    Does this event have subs? I'm thinking of waiting to join since I only need the placement rewards.

    With thor at 256 any team with falcon goes out the window because why would you go falcon awolvie when you can thor it up. The team is probably just gonna be thor obw hulk: hulk tanks black and you put him in front as a meatbag for thor. Falcon seems completely useless unless you dont have a levelled thor but do have a levelled falcon, in which case a wolvie falcon is probably your best bet. Not to mention that with thor / obw which is clearly the beat comp youre using purple for recon so all falcon will do is redwing.

    Totally agree.

    My personal problem is that my Hulk is underleveled and buffed OBW tanks black for him. My fully covered Hawkeye is sitting at level 15. So my choices are Wolvie, IM35, Storm and Falcon. Wolvie and IM35 have no abilities that I'd want to use instead of Thor. I suppose Storm has black but that's it. I guess that means Thor/OBW/Falcon for nodes with goons and Thor/OBW/Storm for non-goon nodes.

    Hulk would only get black if you use Thor since Thor is major buffed.

    Wolverine 2* is probably as good as it gets, since I just noticed that the bad guys are never included in the limited heroic roster so Falcan can never be paired with Daken. Punisher is probably better than Wolverine, but Wolverine can place a lot of strike tiles if you don't need to spend red actively, like the case in this setup where you don't have anything immediately interesting to use red on.

    I'm guessing Thor + Falcon + OBW would probably be best because Falcon can get rid of special tiles and strike tiles. That's not much of a use but it's better than the other characters that'd just be wasting AP for the colors they overlap with Thor.

    If it wasn't for the Colossus, I wouldn't even bother playing this event. I guess this is how they get people to play heroics. Well I'm joining tomorrow then or Sunday for a gamble.

    Thor + OBW seem kinda obvious if you have them maxed. Third is one of the following:

    - Storm has an actual black skill you can use but its not that great imo.

    - Hulk can occasionally tank black and take those head-butts but if you don't have him levelled OBW will take black making Hulk obsolete.

    - Wolverine has arguably better red than thor (at 3 covers) and can occasionally use his green when necessary

    - Falcon can use his blue passive against goons

    Hard to say which is the best but I doubt it will matter much.

    that is a no brainer, it has to be wolverine simply nothing compares to the true heal ability which save you health packs. I love it every time any true healers are buffed. And often I find he has the best red ability lurking for the right timing unless your team has a main red.

    Plus he can use his green to stop Moonstone's Gravity Warp from doing damage (I assume we will be fighting Dark Avengers eleventy billion times in this).

    The alternative is Hawkeye if you have a bunch of Thunder Strike covers, because bringing out nine new green tiles will usually give you a critical or two to make Speed Shot happen. Countdown tiles suck against Juggs, though, so even then he's situational.

    Astonishing Wolvie tanks nothing when paired with a maxed Thor and OBW. The only time he'll ever be attacked is during goon fights with AOE attacks.

    Hulk would tank black + env tiles. I think vudu3 is probably right: Thor/OBW/Falcon for goons, Thor/OBW/Hulk otherwise. Getting anger procs off of headbutts seems a lot more useful than redwing in fights involving juggs, since those are more focused around bursting down juggs. OBW blue is probably enough to deal with goons in those fights.

    Damn, I forgot that little issue. Hm. So pretty much every third wheel is situational only.

    Hawkeye: Speed Shot when not facing Juggs, if you have the LThor yellow covers to proc it.

    Wolverine: Feral Claw for facing Moonstone.

    Falcon: Redwing for goons.

    Hulk: Aaaaaaaanger? Maybe? Or if you have a really underleveled Lthor and overleveled Hulk?

    Iron Man M35: Armored Assault can also block Gravity Warp damage, otherwise he can work as a generic filler char you won't get broken up about losing if he dies somehow.

    Modern Storm: Hailstorm is the only black spender in this event, but it'll get wiped out quickly against Juggs.

    I'm debating leveling up my Modern Hawkeye. He's 70th level right now, and that would help spread the damage around a bit at least.
