Another hulk event?!?!

I'm just doing whatever and ignoring rewards. Scrw it. Lol. I like basically everything about them doing the event back to back EXCEPT having to unlock hulk again. Seems like they should have maybe done a shortened re-release where he was already caught? Or just removed the bar and and left packs alone (including the end of last event.) glad they keep us overloaded on stuff to do though. Lots of events all the time. Love it. Now just triple character release speed and fix/remove rubber banding and I'll spend $$ again. Haha. Happy hunting0

It was like that the first time as well. Points skyrocketed after the hulk was unlocked.0 -
I finished in the top spot in the first event...I honestly do not know how or why I ended up in 1st, and decently ahead of the pack.... as soon as points refreshed, I did the missions. I know on Christmas day I made use of rubberbanding, because my point values were super high for missions. I was in top 300 most of the event, and soon as the final missions hit, I went to 1st and was amazed I stayed there. I wish I could give some magical secret, because it sucks alot of people were just shy of the 50k mark.0

That's so funny because my experience was totally different. I usually did my missions when my rank was between 2-3000. I spent very little time in the top 300. I generally got my 500 iso awards then stopped, with little extra grinding unless a mission was obviously worth a ton of points (like some of the punisher ones).0 -
Right now missions are paying out 2 points for me in Nevada.
And I am 4246 overall
1273 in Nevada
Not ranked in Canada (impossible mission = 4 points)
How can this be??0 -
I'm just surprised IceIX hasn't said anything about it in the News and Announcements section. It seems very strange...0

From memory the first round of sub events were really a grindfest to get max points.
Rubber banding didn't kick in until either part way through the sub event or the second sub event.0 -
KholdStare88 wrote:So what exactly makes the points go up? I'm confused.
The base points are low for the first few sub missions, and nothing is going to change that.
Rubber banding kicks in once you start getting some gap between people who have played a lot and people who have not -- which, again, isn't likely to happen for the first couple of sub missions -- both because there's not that many points and because pretty much everyone does all the missions.
Once Hulk was unlocked the base points became larger, as did the challenges -- you started seeing some missions that were really difficult for mid level players; the last few days had missions that were difficult even for some high level players. Add to that the people who hadn't played at all or people missing mission cycles and rubber banding started kicking in, to the point where for the last sub mission I placed at #1203 in one (and that was expending every single point available to me) -- even though I ended the event right around #100.
And realize that there's no guarantee that any more people will get to 50k this time. Playing extra isn't going to help unless the top player plays extra... if #1 ends up just over 50k again then expect only 50 people to make Punisher. Just like the first time.0 -
Yeah, if anything...I'd think we are even less likely to hit 50K this time around.
I don't think people will be nearly as motivated to grind it out again so soon.0 -
This is hilarious...the leader has 59 points.
It's going to be a struggle just to get to 1000 at this rate.0 -

You may well be right, but there also seems to be a group of people determined to grind every sub-event 2-3 times. It may not take a huge number of people.0 -

Right now I'm determined simply because I didn't have a whole lot of time during the first go round. But after grinding them all to zero for the first of a supposed three times my interest is already dwindling0 -
Me too. I am just seeing it as a way to grab some iso to level up some cats. Not that exciting.
I wish they would add a new chapter to the prologue. It's nice to play the game at your own pace sometimes.0 -

As far as we know, the plan is to introduce new content as events like this. Of course, they could always adapt it for that sort of use afterward.0 -

You didn't play the first two sub missions the first time around, did you?
The scoring is currently EXACTLY the same as it was then. Check the first page or two of the humongous thread on Hulk scoring.0 -
Ah ok. I was figuring it was a case of just scaling everything down.
But it's more like...and they're off!0 -

Do you dare share how many people actually made the 50k level the first time around?0 -
