hows everyone doing?

it seems I can only take down bp/im40/goon nodes with my lvl 153 sentry. all my nodes are now in the 170-200 range. any other good pairings just looking for board luck and OBW staying alive?

I've been using patch ldaken and dr oct with great success on essential nodes. Hood cmags and xforce on goon nodes. A variety of teams on hero nodes.

Doing well in the LA sub but it still chews through my health packs.
Made the mistake of trying to tackle the Wakanda sub and promptly wiped at the first essential node despite it showing Normal for me.
Even with boosted to 130, his blue is essentially useless. Tried to have him tank blue for OBW and 2* Daken and that was no bueno.
Other nodes in the same sub have scaled to Deadly overnight so I guess I'm just going to have to ignore this node for the most part.

My Doc is 170, 4/1/2 and only servers the purpose of tanking for OBW in those Wakanda nodes. His strike tiles are decent once Patch has dropped his strike tiles. I was glad I got that 4th blue from one of the event pack prizes, but I am beginning to think I would prefer him as 3/5/5. In practice, I never use that blue as it is to darn expensive. While the green is not so awesome either, I think it will be a more consistant performer. It isn't like I will be using the Doc besides when the game forces me.

I find myself dropping Doc's blue a turn or two after Berserker Rage - tends to clean up some of the enemy purple that inevitably shows up in a hard to match area.

Not sure how some of the top people are doing but 105k is seeming pretty far off right now. Only about halfway there and that's after a pretty herculean grind on my part. Thankfully others in my subs have been doing a good job of kicking me out of the top 50 in the last hour, so I don't have to feel rewarded for my efforts.

Wakanda is a joke. That thing was already all hard nodes when I started - which was right after it started - and they have all scaled to "hahaha" level pretty rapidly. Seems like it would have been a good source of points except that you can't actually get any. Doing well in the LA sub, though.

To give some idea, the #1 person in my main is at 131181, 50k points clear of #2 at 88499. Personally am at 72k atm (without Ock, so I'm doing pretty well), but I don't even have a maxed 2* yet, so the scaling has been relatively kind so far (as in, not all of the nodes in Wakanda are impossible for me to even attempt). Think the guy in first had 105k when I checked yesterday too - scary!

Think I joined the subs too early this time around (i.e. right when it opened or pretty quickly after it opened as opposed to an hour later), last few I had easy top 20s, this time I think I'll struggle for top 100 in LA and top 50 in Wakanda (though I'm not expecting too much without doing any essentials).

Reading the story so far thread, there probably should have been more nodes in LA that didn't appear since there isn't a meter thingy this time around, unhelpful for me since it means people who can do essentials have a greater advantage than in Wakanda!

I dunno, I've had a lot of fun playing Doc Ock/Daken/Falcon. Especially when fighting Maggia or Lieutenant/Commanders, where matching a yellow countdown tile will create the attack tile before Inspiration triggers.

So has anyone worked out where we need to be pointwise by the end of these subs to comfortably get to Dr Oct progression reward without too much more effort? Sumilea?

On the main events tab you get a little bar over each event that says "Players: X" - on steam at least. That's how I can see my LA sub is full but Wakanda is only halfway there.

And on a sidenote: holy tinykitty L200+ Pantherslaps are brutal. I thought I had "Know Your Enemy" well under control but BP got a bit more black than Hood could leech away and it was game over

anyone else notice the sub events ended about 10 minutes early on the timer there? was jockying for first in my bracket and boom it just ended out of nowhere

I decided to take locked's advice and play PvP instead, and just ignored the hard bracket and it's actually pretty fun, other than that I'm in #402 overall right now and have no chance of getting anything interesting. Who knows, maybe I'll drop my PvE scaling on time for the anniversary event.

Playing the normal nodes made me realize this must be what most transition or even 3* guys are playing relatively speaking, because it's actually pretty fun when you don't have to worry about enemy that start at level 200+ on top of all their nasty tricks.

Check your clock perhaps? Mine ended exactly at midnight as it was supposed to.

So on the one hand I've gotten a ridiculous number of 3* covers from my token pulls. On the other hand, it's been Doom, Loki, Spider-Man, IM40 (with my fourth Recharge cover, no less...pass!) and finally Patch. One of these things is not like the others...
