    It'll be replaced by a new set of (nearly identical) tokens that have a larger boost for Sentry in the 10/42-packs at the start of the third subs.

    That Thor node is crazy. I've been using Daken - Hood - Torch to good effect, but I either escape with very little damage or he mops the floor with me.

    But his 395-level team-ups look very, very nice next to my 390+ Hulk team ups and my Devil Dino teamups. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Scrambling to catch up after being away all day.

    Sim 3 and 4 on Normal Mode are going to be brutal once they transition over the Hard side for Round 3.

    The 3 Wolv node will be bad, but Sim 4, With X-Force being fed 2 Green + 1 Black every turn is going to be absolutely brutal once the R60 patch arrives. A 5 Green X-Force should be a rather effective counter to World Rupture.

    I'm guessing that X-Force + goons node was intended to be there with R60 already live. I bet D3 is scrambling to get the patch released before the transition to Simulator Hard, lest we have an easy time getting that ISO reward

    Put Punisher or Daken (if black is his strongest color) and it's no worse than any other node. The distribution of 6 (Unstable Blast)/8 (X Force)/10 (Rocket) green AP on the moves makes it quite hard for X Force to get priority on his move.

    Daken cmags punisher crushes 395 thor: 5 red means that you only need to deal like 10-12k hp, and pun has good strike tile outlets in green/black, + daken tanks 2 of his colors to boot.

    Same, I use 3/5/5 Punisher and Hood/oBW to deal with lvl 395 Thor + one powerful TU is more than enough to finish him faster, not necessary to win. He never gets a power off against double steal, and downing him with 8k health left is very satisfying.

    I use Ares/Hood/LCap for level 395 Thor. I fling all the frisbees, and maybe finish with a mega onslaught using all the green AP denied from him. Cap's protect tile is also useful to prevent too much tile match damage.

    for the 395 thor i've used obw/patch/lazycap pretty effectively. my cap is underleveled so obw gets blues. i prioritize reds, blues and purples. if thor gets a few yellows and greens its alright cause he'll be shield stunned and aggressive reconned before getting any ability off. repeat until patch has enough ap to shred thor to pieces. patch and cap are usually still at full health with obw barely surviving depending on what TU the AI uses

    A 395 Thor with an Aggressive Recon team up is just not fair.

    Well, my Thor's only up to 385 (I'm still 2* with lvl 94 highest roster), but I managed to down him with wolvie, mn mags and OBW. I did have to take in stockpile + blue/purple and a Retribution TU, but a last-standing OBW fired off Retribution for the win. It could easily have gone the other way though, as he was nearly charged to strike one more time when OBW got a lucky extra turn cascade.

    395 thor goes down to Patchneto with boosted green and blue. I also threw some critical boosts in because I have 30 and with the Cmags nerf comming I might as well use some.

    Are people having trouble with 395 Thor? He is easily downed with Patch,cStorm and OBW.

    My bigger concern is that those essential Nodes go through my Healthpacks like it's nothing. Having more than 1 Cover for Laken would probably help.

    Heh, I've had the opposite problem. Thor gives me fits. Guess I'll try this combination.

    Ares-OBW and a 1/1/2 Daken have been enough to get through the essentials (with high level COTS and WHALES! as TU backups if things go south).

    Hmmm...so a lot of players are going to blow past that 120k progression reward then. Leaders are up around 110k+ as it is.

    You only need 32K in the first sub even if the subs only increased by 25% per sub to hit 120K.

    Leader in mine was at 119k.

    On another note, does anyone know what the simulator tokens default to when they "expire"? Will sentry stay as the featured 3* or is there a chance it'll go back to beast? I guess I might just save them for a month or two until they run it again.

    I had the good fortune of starting PVE this morning with a fresh bracket--I entered in 125th place. The second sub ended a half hour ago and the bracket still only has 318 people in it.

    If anyone is thinking of starting late to go for the blue Fury cover I'd suggest you wait until my bracket fills up.

    I'm currently in first with 62K points and you'd never have a chance of catching up since you'd be behind a sub. I'll post here again if/when my sub finally fills.

    EDIT--4 hours have passed and there are still only 420 people in my bracket. It may never fill up at this rate.
