Nodes that were made with the sole purpose to be irritating or nodes worth a pathetic amount of points to try to force grinding... 3* prizes covers are a character needed to near uselessness... a (probably) impossible to get final progress reward cover... Yeah, any motivation I had for this event is fading fast.

i ran hulk LT and LD and had no problems. Keep Hulk out front to tank hits. his anger will fuel dakans strike tiles and thors call the storm. it was a cake walk. give it a try. good luck.

Rich is a transition player, he most probably has no LDaken (Daken! Not Dakan please) or LT.
    Or at least usable ones.

I sure as hell don't thus my Punny/Psyduck/Hood suggestion earlier.

What makes the Ragnarok battle easy by the way? I haven't attempted it yet, if only because a 3* opponent scares the **** out of me, let alone with Ares in there too. Unless I'm missing something?

Ares is far scarier than Rags now icon_e_wink.gif

As for what makes it easy, are you talking about the rating of the node itself (e.g. trivial, easy, deadly)? That's based on the average level of your roster compared to the levels of the opponents in the node.

Rags himself isn't particularly difficult but he is tedious to get past. He's got a lot of health and Godlike Power has a pretty good chance at setting off cascades so he can often do a surprising amount of damage.

Sorry yes, it is rated as easy in the node for me, which is just bizarre as I'm pretty confident I'd get massacred in there, even if Hulk just soaked up the bulk of the damage!
  • There is definitely mild rubberbanding, but 40000 is going to be tough if you are not playing all the subevents, I think.

Playing the 2 required nodes were giving out 500 total points yesterday and 800 total points this morning

When they open the main sub that is when the rubberbanding will occur. The main sub in TaT has usually been where all the points come into play.

What they said. Just examples: I only have a 1 Yellow LT, 1 Blue Psylocke, 2 Yellow Storm. I have a Lazy Daken that could get up to 89, but I still haven't gotten ANY Pheromone Rage covers for him, so no Strike Tiles. :/ I have 3 3* characters over level 100, and they're a 2/3/4 Punisher, a 1/3/5 Patch, and 5/2/3 Hulk.

I'm seriously thinking about just saying screw it to the rest of this round. Or at least that Node. Right now, my point values for them all are:

    I: 144
    II: 491
    III: 188
    IV: 577
    V: 231
    VI: 361
    VII: 534

And since VII can go fornicate itself with an iron stick, I guess I'll play through I - VI now and then again when we're near the end.

Unless they lower the 1.2B bar a bit the nodes will not open up after with 22 hours down and 134 to go with at 10%. Unless its just for some special node for a cover or something.

I just completly messed up my sub. I thought it ended in 15min not 2hrs in 15 min. I am guessing I will be out of the top 50 and the extra HP icon_e_sad.gif

I came to see if 2hrs were added to the sub since I did this too...I swear I timed it out right last night....

Oh. And I have done 2 complete clears with refreshes. Each clear was precisely 875 points.

When I started the second clear, I was ranked #187 in my sub. That does not bode well for RB.

Here it shows when the end time is. It was posted 2:22 CST so the sub is ending correctly I just assumed it was a 24hr sub. This means the end times will be rotating so it will be 25-26 hour subs. Oh Bother

I believe this is the event with all subs at 26 hours so the end time gets 2 hours later every day.

Yeah, this one has been annoying me - Magneto with all that blue, and even lm35 adding his shields to the mix.

I've started running my maxed Patch (only 3* I have maxed) against one, with Hood for a little AP steal and Deadpool for cheap red attack, and Berserk Raging as soon as I can to take down Magneto. Yes that means LM35 starts doing tons of damage with the strikes I give him, but that's the price I gotta pay. Deadpool's black can at least protect the Hood from the post-BR match damage.

Question: Is this like the Deadpool PVE in that the rubberbanding is off the Subs instead of the Main? In Deadpool the subs had 1000 players vs 500 in the main, so it worked out well.
  • All the subs I'm aware in the history of game, with the exception of the first two iteration of The Hulk, rubberbands off the overall sub leader. Main bracket nodes can only rubberband off the overall main leader because nothing else would even make sense as you can easily have multiple subs open while the main bracket nodes are available.

People really confuse node base value and rubberband strength. Yesterday I noticed my starting node was 100 points and it went up to about 150 points a few hours later and people probably say that's weak rubberbanding. What if the value was 1000 and it went up to 1500? I bet people will say that's strong rubberband even though it's exactly the same. The main bracket nodes in TaT historically have been worth a crazy amount of points. A weak rubberband applied to very high base points still results in very high point nodes.

Sigh. I have a really busy few days ahead of me, so I don't think I'll have time to grind enough points for the Deadpool cover. The fact that I don't already have a Deadpool cover and so can't do the essential nodes doesn't help.

But I really want to smack my enemies with whales, darnit!

You just wait till the main nodes are unlocked. I'd recommend it to anyone with no DP covers unless they want to try their luck with the event tokens from subs. And Cat-5 prizes are also Deadpool.

I hope you're right. I don't even care about having a super-powerful fully covered Deadpool, I just want one purple cover for the whale-smacking and I'll be happy. icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • Rusalka, I'd focus on Cat-5, if I were you. I think DP is top 100 there.
