We have deep rosters and enjoy the challenge of working out the best combination of characters to take out a node. Granted, if you don't have Sentry, Daken, Beast and even Ares well levelled you're going to have a bad time.
I know this is hardly consolation, but Simulator runs often and you'll have a better Roster each time it does. And it really does need a deep roster, because I am losing often too. Particularly when I unthinkingly use the buffed characters. The right combo is key.

It´s really hard for me to understand, because i just feel cheated. My roster isnt all that impressive with 4 3star guys each at lvl 127, Hulk, Spiderman, Patch and Magneto. Sentry and Daken each have 3 covers, so i cant use them. Ares, Bullseye and the usual 2 star guys are my only choice.

I have no 3*s that are viable options. I've found that 2* Ares and Magneto are more than enough to clear the essentials in Normal, and one of the essentials in hard, before requiring some serious healing. Switch Ares with 2* Thor when he's able to be used, and it's been enough to keep me top 3 in Normal, and top 10 in hard. Literally haven't been using anyone else (well, Beast, obviously - but with 1 cover, I'm not really counting him, heh). This one isn't all that difficult, imo.
mnMags and cStorm will take out any of the nodes even on hard if you're semi-lucky with the purples and know who to stun when.

Have the subs always had 200 people in them?

    Damn plate spinning!

I spent so much time getting reamed by Devil Dino and his buddies trying to hold onto a top 10 spot in the hard node (he ate Daken, Sentry, Mags, Hood, Patch and Beast at least twice) I didn't get a chance to get back to normal - and finished 11th icon_evil.gif

I almost wiped health packs but I managed to hold on to Top 2 in my brackets. With 45k overall, looks like the progression reward will be achievable this time around (most grinders fell just short on the last run of Simulator).
  • Pulled my first Fury cover. Better late than never. I should probably just pretend the event is over and I got first place and not stress over three more days of wiping.

It will be easy the points increased by 50% this time instead of the usual 25%. Even if you scored zero these subs you should still make it if the next set also have a 50% increase.

Sentry and Daken each have 3 covers, so i cant use them. Ares, Bullseye and the usual 2 star guys are my only choice. Even while using boosts and healthpacks i get wiped out all the time and pretty much in the cheapest way possible. Almost every time it´s 1 enemy round that causes 6k damage by making it rain the same pieces over and over. It´s not a mistake that i make but something i can´t predict. How much money does this game demand just so it starts to be fun? Is it only possible to win anything in an event when you maxed out every character with money anyways? Besides buying more tinykitty i don´t see a way to be successful in this game.

I don't even look at rewards - I just love the simulator because it forces me to think out of the box and do character combos I usually never do because I always just go to my min max guys.

For me: Other stuff is to earn rewards- Simulator is to play a fun game
  • 5 tokens 4 2*s and 1 IM40 red...so happy i joined late and didnt grind hard.

Anyone else's Bag-tokens manage to Bag anything better than a Bag[InsertCleverNicknameHere]? Post and brag away.

...oh, me? No biggie. Just Sentry Green #3. icon_mrgreen.gif

Top 2 in both, net result 1500 ISO. That's time well spent.

Wolveroach is happy as he's got a 3* Daken. With a single cover, and that's black, but at least levelled up he can tank Green for 2* Thor and do some healing.

Woo hoo, just got my first Beast cover (yellow) from PvP, just in time for this event to get into the top tiers of the subs.

    Sigh.
  • I had stuff went up to level 300 toward the end (that's all 3 guys). I'm wondering if there's some kind of exponential increase in scaling toward the top end of points, because it looks like everything increased by 100 levels in the last 12 hours.

I saw everything actually go down.

I would chalk that up to massive number of players dragging their feet until the last 12 hours of the sub to join the event and then mad Sentry bombing and Patchneto-ing (because the patch didn't happen today) all of the nodes. Also, it is known that scaling increases are percentage based. Once past about 150 or so, the level increases on nodes per scaling go vertical rather quickly. Scaling ticks are normally 5% of a node's levels at a time. If a node is already at 200, it does not take very many 5% increases to reach 300, unfortunately.

From what range? I'm wondering if scaling is somehow influenced by where you stand overall in the sub, like if you're top of the sub then you get way higher scaling compared to normal so it'd go down if you are no longer at the top of the sub. That wouldn't be a bad idea since whoever is in the lead should have the hardest enemies.

I spent most of the last 5 hrs in first place in both.

Started PVE around midnight CET after finishing PVP, out of health packs and with dead Sentry and Daken.
Had an incredibly hard time beating the hard sub, went through my whole roster, one dead guy after every match.
Did one full clear, no repeats, finished with 5 hours to go.
Fully expected to get trampled into the dirt by the usual Americans doing more than one clear in the final hours.
Woke up to a T10 placement. That was... unexpected. Guess "hard" was really hard, for everyone lol.

Probably not going to reach the Beast progression with my lowly 22k after the first set of subs but whatever, I'll live.
  • Hard mode is really hard!!!

Guess lv300+ Thor will come up later today.........how can you beat enemies like that or something like lv200+ deadpool*3????

Got first place in the last normal mode though and 20th in hard mode icon_e_wink.gif

Hood helps a lot with managing high level Thor. If you've got the roster, support him with something like 3* cap and im40 to get the stun train rolling. if you don't have the roster, best bet is using team ups - see if you can get widow's sting from your alliance, and stock up a few. Thor can't hurt you while he's stunned.
