How to file a ticket for this awful 3* tourney?

I think you post 20 messages on this forum whining about it and then the magical Ticket Fairy comes down and soothes your soul.
Or you could just hit the little mail symbol in the corner of your game.0 -
Same way you'd file one for a bug. I'm not sure exactly what you'll be expecting to get out of a ticket that we aren't already reading about on the forums and such as it is, but if it makes you feel better to have one of our CS people see it there too, feel free. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12740

Why? Tourney scoring was the same for everybody. It's unfortunate you were attacked a few times. It stinks...but what would you be expecting?0 -

Bugs forum, sticky'd post. Use the email address. Don't bother doing it via in game.
I am so incredibly po'ed about this. Stupidly so, I know, but given that we've been complaining about The Hood for 4 or 5 weeks now, we were told that it was messed up but low priority, and then told that nothing had changed in scoring recently? Yeah. Bull puckey.0 -

Ok wise guy why do you think I asked? I clicked that thing and it didn't work.0 -

No, there are some people that have 800 points. I could not clear 300 with 115 rag / 105 mag / 141 spidey. Does that sound normal to you?0 -

Thanks. I wish there could be some transparency why some people sailed with 800 points and not getting hit, whereas I got hit maybe 50 times in the last hour for -25 each. Tickets could help.0 -

No, this tourney had extreme point losses. If i have 300 points, and I get hit by a guy with 300 points, I should NOT be losing 30 points...but I was...over and over again...0 -

ELO rating works on games where the total chance of winning is 100%. That is if A's chance of beating you is X% then your chance of beating A is (100-X)%. But in MPQ it's not unusual to have both players have near 100% chance to beat each other, which means nobody would ever accumulate any points beyond roughly when you can get from the guys with 0 points (because they don't have any more points to lose so the points you get there is created out of thin air). This is why in other tournaments there are also points created out of thin air, e.g. you lose 20 but the attacker gained 30. Do this enough times and both of your points will move up because there are extra points created for just playing.
By the way you're supposed to lose 25 points against anyone with the same score as you by the way the system is designed.0 -
I'm also not saying that we won't look into things regardless. But if there are real, specific, provable issues (IE, you have screens or something that that we don't have to spend a ton of time trolling specific accounts looking for outliers), it would be very helpful.0

I think me and Spoit and Zathrus wouldnt go around crying about something that is not there. Thought we would have earned some credibility. Too bad I didn't save screenshots, I was too busy retaliating to stay above 300 points (yes, 300).0

I did seem to be losing faaaar more points from being attacked than in regular pvp tourneys. Pretty sure I wasn't just imagining it.0

No, something changed. All previous tournaments (excepting Hood Lightning Round) they would naturally center around 700-800 points -- below that level if you got hit by an equally pointed opponent you would lose fewer points than they gained; above that point you lost the same number of points as they gained.
This tournament you lost all the points they gained, no matter what your score was.
Case in point -- I was around 550 points (I think). I had to do some stuff, come back to a lovely screen (yes, I have a screenshot available):
-116 points
common (381) -28
CrookedDong (341) -33
Kiransalee (395) -32
mages (543) -23
All of this causes the point totals to fluctuate wildly, making the final few minutes a roulette wheel instead of an actual leaderboard. Add on to all of this the defense team bug where who is on defense isn't the same as the team that you actually played and it's just broken.
Edit: The above was with about 25 minutes left. But it happened to me several more times, including in the last 5 minutes -- which is what killed me. I was at #1 for most of the tourney until then. I'm not asking to be made #1. Heck, I'll even cool with no compensation. But I do want an acknowledgement that this was broken and will be fixed sooner rather than later. It's not fun.0 -

Gave up on 800 when I lost 44 points from one loss as I should have crossed 800. Only got hit 5 times today but the hits hurt big. Towards the end I had the same 6 people over and over again so looks like I was stuck at the top of a lower MMR.0 -

Sure. With this scoring system, that's like 10 attacks from 600 points originally? That's a reasonable number of people attacking. You probably beat more than 10 people on your way there. If you're stuck in an MMR bubble with a few other high level players, then the chances are even better - the levels of your team don't matter at that point. People with 800+ (and I doubt very many people were actually at 800 to finish out) likely found themselves in an easier MMR bubble, where they were unlikely to be attacked.
I'd agree that this tournament had messed up scoring that meant placing well was stupid/difficult/lucky, but I don't think your case was anything special. Unfortunate, sure.0 -
I think the concern is more that people are purposely tanking their scores so they can get match with easier opponents. That seems like cheating to me but hey what do I know0
