Do you dare share how many people actually made the 50k level the first time around?
70, with LordKiseiju being the lowest with exactly 50K.
  • Well, that's 20 more than I'd guessed!

PS - thanks for sharing the info IceIX.
  • I tried cleaning up NEVADA sub event,

as of now I have 72 points, and #17 on my bracket... got all the rewards and no more points are popping up for me.

10 hrs to go before they finish.. hopefully they can refresh so I can continue with the climb to the top 4 icon_e_smile.gif

Haven't done the Canada event though, just went with one round on all the missions and that's it. Currently at 484.

I'm guessing rubberbanding won't happen at this event though as much as before since it started. icon_e_smile.gif

The Nevada missions are worth 70 points with no rubberband (since quite a few guys are tied at exactly 70 and then 140 when they refresh in my bracket), so there is rubberbanding, just not very much at this point due to the extremely low total points.
  • The rubber-banding will begin in earnest in the next sub-event, when there will be real point gaps between those who cleared the first subs 3 times, while most others only clear it twice. I'm planning on clearing it a 3rd time tomorrow, if only to help get the ball rolling and push the community towards 50K faster so I don't have to see a million posts about red Pun at the end of this one. We can't have it both ways - progression rewards in these things require more of us to be min/max grinders to allow a larger number of us (via rubberbanding) to hit them.

If you're not at least sometimes helping to pull the cart (and I know many here do), then I have less sympathy when you don't hit every little reward in an event like this that depends on a small number of grinders to get rewards to rubberbanders. Especially now that it's been run through once and we know the structure. Props to the OCDers in this community - I appreciate all the extra rewards you've gotten me.
  • Just as well I finished top 300 in the first Hulk event as all Sub Events in this one finish at about 4am for me.
No last minute grinding to ensure points.
Will stick with it but top 1500 in this one is looking like a long shot.
  • You know I hate to say it but after grinding out points all through Christmas I'm just not feeling grinding 3 lvl 100 plus for 3-4 points. I'm going to ride it out collect tokens but as for grinding better luck to you guys how missed out

Yeah I'm in the same boat. No desire to grind over and over again. Rather grab a token here and there, and use rubberbanding for overall placement.
  • yeah, it's getting pretty dull grinding over and over again for measly 1 pts... though I just do it now during my spare time and get the rewards and all icon_e_smile.gif

I got a cap ap and a wolvie cover from the tokens i got from yesterday's stuff... not really happy about that since i maxed both of them already icon_e_sad.gif

Anyway, hoping for better points, cuz the way things are going we're really not hitting 50k.
  • I was set to grind it out but after the 49450 points in the last time I just can't bring myself to do it again. 8 days and missed by 500 points I can accept that once but twice I think not

I agree...i missed out by 390 points last time, wanna try again but seeing the point values highest only being 16 pts is making it hard to stay on it...

It's 9 am for me, but yeah, that's annoyingly early to wake up during a Holliday break, especially since it takes at least a hour to do full depletions
  • Not gonna bother grinding too hard. My punisher has 4 red covers already so the desire to grind to 50K is not there. Gonna hope rubberbanding can push me into the top 300.
  • I think that's the problem right there. Rubber banding. Everyone knows you don't have to play until the last few hours sure the progress rewards are blown but you can easy get top 1500 on very little total play as long as the rubber effect stays the events just aren't that competive sure top 300gets hairy toward the end

I HATE RUBBER BANDING POINTS it takes out the competiveness and rewards slackers what is this preK T-ball Everyone gets a most improved player award
  • Yeah, damn that rubber banding. Stupid slackers that go to work and jack off all day instead of grinding. /s

Well, I ground up to number 2 on one of the sets, but took too long so I'm not going to get a 3rd refresh for the other. Hopefully this will build up a bit of a cushion, so I can slack and rubberband once we hit 50M and the rubberbanding starts kicking into overdrive

Doesn't that make it more sad that you didn't get the "most improved" award (punisher)? Rubberbanding did nothing but make it easier for that # to be reached...so I am not sure about your argument on that (not to infer rubberbanding is perfect). Also, you are probably thinking "participating reward" because most improved is an actual reward given out with meaning behind it. Similar to comeback player reward in many sports.

    @finwe

An eye for an eye and jacking off all day makes the whole world blind.

I think I burnt out on this, squeezing in a 3rd depletion right before the rollover. I didn't even finish the 2nd set, much less deplete it.

And despite that, my rank is not falling enough to get good rubberbanding going, I've only gone down like 30 places to 56

Totally unnecessary to grind so much to finish high in the standings.

...yeah probably. I was one of the, what, 70? who got the punisher progression, and I didn't even fully deplete more than once half the days
