The community scaling on the essentials is so bad, that I am regularly wiping out on those nodes, so really no Lazy Thor covers for anybody except 166s.

I have never seen essential nodes reach the hard level by my second pass through them before.
I am staying solidly in the lthor covers (well, just one cover) with my 2* max roster. I think it comes down to luck and persistence. I'm not a superstar player, but I love the simulator and do pretty well for where I am. I'm even still in the simulator token range in my subs.

I went to bed last night top 10 across all three and then I find I'd only dropped to 40/23/12 when I get a chance to get back to it. I guess I'm not the only one who found it challenging.

It was fun finding myself as the only person in the top 10 of my normal sub with more than one Beast cover icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • It's been 6 hours since I cleared a single node and I have only dropped from 12th to 18th place. Methinks the scaling is slightly **** up.

Actually, I think the problem is teamups. If they are using similar teams and levels as past simulators, the teamup addition makes those teams that much harder and pushes them out of reach
  • The subs are only 200 people so there shouldn't be much movement there.

Though that said I'm not seeing too much movement in the main bracket either, and these missions aren't really that hard outside of Devil Dino.

My theories run in no particular order:
    1. No one cares about the rewards so no one is playing.
    2. Everyone is still ticked about Heroic Venom and not really playing.
    3. Everyone is just hanging back planning to try to rubberband the subs.
  • Pretty sure majority of the people really needs Lthor covers.

I've underestimated Captain Marvel. Her ability to use her hypersonic punch every other turn and energy absorbing ability make her pretty annoying when she's scaled up.

Well, I assume you know that's because of the goons' per turn gains and not low cost. However, yes, I sympathize. I took four of those and her blast attack and let's say I am not hitting that node again. -.-

But there isn't a goon in Simulator 6 on Hard and she still wrecks.

#3 is the most likely but I'm pretty sure Devil Dino will have something to say about that plan.

If R60 went in tomorrow morning the 'wait until the end' strat would backfire in most people's face.

Ripped me apart again too. Hood, Lazy Thor and Lazy Cap didn't work so great (granted that's probably because they're only L100ish). Hood at least stayed alive long enough for me to get rid of OBW, and I downed Falcon before Thor got smashed, but as soon as I started to hit Marvel, it was all over.

Even trying to stun lock her was only partially successful because as soon as the stun wore off I'd be getting hit with both her abilities and I'm stunned for two turns.

For your roster, maybe. The hard nodes wreaked havoc on my roster tonight. I was able to get some done, but I had to dig deep in the roster to find survivors to clear the easy side.

Yeah, I'm quite honestly on the rope here and I think I may have to run Daredevil here too. Taking out Falcon was easy and OBW isn't much problem. Marvel though, she is just crazy. It's gonna go be terrible if they introduce more 3 character team events. Noting all of the hard nodes I have problems with for later.

Lazy Cap and Thor are both a bit slow against pesky oBW and Falcon, even with Hood's help. Don't you have someone faster like HT, Ares (great because they can't use green), Psylocke, Daken, Punisher? Lazy Cap is still probably needed for taking Marvel down, but I would simply use stun TUs/oneshot her.

That's the problem with being one of the last nodes I tried - everyone who might be a better option were all hurt icon_lol.gif

I'm just trying different options out so I don't have to rely on Patchneto so much.

Just downed that particular node more easily than I felt I should have with Daredevil. Actually, he's pretty much owned everything except Devil Dino if there is a red user.
  • I did Thor + Magneto + Daken against Falcon/OBW/Marvel. Daken helps getting rid of OBW early, and after she's gone you can play it out like a normal fight. Most of these fights would be quite hard without Daken because they usually have a guy with relatively low HP that does a ton of damage that you have to get rid of very quickly, and Daken is easily the best at getting rid of low HP characters. Falcon helps a lot too, though you can't use him on the aforementioned fight, and probably don't want to use him on the essential nodes because you'd end up with basically only match damage with a Beast/Daken/Falcon team, which is workable but not ideal.

Ahh... That would explain why my position in both main and sub brackets have been very stagnant even when I've left subs unattended for a full day. I've stayed top30 with very little effort. Weird. I guess vets are just going to start late.

I am a little bit worried about reaching that 120k progression reward, though. Node points are not exactly skyrocketing so far...

When I started this morning. The Normal sub was at maximum rubber band limit (x10) and the Hard sub was at x8.7. Their are not a huge number of points up for grabs in the Normal sub pre refresh.

I certainly do, but unfortunately the one I have the best hope of getting I'm maxed on. Right now my LThor is 2-0-5.
