  • [Has anyone tried Radar Sense? It used to steal Env AP, right? Even if it does steal TU AP, I doubt that is much comfort.

    That's a very good question. His ability pre-patch said that it stole from "all colors", but not EAP.

    Does the new version steal TUAP (White)? I'm guessing probably not, but still would be worthwhile to check out.
  • We absolutely need a way to remove unwanted teamups. I've got a low-level, single cover sniper rifle that's both expensive to use and useless.

    Just throw it at a fight. Unless you are boosting all 3 possible boosts/team ups in every fight there will be a vacancy somewhere you can chuck it away.

    I've tried that, and I haven't yet gotten enough TU AP to use it.

    Going to the prologue with a low powered team so you can save up enough AP to dump ONE of these abilities makes prologue healing look like the least tedious thing in history. I though they didn't want that kind of game mechanic?

    You have to laugh that they removed prologue Healing, and replaced it with prologue Unwanted Team-up Dumping. icon_lol.gif

    In other laughable news, I had a battle where the AI used 9 Teamup AP to cast ... Mistress of the Elements for 5 TU AP. icon_lol.gif

    Anyone seen a Cap Red or Blue go off? Does it give the coloured AP back?

    Is everyone else only getting 2 TU AP per match?
    Even when I match 3 or 4 tiles, always just 2 gained... icon_e_sad.gif

    In another thread someone confirmed that it does give back the colored AP.

    I've thought about last night's info reveal by IceIX about the system works on "defense" or for the AI in PvE, and the lightbulb flickered on.

    I'm scared.

    Think about it.

    The AI can now bring in any three abilities in every fight now.

    Think about Daken/Juggs/Venom bringing in Supernova/CoTS/RotP/WR/BR/TBTI as assists...

    Now, realize that there is NO way to drain TU (White) AP from the enemy team.
    -- Hood can't steal White.
    -- OBW can't steal White.
    -- Storm can remove White from the board, but not directly from the opposing team.

    The only way to prevent the AI from firing off its stockpiled megabombs is to play every single match as pure White denial. But, if a player plays pure White denial, then the AI will more than happily gather up all its needed colors while the player is trying to prevent the Team-Ups from occurring.

    Prepare for a future, where almost every match will feature massive unavoidable damage. The only way to win is to be the first to race to whatever colors needed to win on your roster or race to be the first one to be able throw off nuclear-powered White Team-Ups. Escalating arms race, indeed.

    I feel the same way and have been venting in our alliance chat those same and similar points. It makes no sense to have such
    Randomness instead of basing it of your own actual roster. Really, a team with no Sentry can fire world rupture and that makes sense? I would have rather seen let the player accumulate TU ap over time to buy or unlock special one time use moves. New avengers assemble, a void damage burst, etc... that you use accumulated TU ap to purchase. That would have been a better meta change not figuring out whose ap to deny and try to deny TU ap bc 3 more are possible. Maybe we should just play rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to use their moves too while we are at it.

    Very important question incoming:

    In a future PvE event (such as Simulator or something similar), if we face Devil Dinosaur, will we be able to get his green ability as a team-up?
  • I like that the TUs don't disappear when you don't use them, but I feel that if you don't use them, they REALLY, REALLY, REALLY should keep them equipped for the next fight.
  • Couple of things:

    - I am pretty sure TUP matches dont benefit from strike tiles (please confirm)
    - Getting lvl1-40 abilities from seed teams (where you cannot use them again due to character themed LR) is not fun - Can we please remove this at least from Lightning rounds
    - Need an option to delete unwanted TUPs

    Yes, TUAP is not affected by strike tiles. I assume neither by protect tiles.
    If you match both coloured AP and TUAP, TUAP will behave like old EAP in that if you click/tap the colour to make the match, you will get 100% damage and amount of AP on the colour, but reduced damage and amount of AP on TUAP, so always click/tap the TUAP to make a double match.
    Crit tiles do not affect TUAP either... If you have a critical match-3 with TUAP, you only gain 2 TUAP.
    The tank now tanks TUAP as well, which is nice.

    Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but a definite **** moment:
    Ice mentioned that a version of a character cannot take this character's TUs into fight. We, players, surely cannot, but the AI can. Is it intended?

    Are team-ups a one-time use item for the AI as well? It would be pretty imbalanced if the AI landed a world rupture, sunder, and <insert cheap ability> all together and fired them off multiple times per match.

    The reason that I ask is because I got an AI with both World Rupture and Sunder in a PvE node a little while ago. Lucky for me, I was able to deny the team-up AP and won the match, but it had potential to really screw me over...

    I apologize for not reading this entire thread yet but can anyone tell me if there's a reason to hold off on updating my game until the current PVP/PVE ends?
