at 5am for me so I'll definitely drop out of top 10 with this level of grinding by others in my bracket.
  • Everyone in my alliance has a 3/5/5 icon_captainamerica.png so we've been taking it easy on this one. As a result, with 8 hours to go, I just joined, and there are still 7 of us who haven't started.

My bracket at 4 PM EST has 78 players in it. There's possibly sharding, but it's also a possibility that this could be the last bracket.

Edit: A little less than an hour later and we're at 171.
Also - did a full clear and got 16k points for it. Rubberband is pretty solid if all you want is progressions. I'd imagine I'll finish them on my next clear.
  • I started clearing the easy track, and then working on essential nodes until they wiped me or came close, and that's where I'd leave off each time. Looks like I can get at least a icon_captainamerica.pngblueflag.png out of it this way, and easily passed the progression reward already. Hoping I don't get dropped out of that blue card range during the last couple hours when I can't play.
  • Maxed Thor/GSBW lvl 63/hawkeye lvl 1 was my team here.

Pushed to the 3k mark to get hawkeye cover for that 3rd character in my roster because I didn't have any other ones to play in this event.

Pushed smart and avoided nodes that featured 2 heroes or more. Did all essential every time and took down all goon nodes and the ones with daken/2 goons and hawkeye/2 goons. If I could go for more I would do it.

I played minimally to medium and didn't hit many refreshes in a row. I knew EU times would screw me up so I made peace with T150. Pushed to #20 and went to sleep. Luckily, I was #88 in the morning to snatch that LCap away along with a second one from alliance. Shame I could not play the last minutes, I would have had more than 9 covers now on my LCap, maybe even 12 and he would be my first 3* to max. Meh, patience young Skywalker!

I did not have GSBW at all so I was grinding what nodes I could and hit The New Face of War once.
Managed to get all the progression rewards - finally got GSBW - with a little more than 6 hours left.
Hit all the nodes that I could but wiped on the "Easy" Essential node with no health packs left so I spent 200 HP for health packs icon_redface.gif
Fought up to #113 and hoped that I did enough to stay in the top 150 as real life beckoned.
Came back and found that I had finished #146 to get my first icon_captainamerica.pngblueflag.png who already had 3 redflag.png

After consistently murderizing the essential nodes for the previous 24 hours, I finally wiped on one with ten minutes left to go in the event and sitting on a 300 point lead in my bracket. I ended up spending HP on health for the first time to get back in. I'm not exactly thrilled about that, but 150 HP for a Fury cover is a decent trade.
