Interesting enough, i think you can also do this mission with a good amount of planning beforehand. I ran a team of Thor lvl 32, Storm classic lvl 26 and hawkeye classic lvl 23 without any boosts. I always keep the green matches around and try to prepare the board with the rest of my moves. And if there spawns a green one in an ugly position, i have hawkeyes two skills to take care of it (helps if both skills are maxed). The other two characters deal damage, don't prioritize yellow (just take it) and purple (let thor take it for the passice trigger) powers of the enemy. And if worst comes to worst, just leave the missioin before a green tile blows up. I have to say it's not the thing to make lots and lots of red ISO but it keeps you in the top 50 without having crazy dmg or 3 star chars

The last mission should be more difficult for every time you win. It should not be a contest of who has more time but who has a better team comp and tactics.

I've not had single downed character, you'd don't necessarily have to get lucky. It's like any battle, you should only take it on if you have the firepower to deal with it. Relying on luck will get you into trouble.

I don't think you're really discussing this in the same spirit we are, The Ladder. Yes, if you only fight battles you are assured to win then you don't need luck but if you're fighting harder opponents then luck can make or break you. If you prefer to play it safe, hey more power to you if that's where you derive your fun from but I'd guess that most people like adding a little risk to their fights and pushing their characters and their luck a bit.

Fair comment. I tend to derive that kind of challenge from battles with the big hitters in PvP. To me, events like this one are all about keeping your own big guns in tact, for as long as possible to rack up the red iso's.

I think there's a twisted kind of fun to be had from totally dominating opponents, I guess I am sadistic like that!

I can see that but unfortunately, I don't have a strong enough team to take on the real big hitters in most of the tournaments just yet.

Yeah that's how I thought it was going to be, too but that would mean that it would only be winnable only by payers so both ways have their trade-offs.

at 4 points per win, that's 180 wins. assuming each fight was 3 minutes (they have lots of health), that's 9 hours.

This game is pure amazing. I play almost all the time. Only one tier one prize and the rest tier 2. Currently stuck due to tutorial bug. Can't wait to get into the PvE event action again. I see no problem playing this game for 9 hours. I hope we get raid bosses in the future that you pretty much have to sacrifice entire teams to.

yeah i'm only aiming for a top 15 finish since grinding so many times for iso 20 rewards can take its toll. especially since sometimes i get unlucky and a flamebreath wipes out my crew

I was thinking top 15, but I said that for the 1* tournament and ended up getting hooked into a battle for top 2. I nearly had to eat my words earlier, got a tricky layout and had one of my characters down to a couple of hundred hp - fortunately staved off defeat. Now I see why people may find that mission tough!

Hey I was aiming for the top 3, but the 500 coins difference from the top 15 isn't worth it...I think I will just stick to the top 15 now

OK I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I was able to defeat the lvl 40 HAMMER enemies and just have the one top level mission left. I'm in a 75 way tie for 175th place with 140 I so crystals. The last mission yields 20 more so I could get 160 until the missions reset. I'm in the same bracket with The Ladder and For grim and they are both over 200 Iso. That being the case I have to assume the timing on the device is being adjusted. I'm not judging, just wanted to make sure there wasnt a way to get more crystals that I was missing.

I've yet to do it, but it's been said that once you beat that last mission, you can repeat it over and over for 4 iso a pop. Not cheating.

yes you can repeat it, on my bracket there is a dude SinX with 420 red iso...he has repeated the fight a loooot of times...I was #1 when I went to sleep, I saw SinX was climbing fast...but never thought he would ge to 400!!
