Oh you were just iso farming? I skipped you like 5 times when it was only showing me 6 people. It took all 90 minutes of constant playing, but I got top 8 by grinding against people with just level 15 rags

I think a few in the top 10 were keeping each other out of the top 2. I know I was just constantly retaliating against 2 people in the top 5 and I was 4-5th as well whenever I checked. Fun stuff!

To pull in the conversation from the Character Discussion thread... how often do you get more than 9 blue and red (18 total) to make it worthwhile to go over 3 purple? Admittedly his red isn't all that great, but at 2 AP it has some utility. I'm also contemplating a 5/4/4 build... certainly blue is going to 5 though.

The increase in tiles that can be swapped is not the only factor at 5 purple, it also does more damage per swap as well.

I'm at 5/1/4 and I usually get 8-9 swaps. At Lv 80 I think I just passed the point where I can 1 shot c storm with 8 swaps, which makes a big deal. I highly recommend at least 4 purple. I decided to go 5/3/5 myself.

You can use blue power to create additional tiles for swapping so it's not unusual to get more than 9. A rare devastating 12 swap is more satisfying than a 3AP red.

I just want to admit that I attacked Longadin like 20 times or something in the last mag round because you were literally the only 400 pointer I could see, and apparently the same the other way too so I got 1st place really easily. So while I feel kinda bad for spamming attacks on you I had to do what was necessary to ensure I secured my own Mag red

Tanked myself every single round inbetween the previous mag round and this... sure was effective.

Huh. You're right. I decided that, at worst, I'd go 5/4/4 -- the damage did increase from 223 to 278 just by going from 3->4 on purple. No character level change.

Going to be 5/3/5 for sure now. Especially since red requires either getting top 2 or a lucky coin pull (which is how I got my 1 red so far... from a standard token even).

Edit: Oh, and went for a Diabolical token in that Mags round. YAY! ANOTHER LOKI! He's nearly maxed now (4/5).

The other thing I've noticed about mags purple is that...if theres 20 blues and 3 reds on the board...he targets all 20 blues instead of just 3...and does damage like he did that many tile swaps. I thought he would only target 3 because that's what forum members said but i've tested this in an extreme condition (after a forest fire) and saw him target almost every red tile.

Anybody else verify?

At last, i am in Rags club now. Had a 0/3. Thanks for the hunt event for mountains of iso, i leveled my dr.doom to 15-77 and didnt even get a single attack in rag tour and finished #5. Doom just destroys.

Are you certain the damage was that high? According to the description, he can only do 13 swaps max at rank 5. I think all tiles flash, regardless of how many swaps are actually made.

Maybe it takes the average? So 20+3/2 ..round down ..equivalent to an 11 swap? Could it be what he always does and only shows the fewest swaps available?

Might sound hollow, but me putting Bag Man and Classic Hawkeye out there was not an attempt to 'game' the system, in terms of tanking my overall rank. Was simply trying to give some easy iso back to those who I have hit in the past! Noticed that matchmaking has gone haywire since, but if all this results in an overall better matchmaking system, I will be happy for it.
