Why not take MBW for the solo Thor fight? I sold mine a while ago to save money on roster expansion but Widow's Sting would be very useful against a single hero.0

Got first place in the last normal mode though and 20th in hard mode
For Lv375 Thor I've had fun taking down that 20k+ health using Maxed Patch, Hood and OBW. I just keep building up all my colors until I have nearly 30 in green,red and black. Then I unleash Patch and if that doesn't finish him off, then I take advantage of the strike tiles with several Intimidations. All the while though, you need to keep using OBW's blue to keep your health up.
Is rubberbanding in this event relatively low? In the last sub I had a 2k lead in hard for first with around an hour to go and no one caught up. Now in the current hard sub, the person in first was ahead by around 8000 and after a full clear it only got me to around 4000 points behind him. None of the nodes I played which were full even reached 1000 points.0 -

It takes more than 1 full clear to catch up but you can rubberband back to the lead depending on the bracket. The guy currently in the lead is probably going to run into scaling issues (of course super-buffed Daken likely makes scaling less of an issue this round) after about 48hrs and then it's pretty easy to catch him in the final 12 YMMV.0 -
For Level 395 LThor I went the easy way: Hood - LDaken - Sentry. Good thing Sentry and LDaken are buffed0

I've had terrible luck with boards and cascades against fat-thor. 10+ of his colors is enough to just clean your clock. A critical tile anywhere in that cascade means he's unloading that pain on you before getting control back and it just isn't pretty. I did have one decent board with obw/ magnestorm and took almost no damage. Purple n blue fell from the sky like rain and I think he had a grand total of 4 turns where he wasn't stunned. If only every time could be half that easy... but this event he's just mulched whatever combo I sent him.
So... Most of my roster is right about 94, including my 3*'s. Some of my *** can go a bit higher now, and for instance hulk could be raised a bit from 94 to tank for significantly more characters. Yet if I raise him to, idk, say 110 to do that, won't that make the nodes more challenging for the rest of my roster as nodes scale to account for his level, even when I may not be using him regularly? My best 2 covered characters are hulk n spidey, and might help in certain nodes, but I resinous worry about that pushing up my personal scaling, not to mention possible effects to pvp events. Thoughts?0 -
I have a mostly ** roster but with a maxed Patch and my Punisher/Hawkeye Node is at 110. DareDevil Muscle Analyst is at 101. Depends more on how many cycles you hit I would guess. Hulk is definitely good at tanking.
The Rubberband is pretty strong so I am not in a rush to get into those 2.5 day subs.0 -
I have an additional 2 levels on both those nodes with no unbuffed characters over 94, so it seems even max covering and leveling a toon wouldn't hurt my pve experience. Pvp might be a different story... I really can't afford to hit the 166 wall earlier than I do now. I suck at pvp as it is. Heh0

Finally managed to beat 395 Thor. Was *really* close.
I used Patch, Hood, Spidey and a World Rupture team up. Thor actually got off his Yellow, but thankfully he didn't get enough cascaded green without matching. I had 10 blue and matched enough green in the time he was stunned to unleashed a Berserked World Rupture.0 -
Daredevil(68) - Muscle(68) - Analyst(68)
I can't beat this to save my life. Who do you guys kill first and why? It's not even worth it to me to keep trying anymore because I could be farming points on the easier battles. The rewards for these guys aren't even worth it, neither are the point values but they're by far the hardest ones to me in the Hard and normal simulator.0 -

Daredevil should die first because he doesn't have much health and downing him prevents the opponent from moving the board.
It's pretty easy with Daken but I'm guessing you don't have him. Still, Daredevil isn't exactly very tanky, even though the goons he paired up with do leverage his skills very well. Just don't touch the red tiles once Ambush is on the board until you down Daredevil. Any solid green ability should be able to do the trick even if you've red denied.0 -

I tried that and squeaked a win with Patch (lvl 120, 5/3/5) and Daken (lvl 100, 5/2/3). I've previously had success with Spider-Man (lvl 90 5/5/3). Stun is the weapon of choice.0 -
I took advantage of the strange interaction between Punisher's retribution and Deadpool's life of the party for the 2000 iso node in simulator hard.
First, focus on whittling down OBW with match damage, while gathering 8 red AP. Then when OBW was within the instant KO threshold, cast retribution, and Deadpool goes from full health to dead0 -

quick question about how scaling works for these events. so the nodes get harder over time, i get that. the nodes also get harder after each win. so what drives up scaling faster? do the nodes scale faster for me if i played every 2.5 hours or would they be easier if i didn't play until the very end, riding the rubberbanding...or would it be all the same in the end anyways. i currently have a lazy thor node at level 395. if i leave that node alone til the end of the sub will it not scale as fast versus if i cleared that node every 2.5 hours?0

I have not tested personally scaling in a while but it cannot be that bad if people can hit the nodes every 2.5 hours for 60 hours straight. Most of the scaling I see is global scaling but then I do try and get the placement I want with doing the minimum number of nodes. Your lazy thor node is a bad example since hes not going higher than 395 and I am fairly sure he is probably that for most people.0 -
If there isn't a cap on level scaling, the Thor only node would probably be around level 700 now. It's actually a lot easier than it's supposed to be because he can't ever go above level 395.0

For those worrying about level 395 Thor, know that his team-ups rock. Using a level 395 Call The Storm in PVP one-shots a full health Thor or Sentry. Made the run to 1100 super simple in the Beast event.0

token buying for events usually end almost 3 days before the events end? it says it ends at end of 2nd subs.0
