Oh I wish mine where that low It looks like the 120K is not too unreasonable to get. Need another about 7K from these subs to get me to where I think I should be to be on target for beast cover.0 -

I wish mine were that low as well. Without a single fully covered 3* it is getting rough.
So, Sumilea, what is this magic target number you speak of?0 -
I really like this event. I can get through Easy simple enough (maybe use up 2 health packs). Top 5 after only 2 clears. Hard is hard certainly with useless 2 cover Beast required. That Deadpool node is insane. But somehow I ended up with a 5K lead over 2nd place after 2 clears on the sub. I like the rubberbanding - and I only need a Green LT cover so really no pressure once scaling gets out of hand. Teams on Easy are in the 70s; Hard are in the 120s.0

I wish they'd stop teaming up that damn dinosaur with minions that feed him green.0

Does it seem to anyone else like the rb got cranked up last night compared to what it was when the sub started?0

Though that said I'm not seeing too much movement in the main bracket either, and these missions aren't really that hard outside of Devil Dino.
Ahh... That would explain why my position in both main and sub brackets have been very stagnant even when I've left subs unattended for a full day. I've stayed top30 with very little effort. Weird. I guess vets are just going to start late.
I am a little bit worried about reaching that 120k progression reward, though. Node points are not exactly skyrocketing so far...
You need 30K points before this ends to have a realistic shot at 120K, because 30/40/50K is the most likely projection of point totals based on past history. I have 30K points so it's definitely reachable, though the number I can hit is usually much higher than what other people can. But there are still 12 hours to go so I'm guessing there would be at least another 5000 points added to the pool, but it's hard to tell how easy it'd be to rubberband to 30K because the nodes in this round are quite difficult. The prospect of catapulting to 30K will go way down if R60 goes in before this round ends.0 -
im curious as why the rubberband to 30k will go away if R60 hits? is every single person running Patch/Cmag?0

Your chance of winning these games will go down significantly with a massively weakened Magneto and a weaker Daken. Rubberband doesn't do you any good if you can't win.0 -

Da~ken, Da~ken♪ He's our man!
If he can't do it...
Sentry can! (ノ☆_☆)/( ((≪☆★KABOOM!!★☆≫)) )0 -
I have completely given up on getting the Beast reward (joined yesterday at about 8PM, currently up to 18K with no hope of finishing more than half the Hard nodes) but I seem to have gotten thrown into a bracket where I have lots of company in my suckitude - that 18K is good for 33rd overall, and I'm first in my Normal sub. Hell, I'll take that.
(Plus I managed to pull off a last-man-standing Best There Is to win a 2000-point Hard node, and that was sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet)0 -
btw for those who knows the math, comparing to the last PvE, are the rubberband effect similar?0

Phantron loves to make Mags the PvE boogeyman. The last event showed that Patch is more than enough to win just about anything if you know what you're doing. Although if the Devs are reading this nerfing Mags will totally stop the grinders and the rubberbanders it has absolutely nothing to do with the true-healing characters that can effectively fight forever.0 -

Seems to me like you need to grind to get 1-2 but just by rubberbanding you can get top 10 if not top 5 comfortably.
Which really is the way it should be.0 -
So, I wanted to get some thoughts from people about this event. I'm enjoying it better than most because healthpacks and diversity of roster are the limiting factors for a decent score rather than the time needed every 2.5 hours to keep up with the grinders. Even they can't do full clears every 2.5hrs without buying ample number of healthpacks. The Venom Heroic tried my patience as you had to do at least a full clear on the same missions for 3 days each time you played to even have a chance at Beast. By the end, it was miserable to keep pace. With this one, I played through each side once and hit 3-4 high valued or Beast nodes when I can which maintains my main and sub rank pretty well.
Given the limited number of healthpacks in one sitting, I've had to swap out my team almost each match to be able to clear some of them by the time I get to the normal side. Maybe it's the changing up rosters each match, maybe its that I don't necessarily need to be around my tablet every 2.5 hours but it's been one of the better events of late - dare I say it is even "working as intended?"
I wanted to see what others have thought of it.0 -

The good thing about simulator is you need roster diversity. The bad thing about the simulator is if you have the essential character after the 1st clear you can just do those nodes and still place really high. In previous simulators I have just done the essential nodes and placed top 10 on the Hard. I definatly like point system better compared to the crazy rubberbanding though. I will also say this if the player base is going through health packs now what is it going to be like at the end of the event. When you do the 1st node of a sub and it is deadly that will not be fun. I think the Dev's want the players to use Sentry in PVE instead of Sentry hopping in PVP.0 -
It's the most challenging event I've seen in the couple of months I've been playing, that's for sure. (I was around for the July simulator but such a complete n00b that I didn't know how to start the thing - I saw the fight against level 100 characters and ran back to the Prologue, not realizing that loaner characters existed) I like that the strong rubberband effect and small sub brackets mean progress is limited by the strength of your roster rather than your willingness to grind. And the fights are creatively cruel.
On the other hand, I'm not wild about the powered-up roster. Using this to debut Beast means we have to do the most high-value missions with a character who, no matter how big his level boost is, still has at most four covers so far. More likely three or two. And I'm personally bitter because I don't use any of the other boosted characters either, although I'm not exactly in the majority for not using Ares and not having picked up a Sentry yet. (Soon! Just 200 more points in the season!)0
