  • So Lab sub just finished up, and it looks like Scotland yard is loading next.

Why? The intel goal has been met. Are we just making trouble for the Hood and his Maggia crones now?

And why are the main nodes no-repeat red checks?

Does anyone remember the point of this whole thing? icon_e_confused.gificon_question.gif

This event was always each of the 3 subs twice plus the main node whenever they unlock. The main nodes used to refresh and rubberband off the main leader, which was one of the worst ideas ever, so they finally learned their lesson the third time around. I wouldn't mind if they make the last two nodes a bit easier if they're not meant to be repeatable though...

Is anyone missing rewards from the last sub-event that finished? I should have finished in the top 50 for a Thick as Thieves token, some ISO and some Hero points. All of those are precious as gold to me as my account is under two weeks. :/
Generally speaking, rewards can take up to an hour to reach you. Keep that in mind in the future.

At 6 days this event is too long for me. It has become a drag at this last part

    Yup.

The subs play through twice, just in case players slack off and the main map is not opened until the final day of the event.

That said, as Phantron notes, every previous attempt so far at running TaT has been an epic disaster. On the first attempt, the combination of the initial horrific incarnation of scaling + mad musical chairs of the top 100 in each bracket being total potluck was quite scarring. On the second attempt, the devs badly miscalculated the number of points needed to unlock the main map, resulting in the main map being unlocked after the first pass of the subs, leading to 3.5 days of global rubberband and placement scores that required four times the maximum progression reward.

So, on this third attempt, the devs said one-and-done to the main map. To be honest, its a pretty good idea. The nodes are high value, which enable players to hit the progression targets, while keeping the integrity of placement in the subs valid for overall event ranking. I'm okay with this.

Yeah this run of TaT has been refreshingly tiny kitty free

Devs also experimented with end times, even more bad for europeans. Last 2 subs ended at 02.00 am, and 04.00 am.
    Congratulations !!!

    Fixed that for you.

The first two finished at 2AM and 4AM for me.

This was exactly the same as last time though. Only difference this time around was a better guess for the global point value thing and the non-repeatable main nodes. The 26 hour subs are not an experiment they shouldn't already know the answer for.

I'm actually fine with 1am EST end times but I know EU players aren't happy with it. One of the sub's ended in the middle of the day at like 6pm (I think), that felt a bit better since that should be 11pm GMT. (Did not check timezones.)

I dont know if you are correct. I played TaT before, Im in day around 100, playing daily. I play each event one hour before ends. And I can tell you, there has NOT been 02.00 am and 04.00 end time yet. (as I said, in last 100 days).

Timezones man, timezones. Everyone has the exact same end time but don't live in the exact same timezone.

There were, last time TaT has been run.
I think that was in the last 100 days, too.
I ignored the subs with 2 am and 4 am end times last time, too.

I'm in a weird position. Want to try to keep top 300 in the sub so I get that TaT pack as have a few of those covers now, but actually need to fall places in the main event as I need a 2* Magneto way more than a Spidey.

I wouldn't bother - you'll get plenty of Mags covers in PVP if you're patient.

Spidey is a bit **** but he's a lot harder to get your hands on.

This. It's pretty senseless to prioritize a 2* at this point when all of them are available as a PvP reward from regular matches. I spent a good deal myself waiting for my last purple for MN Mags but never obtained it until they because regular rewards. Since then, I've built each 2* how I want and get enough covers to respect all of them within the same week of a PvP if needed.

    Really?

Only been playing a couple of weeks, have been really lucky pulling 3* covers but it's more useful to actually have 2* ones I can use! All out of roster space already, and haven't added 3* Sentry yet (which I got from Standard this morning, mental luck)

We'll keep in mind that Spider-Man will probably be needed for essential nodes in the next PVE. I hope you don't sell Sentry or let him expire, he's a top tier character for your defense once you've got him up to 11+ covers

Oh I'm definitely not letting him go when I've got Venom and Bullseye stinking up my roster at the moment icon_lol.gif
